India – Republic Rise to Power
March 11, 2012
By Padmini Arhant
India – a secular, diverse society with political complexities, glaring social and economic disparity is deprived of pervasive progress due to stifling corruption, weak political opposition, selective judicial action, lawlessness amongst upper echelons trickling down to bottom bureaucracy and,
Above all abuse of power at the apex has undermined democracy leading towards authoritarianism.
The numerous scams in five years have smeared national image, cost taxpayers in trillion dollars upon recovery could potentially wipe out disproportionate poverty, hunger and disease in the society.
Average citizens also faced with persistent inflation and fuel price hikes regardless of international market buoyancy.
The economic growth has been on downward trend from the predicted 9% to relatively modest 6% for an emerging economy with escalating fiscal deficit posing greater challenge in the steady climb across the spectrum.
Evidently the frustrated vast majority conveyed their utter dissatisfaction with status quo in recent state elections against political leaderships especially the ruling power inability and lack of initiative to resolve major problems confronting the states and nation at large.
India with significant youth population and talent galore is suppressed from achieving phenomenal feat in every aspect predominantly attributed to feudalists’ political and economic monopoly reining control over 1.2 billion mass destiny.
The global empire implant in political system throughout the world as proxy governments to serve exclusive interest with monetary rewards via hegemony owned Swiss bank accounts and impunity from routine embezzlements and treason is the contemporary epidemic demanding potent measures to eradicate agents and source.
The long aspired global dominance is methodically implemented to subjugate nations exploiting human capital and natural resources to benefit nexus group and members sworn allegiance to the cabal.
Sinister organization being opposed to nationalists prefers narcissists to carry out agenda victimizing trusting citizenry across the globe.
Citizens’ choice to elect governments against prevalent norm is vilified with deliberate unrest to cause mayhem.
In India – The globalists having infiltrated political and economic sectors,
The attempt to sabotage military is nearly successful with subservient administration in New Delhi diligently following order against national security.
Alongside Indian media, print press, movie industry in Mumbai and southern India coalescence not excluding bourgeois loyalty are compounding elements in treachery eroding moral, ethical and cultural values – that were once cherished in Indian society.
These segments support aimed at individual gains considering illicit wealth accumulation and money laundering facilitated through investments in Bollywood and sports ventures meet globalists’ criteria depriving remaining demography basic needs and dignified life.
The entertainment sector generating revenue is not without underworld mafia collusion with capital infusion.
Hence anti-corruption proposals and serious crackdown of the cartel is met with resistance using cinematic format and articles constituting character defamation with punitive damages in legal course to curtail deceptive tactics and false propaganda against political targets.
The convoluted celluloid themes degraded into voyeurism and media outlets promotion reveal the writer, filmmaker particularly their commercial performers personal life story and debauchery enabling award winning performance with no talent requirement for real life portrayal.
Desperate times seeking desperate measures is confirmed in the precipitous decline of entertainment arts politicized with economic motives and unscrupulous means to hall of fame more appropriately notoriety sustenance.
Not to mention the audience deteriorating discernment accepting deflection in the form of infotainment.
Self-detrimental activities fixated on perversion and subversion fail to recognize karmic effects imparting valuable lessons in life.
The collaboration is a major impediment in moving India forward with the upper-middle class and high society backing corrupt establishment while A-political middle class protecting individual honor.
The country is dependent on marginalized and disenfranchised coalition to rise to the occasion and defend the nation from peril.
Congress government under Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh leaderships championed undemocratic rule of law against true patriots in the society.
Shri Anna Hazare – the Gandhian led anti-corruption rally was mocked and incriminated with the leader arrested and placed in Tihar jail (Federal prison for worst crimes).
The rest of his team continuously harassed with unsubstantiated charges including physical assault against one member to deter graft momentum.
The administration imposed mandatory retirement on the Chief of Army Staff General Vijay Kumar Singh – the army veteran known for patriotism and valor demonstrated in the military high command officer’s career.
Notwithstanding the General’s deep respect and faith in democracy – unique characteristic in the current environment with democracy’s immediate threat emanating from military usurpation.
The ruling power, judiciary and media role in Army General V.K. Singh age row is reprehensible showing complete disregard towards those risking their lives for the country.
Contrarily the appeasement diminishing journalistic standards and judicial sanctity in safeguarding traitors embedded in politics, economics and entertainment industry proves misplaced gratitude and complicity in derailing national prospects on the horizon.
Furthermore, the Congress leaderships’ decision to replace General V.K. Singh with Lieutenant General Bikram Singh at foreign power’s behest is extremely disturbing based on undesirable developments by globalists eyeing on India’s largest army 1.3 million personnel to accomplish the diabolical quest – world supremacy at non-western forces sacrifice.
Lt. Gen. Bikram Singh profile is reportedly marred with controversies and convictions in the domestic and international postings such as –
Alleged fake encounter resulting in the 60 year old civilian death in Jammu and Kashmir in 2001.
During Multinationals UN Peace Keeping Mission in Congo as Deputy Force Commander– Soldiers accused of rape under his direct command.
The list goes on with other allegations that government has willfully discarded and hastily announced the appointment of Lt. Gen. Bikram Singh three months ahead of schedule overriding 60 days protocol.
The unprecedented move by the government in the aggressive demand for Gen. V.K. Singh to step down when the General’s term does not expire until late May 2013 is suggestive of the puppet regime adherence to foreign command and,
The eagerness in organizing contingency under tainted Army Chief expected to cooperate with western hierarchy than incumbent General V.K. Singh.
Notably Lt. General Bikram Singh is also the Army War College and the US Army War College, Pennsylvania, alumnus according to the leading Indian news daily report.
Similarly the contentious Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) – carte blanche to armed forces including immunity on atrocity against civilians has taken toll on many innocent lives in Eastern India – Manipur, Assam, Nagaland and Northern region specifically Kashmir Valley.
The protester Irom Chanu Sharmila from the Eastern State of Manipur has been fasting for over ten years and surviving through nasal feeding until today.
The compassionate peace activist has pledged her life seeking AFSPA withdrawal from her home state only to be rejected by the government and opposition in the false sense of security against insurgency.
In fact AFSPA have verifiably committed unspeakable crimes against locals mostly defenseless villagers that prompted Irom Sharmila – then a young woman from the village to observe hunger strike against AFSPA.
The draconian law – Armed Forces Special Powers Ordinance inherited from colonial power was introduced in 1942 granting unlimited authority to armed forces to curb India’s political movement in the occupied colony.
Since then governments from all political factions have been apathetic to the cause despite reports on AFSPA violence against citizens in Manipur, Nagaland, Assam and Kashmir.
Abolition of AFSPA would not only bring relief to the beleaguered states but also eliminate any militancy produced by AFSPA presence in the territory.
Congress government under Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh stewardship has not spared the intellectuals in the society per accounts from eminent scientist Professor. C.N.R. Rao.
The scientists at Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) were the victims of brazen conduct.
According to the reports Prof. C.N.R. Rao – a renowned scientist and Head of the Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister expressed disappointment over the removal of ISRO Chief G. Madhavan Nair and three fellow scientists by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi government.
“Prof. Rao had stated that the scientists were “thrown out like garbage” for their alleged role in the Antrix-Devas deal on allocation of scarce S-band space segment to private firm Devas.
“People who have served the country, served the organization for long, you cannot throw them like garbage.
That’s what they have done. They have literally thrown them out of the window like garbage,” the professor said, voicing outrage at the action.
“They have not treated corrupt persons in politics, in public life like that.
Why only scientists have been picked up? asked Prof. Rao, also Honorary President of Bangalore-based Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research.
“Is this the way to treat anybody?
Nobody will work for these (government) organizations if this is the way they are treated,” Prof. Rao.
Prof. Rao targeted Mr. Narayanasamy – Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Prime Minister’s Office Chief Spokesperson for his reported comments that –
The government decision was taken to send a strong message to the scientific community that no wrongdoing would be tolerated.”
Professor Rao is absolutely right in the criticism of double standards in politics and more so with Mrs. Sonia Gandhi governance.
Congress government zero tolerance to wrongdoing would be credible and praiseworthy upon universal application of the principle beginning with Congress Party President Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, Home Minister P. Chidambaram, Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal, Law Minister Salman Khurshid and Minister Narayanasamy epitomizing corruption and systemic abuse of power in Indian political history.
Besides the ruling power dereliction of duty with spate of terror attacks on their watch, unresolved state conflicts like Telengana in Andhra Pradesh,
Manipur and Nagaland blockade prolonged for months,
Maoists clashes with government troops and,
Mullaperiyar dam dispute between Southern States Kerala and Tamil Nadu summarize the performance or the lack thereof in the term in office.
Kudankulam Nuclear Project – The community in Kudankulam, Tirunelveli district – Southern India is strongly dissenting the nuclear power plant operation given the disasters in Chernobyl and Fukushima with generational impact on the people suffering from chronic illnesses and birth defects ascribed to contaminated water and air.
Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh accusation of US based NGO intervention responsible for nuclear standoff and unable to justify the claim arguably exemplifies Congress government consistent strategy to scapegoat others on all issues in contradiction to flattering titles conferred upon the highest office bearer.
The appeasers surrounding the PM together with nuclear power advocates myopic view on the broader nuclear matter is more self-serving than addressing national energy distribution.
Moreover the nuclear program touted as modernization of India is nonchalant at worst and naiveté at best in the equatorial part of India that provides for solar energy manufacturing adequately satisfying energy independence.
Treading along nuclear energy path is counterproductive and unnecessarily foments nuclear arms race in the fragile Indian sub-continent bordering with nuclear neighbors Pakistan and China.
United States agreement with India on enriched uranium delivery for this purpose violates the stance against Iran with world war III hovering clarifying US influence to prepare India as the ally in the cataclysmic event.
Therefore honest discussion on nuclear armament through nuclear program would enable better understanding of the sensitive global security concerns in the increasingly volatile conditions created by the west.
Nuclear summit scheduled in March 2012 could shed light on India’s nuclear ambition against citizens’ will and well being to arrive at a general consensus for nuclear free zone.
Abandonment of nuclear arsenal procured under nuclear energy pretext would unequivocally mitigate warfare and guarantee world peace.
However, the disarmament barring discrimination is essential to achieve the goal,
India’s political predicament is no different from other democracies in the world.
The prototype originating in western democracy like United States and United Kingdom is replicated in other places for one world government.
Those who have served World Bank, IMF, Council on Foreign relations (CFR), Tri lateral Commission…in the global network are nominated and approved world wide with the exception of nations or leaders declared adversaries precisely for not originating from the conclave.
The present government in New Delhi is the global empire favored with cabinet appointments and Indian Army Chief of Staff cherry picked by Washington for strategic advantage.
Domestic and foreign policy are dictated from Washington viz. Foreign Direct Investments or FDI to dissolve retail business in India for Wal Mart entry,
Kudankulam nuclear program with Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh and Mrs. Sonia Gandhi implicated in cash for votes to comply with Washington charter enforcing nuclear power plant against residents’ grievance.
Foreign policy – India voted for UNSC resolution against Syria comprising military strike in the language to suit western premise.
Plan of Action for Indian Youth and epic proportion of people enduring crippling corruption, social injustice and economic inequality –
First and foremost – India against corruption (IAC) energized across socio-economic boundaries in 2011 must form a political party.
The reason other political groups were vehemently against IAC as a political factor was to prevent the inevitable victory upon them contesting the election.
When Indian political apparatus could accommodate myriad representation in Parliament, the paranoia in welcoming IAC is self-explanatory.
The political fragments like DMK, AIADMK, BSP, SP, TMC…and multiple parties nationwide began from being lack luster to sought after political alliance irrespective of scandals, personality…and,
Some even associated with presumed conspiracy in the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi assassination ironically bonded in the deceased leader’s camp conforming to the axiom –
Politics makes strange bed-fellows.
Playing by the rules – Parliament upheld supreme over republic by Parliamentarians even though the concept defies logic with the former irrelevant in the absence of the latter.
The participants in the anti-corruption rally headed by Team Anna as the united front emerging to be a political contender would offer Indian electorate a viable choice against political parties with fair share of ethical burden and incompetence returning to power by default.
Younger generation from middle and lower income as well as poor economic backgrounds are the stakeholders with ruling elites and influential class denying them the opportunity to compete on par in the political and economic domain rife in nepotism.
State assembly election results in March 2012 is indicative of voters dilemma in Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Uttarakhand or previously Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka with impetus for trustworthy, clean and efficient political alternative to steer the nation in positive direction by legislating anti-corruption laws, robust judiciary and non-evasive political infrastructure inclusively representing mainstream rather than dynasty, oligarchy and celebrities alienated from reality.
India awakening / Jhago Bharat is imperative to reclaim sovereignty with Transfer of Power to the republic and not the imperial crown explained under blog post published on January 10, 2012 in International politics category titled –
Indian sub-continent –Sovereignty Return and Independent Republic Status
Pakistan unanimously passed legislation with declaration on sovereignty reclaimed in accordance with statehood identity in January 2012.
India is at the crossroads bifurcating into calamity from passivity and prosperity tied with integrity.
The unified voice against corruption last year displayed tremendous solidarity rocking the political pillars steeped in nefarious dealings jeopardizing national sovereignty and billion citizens hope for a promising future.
The urgency for a new formidable political party with Team Anna and India Against Corruption (IAC) by 2014 at municipal, district, state and national level dedicated to citizens empowerment is paramount to reach milestones in the twenty first century.
Anticipating legislation on corruption and other political reforms by civil society is deemed far-fetched notion in the powerful political circle.
As witnessed the political members from either parties are not inclined to expose their assets with the passage of Jan Lokpal bill and concerted effort to thwart legislation is prominent in the Parliamentary procedure.
Wishing Indian electorate long lasting political stability, peace and triumphant republic governed democracy.
Jai Bharat! Vande Mataram!
Peace to all!
Thank you.

Indian elections held in five states early March 2012 clarified mainstream mandate against corruption riddled government – UPA 2 Congress Party led by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh, Home Minister P. Chidambaram, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal, Law Minister Salman Khurshid (one of the candidates in the election) and last but not the least,
Rahul Gandhi – Son of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and General Secretary National Congress Party touted as heir apparent in the Indian dynasty under the guise of democracy.
Congress Party Chief banked enormous optimism considering vigorous campaign by Rahul Gandhi and rest of the family in the most populous and electorally crucial northern state in India – Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh – with 403 State Assembly seats representing 200 million population is also the largest in size and comparatively one of the poorest states in India.
U.P. being traditionally Nehru-Gandhi constituency was expected to catapult Rahul Gandhi’s political career aimed at the top position in the country – Prime Ministership to lead 1.2 billion electorates in South East Asia.
Subsequent to Congress leadership dismissal of overwhelming public demand for anti-corruption law,
The action largely emanating from corruption epidemic in the society and above mentioned leaders involvement in major national scandals ranging from –
Cash for Votes – Parliament members were charged and briefly held in custody with the accused released on bail for bribery to secure votes in the No Confidence motion against Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh and Mrs. Sonia Gandhi government.
2G Spectrum – Government distribution of licenses to selective corporations estimated at staggering costs to national treasury with key members like Home Minister P. Chidambaram and Congress Party leader Mrs. Sonia Gandhi cited as direct beneficiaries in the deal.
CWG Scandal – Common Wealth Games 2010 in New Delhi grounded until the eleventh hour marred with corruption is also linked with Congress government and Mrs. Sonia Gandhi.
Swiss Bank Accounts – Again Congress government refusal to pursue tax frauds and kickbacks from national arms contract such as Bofors Scam related to Mrs. Sonia Gandhi intervention in Italian businessman Quatrocchi investigation abandoned due to conflict of interest.
Not excluding numerous government projects,
Tax evasions among private sectors as well as celebrities from Bollywood movie industry with alleged black money hoardings were few of the many contentious issues tied to offshore deposits.
Corruption paralyzing average citizens lives across the nation with government leading the trend galvanized national movement in 2011 seeking stringent laws to curtail graft.
The Congress government reaction was violent crackdown in the anti-corruption rally that resulted in civilian death with several others seriously wounded from police violence.
When political power defy popular uprising on problems affecting daily existence, the consequences are ignored at that time.
However, the people in the lower economic strata in Uttar Pradesh followed by others in Punjab, Uttarakhand and Goa delivered a fitting response with crippling defeat for the hegemony favored government in New Delhi.
The ruling party – Congress reportedly lost 4 out of 5 states in the closely observed elections with colossal failure for the leadership despite Indian print press and media coalescence sworn allegiance to foreign power control in New Delhi,
Along with bourgeois loyalty to political establishment protecting the famous, influential and powerful in the society – conforming to feudalist dominance at vast majority plight.
Poignantly Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh, Home Minister P. Chidambaram, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee served World Bank – the institution apparently instrumental in structuring UPA 2 prime portfolios and Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal appointment per U.S. State Department choice revealed in Wikileaks expose.
Fortunately, the marginalized demography neglected in the exclusive club in India is the force to reckon with and determined to democratically reclaim sovereignty from the globalists remote operation subjugating the world’s largest democracy through subservient proxy cohorts compromising national interest.
India is infiltrated in the same manner as Iran was in western installed regime under Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi rule with society’s upper echelons adapting to culture for western appeasement in the false assumption of modernity generating self-identity crisis within hierarchy.
The precedence goes further back when treason facilitated East India Company establishment in India with imperialists then eliminating traitors after using them for colonization.
Adding to complexity is the caste, creed and religion card played during election enabled by media outlets in semblance with divide and conquer strategy.
The print press self-contradictory articles on Indian society having transcended these elements while the newspaper attack against political targets and scapegoat is the irony amongst ruling class cashing in on polarization.
Meanwhile, significant electorate in Uttar Pradesh categorized as uneducated and not politically suave by the self-proclaimed elites surprised the mass media with a far better understanding of political reality than pundits and analysts commercialized views.
The election debacle for Congress as incumbent power at the federal or national level is a huge setback and entirely attributed to systemic abuse of power in office.
The public sentiments have been explicitly conveyed through ballots and concerned citizens call for national awakening to establish republic governed democracy.
Congratulations! To the voters and winners in the State Assembly elections in India.
Peace to all!
Thank you.

Tej:
Dear Reader:
Congress is too corrupt to be fixed ever. This party needs to be dismantled.
Look at the Congress starcast: Man Mohan Singh, Ambika Soni, Salman Khurshid, Kapil Sibal, Chidambaram, Beni Prasad Verma and the ring leaders of this circus: Sonia and Rahul.
Here is the plan to dismantle congress constitutionally:
1) Vote in every election
2) Vote against Congress and its interests and,
3) Discuss your vote with anyone who will listen.
If BSP or SP join Congress, they will become the enemy in the next election under rule 2 (vote against congress interests).
Congress is an anti-national party.
India has no credible media and no credible intelligentsia that can take principled stands against the government’s corruption, vote-banks, anti-national policy, and lack of passion for India.
And Congress is the root cause of this dismal state because if the dynasty must be protected at all cost, there is no room for any talent.
If you like the above three point plan to dismantle congress,
Please repeat it anywhere you can: in the Internet forums, on dining room tables, in drawing room sofas, in auto rickshaws, in trains, in army-barracks, in theatres, on stages, in letters to the editors everywhere, in colleges, in schools.
This message must be sustained.

January 10, 2012
By Padmini Arhant
Independence struggle for India and Pakistan resumes in the twenty first century.
British Imperial subjugation of the Indian sub-continent prevalent until now as colonies with autonomy limited to self-governance.
However, sovereignty still maintained with monarchy rather than the respective republic in Dominion status assignment.
Transfer of Power – the treaty signed prior to presumed independence in 1947 amid clandestine meetings held among then Royal representatives including Viceroy and,
Imperialist selected meager representation for several millions at that time do not specify the Imperial role in defense strategy of the ceded territories set up as Dominions.
Furthermore, the axiomatic ambivalence in Transfer of Power against surrender rule and,
Dominion instead of independent sovereign republic declared in –
The Indian Independence Act 1947 – 10 & 11 Geo 6. CH. 30 –
“An Act to make provision for the setting up in India of two independent Dominions, to substitute other provisions for certain provisions of the Government of India Act, 1935, which apply outside those Dominions, and to provide for other matters consequential on or connected with the setting up of those Dominions. [18 July 1947.]
Be it enacted by the King’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-
The new Dominions –
1. -(I) As from the fifteenth day of August, nineteen hundred and forty seven, two independent Dominions shall be set up in India, to be known respectively as India and Pakistan.
(2) The said Dominions are hereafter in this Act referred to as “the new Dominions”, and the said fifteenth day of August is hereafter in this Act referred to as “ the appointed day”.
Territories of the new Dominions –
2. —(I) Subject to the provisions of subsections (3) and (4) of this section, the territories of India shall be territories under the sovereignty of His Majesty which, immediately before the appointed day, were included in British India except the territories which, under subsection (2) of this section, are to be the territories of Pakistan.”
The issue emphasize on two key elements pertaining to this Act –
Dominion by definition –
Source – Legal Dictionary – Merriam Webster – Thank you.
Main Entry: do·min·ion
Pronunciation: d&-‘min-y&n
Function: noun
1 a: supreme authority: SOVEREIGNTY b: a territory over which such authority is exercised c often cap:
A self-governing nation (as Canada) of the Commonwealth other than the United Kingdom that acknowledges the British monarch as the head of the state.
Encyclopedia – Encyclopedia Britannica – Thank you.
Dominion
The status, prior to 1939, of each of the British Commonwealth countries of Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Union of South Africa, Eire, and Newfoundland.
Although there was no formal definition of dominion status,
A pronouncement by the Imperial Conference of 1926 described Great Britain and the dominions as “autonomous communities within the British Empire, equal in status, in no way subordinate one to another in any aspect of their domestic or external affairs, though united by a common allegiance to the Crown and freely associated as members of the British Commonwealth of Nations.”
The references – Dominion and sovereignty under His Majesty per
The British Empire treaty – The Indian Independence Act 1947 – raises poignant questions regarding paramountcy lapse.
Termination of His Majesty’s suzerainty over dominions and promulgation under Indian republic and vice versa for Pakistan would provide legitimacy as well as clarity on true emancipation.
Meanwhile, the status quo comparable to Hong Kong previously recognized as British colony under long-term lease and subsequent cession to China on July 1, 1997 formally ending British rule in that territory.
India and Pakistan assume autonomy on 99 year lease due to embedded technicalities implying feudalist authority in the official deeds – Transfer of Power Agreement and Indian Independence Act 1947.
These conditions are not inextricable and perhaps delineating the independent nature substituting dominion for sovereign republic befitting twenty first century paradigm would clearly define sovereignty free from external vested interest.
India – as the Indian sub-continent progenitor perceived an independent republic in national and worldview.
Contrary to the belief, the so-called largest democracy is yet to attain sovereignty under Indian republic.
Pakistan – British Raj quid pro quo through mutiny share the irony with India.
Under divide and rule imperialist strategy, India was partitioned creating mayhem with millions of lives lost in the demarcation.
Over two-century occupation that still continues in the region through proxy governments and colonial loyalists within society serving hegemonic agenda.
India and Pakistan notwithstanding former colonies across the globe identified as dominion remain members of commonwealth under British monarchy.
The extension of matter is related to Indian Citizenship Act explicitly denying mainstream population dual citizenship contradictory to foreign entities from Regality to those in position of authority granted privilege in holding multiple citizenships not barring unlimited access to India.
Such inherent anomalies lead to feudal empowerment at society’s marginalization.
It is time for India and Pakistan to rise to the occasion in reclaiming sovereignty under republic domain.
British Royalty acknowledgment accordingly relinquishing power and rights on territories stated as dominions in the official declarations would conform to nations meaningful and authentic liberation from foreign rule.
Expediting transformation in a peaceful and transparent manner would confirm sincere commitment to individual liberty.
Peace to all!
Thank you.

India – Anti-Corruption Law and No Confidence Vote Motion
December 29, 2011
By Padmini Arhant
The UPA derailment of Parliamentary process in the upper house i.e. Rajya Sabha on Jan Lokpal bill following deliberation and opposition parties amendments to strengthen the long awaited anti-corruption legislation is condemnable prompting winter session extension for ruling on monumental national issue concerning 1.2 billion lives.
In the live broadcast of the important legislative discourse,
The UPA ally RJD members at Congress Party Chief behest filibustering the bill passage and,
Subsequently Congress Party Ministers viz. Telecommunication Minister Kapil Sibal abrupt disruption declaring winter session conclusion just prior to ruling on Jan Lokpal confirms UPA trepidation on effective Jan Lokpal to eradicate corruption epidemic originating from political power.
UPA ministers and RJD performance overriding Parliamentary rule and Chair authority in direct violation of Parliamentary procedure are impeachable.
The unprecedented event evolving into chaos beyond reproach undermines national sovereignty.
Evidently UPA resistance towards Jan Lokpal in the past eighteen months claiming innocent life, imprisonment of peaceful and non-violent activists against corruption and last but not the least –
The autocratic imposition of Lokpal bill in Loksabha i.e. the lower house rejecting oppositions and civil society amendment requirements,
Not barring submissions from UPA significant allies – providing life support to remain in power is contradictory to Parliamentary protocol,
Besides exhibiting disdain and utter disregard for electorates’ representation in Parliament.
Parliament sanctity subjected to assault with UPA and RJD leaderships unruly conduct clearly demonstrates the destructive course to prevent Jan Lokpal emergence as the bastion to curtail corruption in the society.
The opposition’ account of Rajya Sabha – the upper house discussion on corruption bill transformed into mayhem solidifies unanimous disappointment and grave concern for Indian democracy.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh slighting the major opposition leader Arun Jaitley’s request to intervene in Parliament session revival for ruling is suggestive of UPA 2 pre-determined position to bury Jan Lokpal bill.
Based on congress led UPA government undemocratic policies since Jan Lokpal inception until now,
The opposition leaders from all parties as democratically elected officials are urged to reconvene Rajya Sabha and stand united in passing formidable Jan Lokpal incorporating civil society proposals and various relevant amendments from different factions in Parliament aimed at strengthening the bill –
Contributing to exemplary moral and ethical institution in Jan Lokpal to curb burgeoning corruption.
UPA government under Congress authority being a minority in Rajya Sabha dictating terms is unconstitutional and,
Instead obligatory to honor the majority approved bill addressing public requirements in totality.
Any procrastination would clarify Congress Party sincerity or the lack thereof in uprooting corruption within and outside political domain.
Failure to cooperate in Parliamentary proceedings for ruling on Jan Lokpal would lead to oppositions’ necessary actions –
Moving forward with amended Jan Lokpal in Rajya Sabha.
Motion for no confidence vote against Congress Party controlled UPA.
Parliamentary inquiry against legislators Sonia Gandhi, P.Chidambaram, Kapil Sibal, Veerappa Molly, Lalu Prasad, MoS Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narayanasamy and affiliates implicated in myriad national scandals.
Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh holding the highest position in administration is constitutionally bound to deliver the pledge defending republic and national interest over internal or external influence.
UPA under Congress Party has lost credibility and integrity to continue in power.
The opportunity for UPA 2 damage control is available in accepting responsibility with humility and abiding by the constitutional law enacting Jan Lokpal bill per Parliamentary propriety.
Hopefully rationality would prevail among Congress Party leaderships to relinquish Jan Lokpal demolition through misguided intrusion in Parliamentary affairs.
The public expectation is on BJP and other oppositions to prove reliability in passing robust Jan Lokpal bill this winter session and restore republic governed democracy.
In anticipation of successful Jan Lokpal legislation, the nation as the largest democracy awaits Parliament resumption to complete voting on revised Jan Lokpal bill in Rajya Sabha.
Jai Bharat!
Peace to all!
Thank you.

India – UPA Passed Lokpal Bill
December 29, 2011
By Padmini Arhant
The government Lokpal bill passed in the lower house i.e. Loksabha without general consensus is an artful manipulation defending those at the political helm from accountability.
After declining opposition amendments and civil society submission on core issues directly targeting the origin that could have yielded a robust and functional bill,
The UPA government obliged Congress President Sonia Gandhi dictum tactfully aimed at circumventing probe against ruling administration past, present and future escapades.
Jan Lokpal was a public request to the ruling power and elected representatives to address corruption culture considering acute moral degradation exacerbated with humility deficiency prevalent in the political system depicting –
The seed bears the fruit of the kind.
The government pressure through media adapting to state broadcast mode on Team Anna and anyone opposing legislation designed to serve personal interest is a threat to democracy.
Airtime squandered in mockery and relentless attacks against legitimate opposition on government strategies affecting billion lives is a disservice to mass communication taking journalism to the lowest ebb.
Media role in democracy is crucial in representing people voice unlike the contemporary setting with political parties media ownership serving as propaganda machinery to quell dissent against detrimental policy and legislation.
Political leaderships and party proprietary rights over media is convenient to silence majority.
Not to mention the dangerous trend subverting truth and weakening democracy.
The undemocratic precedence attributed to enormous illegal wealth at disposal invested in broadcast network and/or forge alliance with corporate run media for mass deception and eternal terms in office.
Nonetheless, the ongoing debate in the upper house viz. Rajya Sabha analyzing the weak pro-government Lokpal bill for modification with recommended core issues enumerated earlier premised on –
None are above the law would be a step in the positive direction.
Parliamentary sessions are redundant without reaching agreement on meaningful legislation with revolutionary changes required for effective corruption eradication.
Unfortunately, with the lack of political will and serious commitment the much-anticipated legislation becoming law continues to remain contentious facilitating partisan politics at public expense.
The unwillingness to act or lack luster performance in enacting important legislation would unequivocally backfire for political parties in the forthcoming state assembly polls and later during national election.
Underestimating electorate awareness and mounting frustration over pervasive corruption is a political gamble with irreversible course in the sweeping change on the horizon.
Jan Lokpal blockade is impunity to political and privileged class in crimes against society.
Passing Jan Lokpal with relevant measures adopted to deter rather than promote corruption is every elected official’s constitutional responsibility and Parliamentary duty regardless of political hierarchy.
Meanwhile, the ruling power and oppositions alike candid disclosure and surrender of assets acquired through misuse of power and illicit means is paramount to exemplify political class dedication to anti-corruption.
Failure to comply requirement that otherwise incumbent upon ordinary citizens with serious repercussions would clarify democracy legitimacy.
Ending corruption tradition along with secrecy era among the powerful is the cornerstone in the roadmap for corruption free India.
In the absence of these fundamentals the pursuit for economic and social development would be class oriented in the widening gap between the haves and have-nots,
Notwithstanding the adverse effects on national credibility and image.
Citizens’ initiative and activism across the spectrum is the key to liberation from corruption.
India against corruption under Shri Anna Hazare leadership and team efforts are commendable.
The crusade against corruption is primarily responsible for Jan Lokpal current discussion in Parliament.
India against corruption – national movement with Team Anna guidance epitomizes patriotism reflected in the selfless devotion and endurance of negative campaigns against them to derail the prospects of strong anti-corruption law.
The Parliamentarians have unique opportunity to redefine politics demonstrating ethical efficacy in the overwhelming endorsement of Jan Lokpal protecting nation at large against corruption.
Good Luck to Jan Lokpal approval and implementation this winter session!
Jai Bharat!
Peace to all!
Thank you.

Global Reality Check – Power, Pride and Prejudice
November 19, 2011
By Padmini Arhant
Humanity plight is largely attributed to shadow governance wielding power over politics, economics, religion, and social justice.
The military prowess and nuclear status is predominant threatening force subjugating nations to prioritize defense spending against citizens’ needs and nation building.
Any pre-emptive wars and preparation to strike targeted adversaries would be self-destructive with serious repercussions for eager participants in the world carnage.
Mideast naval fleet in the territory along with troop deployment from Iraq diverted to other closer borders viz. Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and UAE boosting pre-existing military presence is kamikaze operation doomed for failure.
The false propaganda to wage war at irreversible loss of precious lives and scarce economic resources after major debacles in Iraq and Afghanistan is yet another wake up call for citizens around the world to demand the end of illegal warfare and foreign occupation with troop return from the global base.
Current posturing in the Middle East and Asia Pacific to disrupt emerging freedom and economic growth plunging the region into chaos and catastrophe is detrimental to the source underestimating dire consequences beyond salvation.
Indian sub-continent – Pakistan in particular ever remaining the terror haven is convenient for defense industry considering the arms race to the nuclear neighbors incited against each other as nuclear rivals for strategic control.
Amazingly the worlds’ super power boasting sophisticated artillery and military together with NATO fighting the presumed war on terror previously against self-founded Al Qaeda and,
Presently Haqqani network – US State department admittedly having held meeting with them but somehow unable to terminate terrorism from the group consisting barely hundred renegades confirms the military industrial complex real mission – profitability through eternal violence claiming innocent lives all around.
Meanwhile nuclear armament in India at the White House behest prompting the subservient government in New Delhi sworn allegiance to global conglomerate in rejecting citizens’ dissent on nuclear proliferation under nuclear power pretext compounds volatility to the fragile regional relations.
Again utilizing certain disloyal and unscrupulous local elements in society,
The nexus influence on all matter especially economics, politics, nuclear and media is prominent undermining sovereignty,
To capitalize on globalization premised on collective productivity and selective income distribution – depriving the vast majority decent living standard reflecting the global power designated ‘third world’ category.
Furthermore, from Asia Pacific, Down under – Australia is the chief exporter of fossil fuel viz. coal to China.
With Labor leadership recent declaration to lift ban on uranium shipment to India amid compliance to U.S led military aggression in every frontier details the anti-environment and anti-peace adaptation to appease the apex authority.
Africa and Latin America marred with civil wars, drug wars and political instability due to U.S and foreign intervention via coup d’état as well as arms supply suppress the respective continents’ ability to overcome challenges exacerbated in corporate driven globalization for exclusive interests.
Island nations regardless of size and economic output plea to the powerful players on global warming – averting cataclysmic 2 degree Centigrade temperature rise by Kyoto Treaty ratification and COP16 implementation is unheeded with resistance from energy industry backed political leaderships representing key polluting states.
Europe grappling with contagion factor on solvency is determined to impose drastic cuts in vital programs – education, health, retirement and housing…hurting the youth, working families and senior citizens – the vulnerable in the society.
Contrarily no tax reform in taxing the super rich or,
Closing financial institutions that allow legal deposits of illegal funds from tax evasions, national treasury embezzlement such as kickbacks on government contracts, corruption deals, arms sales, extortion, human trafficking and narcotic trade…
Comprising varied remittances draining the originating country’s financial capacity with no accountability and transparency to uphold justice in a functional democracy –
None are above the law.
The investigation formality stops at expendable members while real beneficiaries under privileged status granted impunity from treason and significant crimes compromising national image, wealth and credibility.
United States – Treading on Europe’s path experiencing rising national debt at $14.6 trillion with,
No agreement on balanced budget, jobs bill, infra structure improvement to spur growth and,
Free trade instead of fair trade practice declined by the people in the partner nations viz. South Korea, Colombia and Panama.
Clean Energy Obstructionism – Congressional examination of Solyndra insolvency involving the White House with taxpayer dollar investment $528 million in solar energy company is legitimate for fact finding purpose and future guidelines.
Solyndra with inherent deficiencies from inception receiving federal funding to a tune of half billion dollars creates a perception – eluding to discredit renewable energy options counteracted by none other than big oil companies generously financing both political party candidates throughout congressional and Presidential race.
Likewise the exercise conducted on taxpayer dollars squandered in illegal invasion and occupation of foreign land specifically Iraq benefitting Halliburton and then subsidiary KBR Inc.( Kellog, Brown and Root) would eliminate partisan politics stigma in truth exploration and justification on taxpayer fund investments.
On the warfront – Troop withdrawal from Iraq would be genuine upon troops returning back to United States and not deployed on Iraq’s periphery or around Persian Gulf prevalent in the growing tension against Iran.
U.S and Allies double standards: Arab Spring effect in the Middle East is addressed differently and entirely dependent on political ties with U.S. and favored ally – Israel.
Syrian violent crackdown is reprehensible and assault on unarmed civilians with firearms seemingly a pattern among autocratic regimes ignoring the equally devastating conclusion witnessed particularly in Egypt and Libya.
The situation in Syria could be prevented from becoming Libya in terms of civil war had there not been arms delivery to dictatorial governments from democratic nations.
Military hardware disarmament through diplomatic channel viz. Arab League and GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) rigorous actions against leadership Bashar al-Assad and loyalists unlike U.S. and NATO dismantling in Libya would save many lives and contain violence.
There has been many hearings on Syria at the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee in Washington D.C.
However, same response and committee sessions are missing for other nations in the Middle East beginning with Palestinian statehood at the UN like Israeli state establishment in 1947.
Saudi army attacks against Bahrain citizens after former Defense Secretary Robert Gates visit to the Gulf State,
Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh approved merciless shooting of citizens in the non-violent dissent.
Egypt’s Supreme Council of the Armed Forces pledged to hold elections early November 2011 for civilian rule.
Instead Egyptian authorities brutality against dissenters in Tahrir Square and clashes with Coptic Christians followed by the latest row with Islamists is the trend repeating Mubarak era and could perhaps exit the same way.
Kuwait citizens have joined the Arab revolution with the discord in Kuwaiti Parliament and the stakes are much higher given,
The Al Sabah dynasty strong military alliance with United States represented by 25,000 U.S troops and more relocated from Iraq in the so-called troop withdrawal.
Saudi Arabia and Jordan as the western partners escape media attention and political leaderships scrutiny on the relevant political sea change in order.
Nuclear wise reiterating the earlier facts – The western powers vying to supply uranium to India and concurrent condemnation of Iran’s nuclear program is contradictory generating nuclear competitiveness and non-proliferation default in the expansive nuclear power aspiration.
Attempts or the lack thereof to resolve manufactured crises from economy to environment is losing authenticity with people frustration demonstrated in peaceful protests like ‘Occupy all over.’
The bipartisan Super Committee proposals on deficit control are more directed at Medicare, Medicaid and Social security – the American family lifeline.
Divestments from Pentagon unaudited expenditure and extravagant military ambitions drowning the U.S. and global economies in debts could aid economic stimulus through job creation and investments to broaden prospects in education, research, health and clean energy pursuits for healthy environment.
Occupy protesters were evacuated from zuccoti park during the week on community hazard basis and elsewhere the approach was aimed at crowd dispersal to discourage constitutional right for peaceful assembly.
Nonetheless, the Occupy movement is resilient in exhibiting strength from coast to coast devoid of media coverage.
The 99% bearing the brunt of 1% blunders in economic, political, social and environmental policies at home and globally is one voice unified in bringing about the long overdue change –
Republic governed democratic system principled in fairness and equality for all.
Greed motivated global dominance showing no respect for life anywhere is the root cause of humanity suffering.
Mighty, powerful and the privileged are exempt from tax and judicial probe on general to monumental crimes that is otherwise enforced upon ordinary citizens with inhumane and extraordinary conditions.
Judicial inquiry and investigative process effectively transformed into political gimmicks with guilty either set free or shielded from public exposure.
Selective corporate media and communication outlets in cohort with politics obsessed with truth subversion, perversion, and profanity in certain segments deteriorating in moral and ethical standards – the fundamentals of civilized society.
Not to mention the deviation from substance and solutions for global problems ascribed to flawed strategies and presumptuous decisions ignoring grievous outcome.
Peace and diplomacy discarded for war and belligerence to promote misguided agenda at life and planet peril.
The status quo dictated by few is unsustainable and arguably engaged in losing battle against worldwide people power.
Mass consciousness dedicated to peace and non-violence could gain momentum expediting inevitable change and turning hope into reality for seven billion –
Seeking political freedom, economic progress, social equality and environment protection.
Humility is the virtuous trail leading to profound values that enrich human character for inner peace and happiness.
Inaction and tolerance to injustice make the powerful become powerless reversing the course in human development.
Individuals possess the power to produce positive results in life.
Will power without compromising honesty and integrity to succeed against all odds would enable reaching the mountain peak.
The vibrant youth energy in every society is resourceful and could be optimally used in self and national empowerment committed to saving habitat and humanity.
On that optimistic note – Wishing Good Luck and Best Wishes to Global movement in solidarity for peace, liberty and prosperity for all.
Peace to all!
Thank you.

India – Tamil Nadu Koodankulam Nuclear Power Plant Standoff
November 11, 2011
By Padmini Arhant
Nuclear power plant Koodankulam in Tirunelveli district of southern state Tamil Nadu, India is currently faced with confrontation between people and government.
Local residents comprising fishermen and other traders along with families living near the site do not approve the nuclear power station and were opposed to the project since inception.
Thorough review of both positions including nuclear technology repercussions could perhaps shed light on core issues with viable alternatives concluding 25 years old citizens’ protest against nuclear option.
In the People v. Government nuclear standoff,
The population concern is largely related to –
Nuclear waste management,
Reservoir contamination,
Radiation exposure,
Nuclear plant design and operational expertise especially during emergency shutdown,
Government preparedness to deal with nuclear accidents such as –
Nuclear reactor malfunction in Chernobyl, Ukraine (Former USSR) in 1986
Fukushima Daichi disaster, Japan in March 2011
Upon investigation in June 2011, radioactive tritium leaks detected in nearly three quarters of all nuclear plants in the United States.
Close observation show more than half of them have concentration level beyond federal drinking water limit although main distribution source not yet affected with the exception of leaks in three plants having contaminated nearby drinking wells for home supply.
Nuclear waste processing plant explosion at Marcoule in Chusclan France on September 12, 2011 with one fatality and four workers severely injured.
Ammonia leaks from San Onofre Power Plant in Southern California, USA on November 1, 2011.
Public grievances are factual and legitimate considering industrialized nations’ experiences with nuclear power plant mishaps and systemic failure.
Despite stringent control and mechanism in place to address predictable and untoward circumstances, the developed nations are unable to guarantee risk free functionality.
Further, citizens’ conviction on industrial accidents is also attributed to government and private sector ineptness combined with apathy witnessed in Union Carbide gas leaks in Bhopal, India and,
The Gulf Coast BP oil spill in the United States last year – resulting in deaths and destruction of life leaving victims mere collateral damages in the worst disasters due to human negligence.
Meanwhile European nations – Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy and Switzerland are renouncing nuclear power and shutting down reactors entirely for a safer, cleaner and healthier environment.
Indian government stance on Koodankulam is a matter of huge investment estimated at US $3 billion (Rs. 13,615 Crores) with total production capacity 2GW electric power becoming the largest nuclear power complex in the nation allowing additional capability for 2 more reactors over ten years.
The bilateral agreements with Russia for third generation reactors and United States to import advanced uranium is another factor in government resistance to citizens’ request on nuclear projects termination.
Government moving forward through powerful advocates to support nuclear power plants nationwide without heeding citizens’ thoughts is exacerbating the contentious debate.
Apart from Koodankulam,
The other sites – Kalpakkam, Jaitapur, Kaiga, Rawatbhata, Kakrapar are planned for this purpose with some in existence and others under construction.
The government emissaries as experts in the nuclear field presenting qualified opinion strictly related to plant safety features only address the limited technical aspects of the vast nuclear issue.
Nuclear concept in the contemporary era is burgeoning security threat to mankind and environment at large proliferating nuclear status under nuclear power pretext regardless of abundant energy availability.
Besides, prevalent discord in honoring NPT (Non-Proliferation Treaty) specifically by nuclear states viz. United States, Israel, India and Pakistan – the prominent non- NPT members with targeted adversaries and maintaining fragile neighbor relations respectively create impediments for universal treaty on nuclear disarmament.
United States in an effort to avert proliferation contrarily facilitate nuclear arsenal possession in the U.S. – NATO nuclear weapons sharing policy through deployment of U.S. manufactured nuclear weapons in NATO states – Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Italy and Turkey.
The consignment dispatch and storage is in clear violation of NPT Article 1 and II eliminating impetus for nuclear and non-nuclear members cooperation.
Recognition and acknowledgment of individual responsibility is imperative to absolve the world of nuclear menace – the premise for protracted warfare at irreversible loss of human lives.
Notwithstanding financial burden in waging wars on trillion dollars deficit budget i.e. borrowed money escalating debts and economy to the brink of collapse.
Last but not the least endangering planet sustenance – the only habitat for life.
Shifting focus to solutions on India and global energy demand – the concerted action to harness renewable energy – solar, wind, hydropower, biomass, biofuel, geothermal etc. could adequately meet humanity’s energy requirements,
Alongside prohibiting arms race and wars in quest for oil – primary contributor to economic and political turmoil.
The nuclear power plant in Koodankulam and elsewhere could effectively be converted into solar, biodiesel and biofuel generator becoming the powerhouse for the nation promoting business and employment opportunities at home.
Vegetation from land cultivation for substantial biodiesel, biofuel output maximizing the present use of cow dung, oil yielding plants e.g. Jatropha plant seeds readily usable after extraction without refining process among diverse choices deserve investments to resolve energy crisis.
Modernizing mass transit system to suit commuter convenience could considerably reduce energy consumption.
Simultaneously adjusting urban lifestyle with energy saving appliances and customized routine would cutback energy expenditure.
Indian leaderships in favor of global consensus on arms embargo and nuclear non-proliferation launching ambitious nuclear power programs based on the ‘responsible’ nuclear state perception foment nuclear competitiveness in the region.
Not to mention the conflict of interest in the two dimensional nuclear goals.
Governments around the world increasingly ignoring citizens’ voices misusing people granted power to serve all but the electorate needs.
Electoral mandate is to prioritize immediate and life dependent challenges rather than executing extemporaneous policies evidently detrimental in reality.
The government leaderships and eminent experts are urged to abandon nuclear power for greater good on a broad perspective and,
Change course in energy pursuits adopting pragmatic and peaceful approach to transportation in the high-speed technology age.
Hopefully rationality would prevail in the anti-nuclear settlement with strong political will to accept facts and alleviate citizens’ plight ending the months long non-violent dissent.
Good Luck! To residents and activists in Koodankulam, Jaitapur, Kaiga…and other nuclear sites in the commitment to nuclear free zone.
Peace to all!
Thank you.

India – Anti-Corruption Action and Evasion
September 8, 2011
By Padmini Arhant
Subsequent to Jan Lokpal (anti-corruption) bill adoption in the Parliament on August 28, 2011, the actions against corruption has escalated but only limiting to those individuals considered expendable or sacrificial worthy.
Otherwise the top guns actually behind the monumental corruption scandals from 2G Spectrum to cash for votes scam are conveniently spared for political and economic reasons allowing politics to undermine judicial process in a democracy.
However, the Supreme Court decisions on the latest charges against head of the State in Tamil Nadu on disproportionate assets case and the Delhi High Court move towards Members of Parliament in cash for votes maintain judiciary function and constitutional requirement to uphold judicial system fair and equal for all in a democratic society.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) expeditious apprehension of illegal mining barons – the Reddy brothers – Janardhana Reddy and Karunakara Reddy, the former state legislators in the opposition BJP led government under ex-Chief Minister Yeddyurappa in Karnataka was long overdue considering their alliance with the then Chief Minister Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy of the Congress State government in Andhra Pradesh.
Again CBI under Central government control could be more effective in timely investigation and appropriate delivery without ruling power maneuver to suit political agenda.
Such anomalies prompted the civil society call to de-link CBI’s anti-corruption wing from government and brought under Jan Lokpal to improve efficacy as the national investigative authority especially involving political members with conflict of interest.
In other developments, Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh’s assets declaration is praiseworthy and clearly sets the motion for high profile as well as rank and file to follow suit within and across the aisle.
Congress Party Leaderships – Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and son Mr. Rahul Gandhi notwithstanding daughter Priyanka Vadra and key cabinet ministers assets have not been presented thus far.
Anti-corruption measures without black money and tax recovery does not fulfill the core objectives to curb fraud and eliminate absconding capability among the powerful and influential in the society.
For any political party to proclaim sacrosanct with counterproductive remarks viz. ‘salacious and spicy’ on factual findings in the cash for votes is blatant evasion of responsibility in the highest order.
In this context, it would be honorable for political parties to transcend hierarchy in set ting precedence for public scrutiny and thorough independent inquiry on all dealings and undertakings evidently depriving national income and compromising credibility including image as the emerging economic power.
Besides, the privileged class impropriety on national issues from political and economic to social and environmental matter confirms double standards with judiciary and law enforcement rendered defunct for those in power while exceeding protocol against mainstream and political targets in the haphazard effort to establish transparency and accountability.
The government’s recent escapade against team Anna members with the so-called privileged notices served on the individuals along with politically motivated allegations reaffirm the urgent need to downsize the misused political clout subverting Parliamentary role in national affairs and intimidation to suppress constitutional rights on free speech.
Members of Parliament objection to team Anna or any citizens’ demand for checks and balances in national policies or the lack thereof found detrimental to the country they are elected to serve reveals the inherent resistance to dismantle corruption built-in political structure.
The existing rule barring non-Parliamentary access to remove implicated members of Parliament during their term in office facilitates corruption culture considering the prerogative seldom utilized by other MP’s fearing political backlash and exposure to their possible share of similar involvements.
Hence fighting corruption could be meaningful when political parties begin with their domain and get the house in order prior to implementing strategies to deflect probe against the main protagonists in all major national unscrupulous unethical events undermining democracy.
For instance – in 2G Spectrum trial – Political bargain between UPA and DMK led to DMK MPs A. Raja and Kanimozhi in prison.
In order to demonstrate equal application of law in a sovereign nation, subjecting the then Finance Minister P.Chidambaram, Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal, Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh, Congress Party Leader Sonia Gandhi and,
Not excluding the ministers associated in any manner with Spectrum controversy from the oppositions regardless of contemporary view would clarify the constitutionality in determining none are above the law in a democratic society.
From the economic sector – the industrialists Mr. Anil Ambani and Mr. J.R.D.Tata as beneficiaries in the lucrative Spectrum contract resulting in phenomenal loss of revenue to national exchequer in the deliberate rejection to auction the government tangible asset favoring corporate donors against national interest,
Mr. Mukesh Ambani is also cited in direct violation of laws of land……
Commonwealth Games – Mr. Suresh Kalmadi presented as the prim facie with the drag net consisting other members from the Congress Party like the Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dixit, Congress Leader Sonia Gandhi, Congress Party General Secretary Rahul Gandhi…granted impunity against interrogation or legal
Cash for Votes – Although the government guided CBI arrested Mr. Amar Singh, the former member of Samajwadi party in Rajya Sabha, the proceedings beyond Mr. Amar Singh presumably acting at the Congress Party luminaries’ behest based on the real benefit to UPA in Confidence Vote survival on July 22, 2008 would exemplify the judiciary power withstanding political pressure in the republic of India.
Accordingly, Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh, Congress Party Leader Sonia Gandhi, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi (reportedly for active participation in alluring MP’s from opposition with Cash) is a serious engagement for a national political party and warrants necessary attention from the highest court on land.
Bofors Scandal – Mr. Ottavio Quattrocchi, Italian businessman and a close ally of Congress Party leader Sonia Gandhi and the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi accused as the broker in India’s one of the largest scandal acquitted without trial through political influence over CBI.
CBI obliging the Congress leader’s instructions withdrew Mr. Ottavio Quattrocchi’s name from the wanted list and further appealed to Interpol to withdraw the 12 year old red flag against Mr. Quattrocchi
Delhi High Court discharged Mr. Quattrocchi from the case on March 4, 2011.
Mr. Ottavio Quattrocchi extradition was repeatedly mishandled with Indian government failure to obtain court order required for Mr. Quattrocchi’s arrest and the extradition case was lost with no appeal filed and the reason attributed to the delay in obtaining official English translation of the court order.
Reopening Bofors chapter would be instrumental in restoring justice across the political and socio-economic helm profiting from national resources at taxpayers’ cost with the trend continuing until now.
Concurrently, it is poignant to revisit the Bhopal disaster verdict seeking the Union Carbide CEO Warren M. Anderson’s extradition from the United States and review the indicted executive’s plea last year.
Mr. Anderson sought leniency on health grounds in 2010 claiming that the 91 years old diagnosed with terminal cancer had barely three months to live and in exchange for court appearance offered an apology via live video to Bhopal victims of national tragedy.
Accordingly in observance with the Indian tradition and court considerations on age and health factor, pragmatic approach in accepting Mr. Anderson’s apology admitting negligence in the biggest industrial catastrophe transpired at that time.
The victims families were requested to forgive Mr. Anderson upon his recognition and remorse for the Bhopal incident causing immense suffering to the survivors.
Mr. Warren Anderson was not vindicated from the horrendous industrial mishap and a year later in the absence of televised apology or ailments; the disingenuous submission from the accused necessitates extradition revival alongside individuals complicit in the crisis mismanagement.
Sadly, the widespread moral decay prioritizing personal gains despite collective damages precipitates crimes evolving into conflicts with no end in sight. The mistrust against governments largely emanates from abuse of power for self-interest.
Moral Science is mandatory in educational curriculum worldwide to cultivate the importance of ethical conduct in life. The art of deception, falsehood and betrayal promoting aggression inhibits courage imperative for honesty graduating into nobility.
Morality is the barometer indicating the character strength vital for life with peace and dignity.
Unfortunately, leaderships in politics, economics and other discipline concentrate on survival in the fiercely competitive conditions harboring acrimony than harmony to retain power or ownership for exclusive prosperity.
Actions or Karma is investment with positive and negative returns depending on the deeds with a stark reminder to refrain from recurring mistakes – in particular immoral behavior in obedience to the conscience providing moral guidance since birth until death.
Life is a learning experience teaching lessons to prevent the point of no return.
In light of prevalent violence and volatility, nations could institutionalize ethics and morality combined with transparency and accountability for both public and private sector.
Strong emphasis on patriotism, community service and humanitarian tasks would spread peace deterring constant turmoil across the globe.
Inspiring young and old to be caring and compassionate towards the needy and vulnerable lives would highly improve the general habitat.
Reverting to Indian political dynamic with corruption having macro impact on the society, the leaderships’ candid disclosure ranging from own financial status to economic policies, contracts and agreements could vastly contribute to better relations between the government and people.
Judiciary accelerating the relevant hearing on numerous corruptions extending preferential treatment to none irrespective of stature would enhance democratic values promising a bright and secure future.
India has the potential to be the beacon light in the twenty first century and eradicating corruption with strict adherence to laws is paramount to initiate sound democratic principles bound by ethics in the post independent era.
Good Luck! To citizens of India in recovering national wealth.
Peace to all!
Thank you.

http://youtu.be/wo-2pz5QySc http://youtu.be/zkKaKpHDFmg http://youtu.be/Qg88CknV1zYIndia – Jan Lokpal Bill (Anti-Corruption Law)
August 20, 2011
By Padmini Arhant
The standoff between civil society leader Shri Anna Hazare and Central government through State police concluded with the agreement on peaceful and non-violent assembly at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi.
Civil Society leader Shri Anna Hazare and team are expected to continue their peaceful rally on Ramlila ground, New Delhi.
Shri Anna Hazare has decided to fast during the 14 days public gathering allowed by law enforcement authority.
The overwhelming national response from all walks of life is indicative of the urgency to legislate Jan Lokpal bill liberating Indian society from systemic corruption.
Indian citizens have demonstrated extraordinary patriotism and unity towards the common goal for corruption affects the entire population promoting criminality among those at the epicenter.
With bribery and tax evasions rampant alongside kickbacks received from lucrative deals and contracts in both private and public sector,
The national treasury is drained leaving the middle class, lower income and the poor – the worst victims of the epidemic.
Society’s upper class exchange favors given the massive disclosed and undisclosed income from different sources not to mention ties with the political class and corporate dealings facilitating bribery as the standard business practice across the spectrum.
Furthermore bribery is also money laundering as the wealthy and business ventures convert black money into white through bribes.
Therefore Jan Lokpal bill would be more effective deterring the art of giving and receiving bribes in any manner i.e. cash or kind.
Political elections are well known for bribing voters with cash and other incentives basically buying votes with illegal means and counterfeit money supply as found in recent Tamil Nadu polls.
Such blatant abuse of power by the ruling and opposition political factions void democracy and must be addressed in the Jan Lokpal bill curbing anti-democratic strategies by political contenders in the state and national elections.
It is important for election committee to be A-political in order to act decisively against all political parties’ undemocratic methods adopted to win elections and debar candidates as well as parties in violation of democratic rules.
Corruption begins from the top bottom considering the political clout emboldens the lawmakers to be the lawbreakers trickling down to the basic service provider.
Civil Society momentum should be wisely used not only to fight against corruption but also two other ingrained social carcinogens – nepotism and cronyism that deprives nation from being represented on merit, commitment and integrity besides eliminating opportunity for the marginalized demography.
Youth movement is highly energized and rightfully so for they are the leaders in succession forced to bear the burden of the status quo.
The country with tremendous potential, innovative talent and intellectual ability is constricted in outperformance on the international domain largely due to prevalent corruption, nepotism and cronyism widespread in the system.
Political field in India is dominant with the affluent and celebrities from the entertainment industry seeking symbolic status to maintain prominence while the remaining majority suppresses their political ambitions due to open corruption culture demanding huge compromise on ethics.
With money power playing significant role in politics worldwide, the average citizen is bereft of genuine representation on issues concerning their daily struggle for existence.
The hesitation to discuss and approve Jan Lokpal bill in Parliament is the acknowledgment of politics preventing accountability despite national image tarnished by erupting scandals at state and national level hindering economic progress in the cross-sections of the society.
India’s GDP growth at 8.8% largely benefits the rich with over 80% of population barely sharing the prosperity evident in the glaring economic reality prompting overwhelming support for Shri Anna Hazare’s call to eradicate corruption.
Hoarding money in Swiss bank accounts apart from several unlawful involvements against national interest is not the reason for electing officials in a democracy.
It is poignant to highlight that Parliament members would not be able to execute their power without the electorate electing them to office.
Legislation is carried out in Parliament.
However, ignoring republic will on core national issue viz. corruption having crippled billion lives is a testimony to morality and ethics ominously abstained in politics.
Otherwise Jan Lokpal bill would have been passed honoring citizens’ quest for a corrupt free society.
The elitists’ hypocritical remarks against true patriot Shri Anna Hazare is yet another example of the expanding gulf between the privileged and disenfranchised in the growing socio-economic disparity.
As for the claim that Parliamentarians know better than people and civil society leadership – confirms supremacy reminiscent of pre-Independence India.
If Parliamentary power were so diligent then it would have reflected in the infra structure, improvement in the millions of lives living in abject poverty and led the world in environmental goals.
Furthermore it is asserted that Shri Anna Hazare followers are ignorant of the Jan Lokpal bill and simply contributing to extreme optimism without proper knowledge or understanding.
Again this misconception about the mass movement constituting statistics rather than comprehending substance is snobbery – the remnant of British Raj resurfacing for political gains denying freedom from corruption.
University students, Professionals and media familiar with Jan Lokpal bill content and the distinction from Government bill could undertake the task in explaining to civil society in layman terms for their information.
Then people could intensify pressure on the Government to pass the bill with no more procrastination.
Shri Anna Hazare is into 5th day of his fasting and Government’s reluctance through delay tactics signify the real intention to block Jan Lokpal bill at the detriment of civil society leader’s health creating unnecessary tension in the country.
Government Lokpal bill apart from many conflicting thoughts and preventions essentially provide impunity to political figures and judiciary with a buffer zone from corruption.
Shri Anna Haxare team request for CBI’s (Central Bureau of Investigation) anti-corruption wing to function as independent investigation unit requires massive public drive due to government reservations on Jan Lokpal legislation.
The clock is ticking for the Government and debates on avoiding instead of accepting the robust Jan Lokpal bill is a political maneuver having direct impact on the critical situation of Shri Anna Hazare’s indefinite fasting,
Not withstanding the ultimate political disaster awaiting the nay Sayers in the next elections.
Civil society must not give up their support to the extraordinary pledge by Shri Anna Hazare and team against corruption.
Please continue the peaceful and non-violent march until Jan Lokpal bill becomes the law of the land releasing the nation from the shackles of corruption, nepotism and cronyism.
It is crucial to step up citizens’ demand in expediting Jan Lokpal legislation and end Shri Anna Hazare’s fast.
Is there any honorable Parliament member willing to sacrifice their health for national cause?
Fasting for days to succeed in national mission benefitting all is Shri Anna Hazare’s exemplary dedication to the nation the leader has served throughout his life.
The nation salutes leaders like Shri Anna Hazare for the guidance to the powerful and powerless on righteous path by adhering to Gandhian principles in non-violent civil disobedience.
Mahatma Gandhi founded Congress Party and all other political factions are urged to pass the popular Jan Lokpal bill and peacefully resolve the ongoing people vs. government dispute.
Shri Anna Hazare terminating fast upon successful legislation is now dependent on the government and the opposition in both houses of Parliament.
Good Luck! To civil society, Shri Anna Hazare and team in the victory on anti-corruption law to recover and retain national wealth. It would be the cornerstone for people power in restoring democratic rule.
Jai Hind!
