Syria – Regime Change Target

Syria

Regime Change Target

Padmini Arhant

It’s time to leave Syria alone.

Syria, a sovereign nation is under persistent attack in the earlier and present decade.

United States administration and ally Israel relentless bombing and shelling of Syria since the so-called Arab Spring in 2010 aimed at regime change is reprehensible.

The provocative indulgence is the foundation for catastrophe facilitating terror havens and undesirable elements making life impossible for the native population in the country and region.

Libya is a classic example with lawlessness and political volatility as the state of affairs for the people left at the mercy of exploiters reaping their harvest.

Although there are many examples in this category, the recent one is Afghanistan with Taliban enabled to power and rule the embattled nation making life miserable for all and impossible for women.

Syrian population are subject to western manufactured terror, sanctions and hostility leaving generational impact on human suffering and misery.

Syrians are driven homeless in their homeland and forced into refugee status only to be denied access on or before arrival on the aggressors shores creating the worst humanitarian crisis since 2010 with no end in sight.

Meanwhile, the aggressors and violators adhering to old obsolete regime change concept reeking chaos and mayhem wherever possible are invariably absolved of responsibility and accountability.

The U.S and ally political aspiration imitating invasion of Iraq under false pretext proved disastrous for invaders i.e. United States and NATO as well as the invaded nation Iraq.

The invasion of Iraq unequivocally led to arrival of al-Qaeda in the middle east that was bereft of terror groups until then. The region ruled by regimes not without western approval or collusion remained in power over several decades upon submitting to western economic terms and conditions regardless of political situation across the region.

United States foreign policy customized to suit interests other than United States or citizens and for that matter the people of the targeted nations till date is timeless recipe for disaster.

The lofty endeavors costing United States taxpayers in billions and trillions thus far only delivered unrest, instability and violent outcome with emergence and manifestation of various terror outfits in the destinations unlike the propaganda on establishing democracy (?) with individual liberty.

United States as well as Israel constant intervention in Syria in 2010 and thereafter attracted other foreign intrusion such as Turkey, Iran, Lebanon, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia forcing Syria to rely on Russia that eventually produced Russian naval base in Syrian sea port city, Tartus.

The event is no different to Russian annexation of Crimea, the eastern Ukraine following then United States administration and EU launched coup in 2014 against Ukraine’s elected democratic government resulting in Ukraine status quo.

United States present administration by proxy engaged in resumption of regime change in Syria as a mission to finish unfinished task from 2010 – 2012 is by far the undemocratic illegal involvement in a foreign nation that would not be tolerated by United States in return.

The idea of meddling in foreign affairs to mess with the population, sovereignty, self-determination and territorial integrity that are regarded exclusive to United States and western states are somehow not recognized nor respected as relevant with others in the rest of the world.

United States democratic values are successively challenged during such foreign interventions with Syria until now not spared from unwanted unnecessary cataclysmic endurance.

The so-called Russian collusion turned out to be hoax in the taxpayers’ squandered investigations and Robert Mueller headed committee in the fact finding of 2016 U.S. Presidential election.

In comparison, the United States administration in 2010 authorized and convened events under the guise of Arab Spring and other format to topple governments in different parts of the world is a reality that apparently resumed in the current development in Syria.

Anything tried and tested yielding turbulence and turmoil is best abandoned providing opportunity for the victims i.e. the people in Syria and alike viz. Yemen etc. to heal and recover from foreign inflicted carnage as destiny.

Furthermore, the authoritarian style of governance is not necessarily unique to overt authoritarianism. The pattern is unfortunately prevalent in worst disguise in widely presented so-called democracy that are conveniently ignored in the western foreign policy.

The modern day democracy legacy is testament to destabilizing and removal of  people choice democratic governments world over with the trend continued as entitlement in the present time.

Finally, regime change and any modification to systems is entirely the sovereign right of the people barring any foreign determination and designation that are anything but democratic.

Syrian people alone possess the inalienable right to exercise election and rejection of government in their domain.

Syria like any other nation deserve peace and stability with long overdue relief from indefinite inhumane western economic sanctions crippling life deprived of normal existence.

In fact, the economic sanctions affect human living conditions with the population anger and frustration expressed towards the policy. The counterproductive strategy have increasingly favored those at the helm that are presumably the target in the misguided decisions.

Israel – War and Aggression over Peace

Padmini Arhant

Israel latest bombing of Syria and ongoing occupation with oppression and persecution of Palestinians is proved counterproductive.

The nuclear Israel claimed the only democratic state in the Middle East hopelessly relying on aggression and violence to exert political stance delivered nothing but tensions and hostility.

Citing historic events going back several thousands of years in relentless propaganda in justification of the present Israeli acrimony is futile. Furthermore no nation or society based on race, religion and any convenient denominations could impose malevolence over current population who are not responsible for the past humanitarian crimes against any particular sect or demography.

Unfortunately, the trend not unique to Israel alone.

As a matter of fact the position prevalent in the so-called world’s largest democracy Indian ruling government preaching peace but not practicing in reality is the irony. The grudge against specific segment i.e. muslims in India over centuries old Mughal invasion and aftermath serve ideological discriminatory agenda driven towards a majoritarian statehood.

Similarly Indian government foreign policy monetizing Russian invasion from cheap oil imports essentially boosting Russian carnage of Ukraine with thousands of lives violated while sporting peace badge is an insult to injury for the victims in the prolonged warfare.

Again the western Europe viz. Germany, Austria, Finland…prominently and eastern Europe EU member Hungary defiance in energy dependence on Russia economically finance Russia’s war on Ukraine.

The western Europe strategy ignore own security stake in the complex trade and military engagement with and against Russia at Ukraine’s expense. Notwithstanding the security volatility for the rest of  Europe.

The political catharsis expose self and vested interests in the make- believe public disposition.

Likewise Israel favoring Russian invasion of Ukraine rejecting Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky’s televised plea to Israeli Kenesseth mocked upon the reference the final solution the Nazis sought to enforce on the Jews paralleled to Russia’s ambitions for Ukraine.

Israel’s defense contrarily the offense foreign policy as major weapons supplier to war zones arming brutal regimes earlier in Sri Lanka in 2009 against unarmed Tamil civilians or the indefinite bloodshed in Yemen with United States and Israel as key military arsenal providers to Saudi Arabia and coalition extending the never ending Yemen turmoil are not mere defense trade involvement.

Israel funding, weaponizing and facilitating medical treatment to terror outfits with synonymous accusations on Iran and Turkey in the onslaught on Syria is anything but peace seeking democratic norm.

Syrians and the population in the middle east including Israelis in Israel are forced to endure militarized environment in the continuous bombing and shelling of the region.

Israel’s non-military yet direct human rights violation also brought to light in the sale and distribution of the controversial spyware Pegasus and alike to governments and desperate despots anywhere.

The cyber weapons procurement under the guise of espionage activities against terror groups widely deployed targeting civilians like journalists, authors and political critics bear evidence in the anti-humanitarian and anti-democratic values of the state of Israel and the so-called democratic patrons.

In the strange political dynamics, Israeli politics forging alliance with Arab political factions to gain political majority in Kenesseth somehow not pursued in Israeli – Palestinian peace process. The political will to mend ties and form coalition for position of power and authority not necessarily desired in the art of peace and freedom for all as basic human right.

The pragmatic approach to live and let others live in peace for collective progress and prosperity in the meager lifetime of all human beings is ominously missing in politics and policy-making fueling death and destruction as the only means of survival and dominance.

Such principle against conventional wisdom eye for an eye turning the world blind apparently not even a concern amongst those confusing mirage for oasis in the desert.

Reiterating earlier statement elaborated in Israel-Palestine Peace Treaty on this website, Israel’s peace, security and stability lies on recognition of Palestinian statehood with sovereignty and independence to Palestinians in the over seven decades of occupation and repression denying civil rights and dignified existence.

Upon peace-making with independent Palestine, Israel’s relation with neighbors especially Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq and others would normalize on the horizon.

Never too late to choose the path of peace and solidarity renouncing endless enmity and antipathy.

Israel and India Legacy

Israel and India Legacy

Padmini Arhant

Israel and India shared legacy.

Israel bears the sin of  Lord Jesus Christ crucifixion.

Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin assassinated by zionist for the former daring to forge peace with Palestinians at his political career sunset after having experienced destruction of lives on either side from violence.

Israel is declared a Jewish state.

On the other hand, Indian society indefinitely banished Lord Ram’s pregnant spouse Devi Sita to the forest in Ramayana.

In yet another epic Mahabharata, the female protagonist Queen Devi Draupati ridiculed and shamed until now by none other than the reprehensibly characterless corrupt criminal mob in Indian politics, entertainment and state diverse media.

yIndia’s freedom movement leader Mahatma Gandhi assassinated by Hindu zealot for calling on unity between Hindus and Muslims in British colonial divided India.

India at present treading on Israeli fundamentalist ideology positioned to transformation into Hindu Rashtra i.e. Hindu State like the Jewish State.

Unfortunately for both Israel and India, peace and sovereignty remain contentious with permanent insecurity as destiny

Furthermore, the foreign invasion and occupation is India’s fate since time immemorial predominantly because of traitors within India.

Unlike Afghanistan, a nation perpetually invaded by foreign powers only to be driven away on the beaten track by Afghans until today.

Taliban previously as Mujahideen fought against the occupier former Soviet Union and Afghan tribes earlier dethroned the British colonial power.

Every one of them chased from the territory with eventual collapse of the empire perhaps as the spell from Afghanistan on external intrusion.

All said and done, Taliban barring their radical ideology in the domestic front and treatment of women that are witnessed in the above mentioned states as well, the Talibans remain defiant in guarding their homeland from offshore intrusions.

A lesson India could learn from neighboring Afghanistan in defending own soil. The tooth and nail battle fought by Taliban against formidable foreign powers to reclaim sovereignty made possible by their determination to expel foreign colonization.

Such tenacity is a tough challenge for Indian politics considering rampant corruption, criminality and treason in Indian political mindset leaving India with open corridor for successive foreign incursion and dominance.

Pegasus Spyware Malware

November 6, 2021

++Pegasus Spyware Malware

Padmini Arhant

The anti-democratic violation of individual rights and privacy facilitated by spyware malware called Pegasus supposedly sold only to governments and according to the public data on this controversial spyware –

“Israel’s Private Company NSO GROUP’s Pegasus spyware is classified as a weapon by Israel and any export of the technology must be approved by the government. Annual revenues were around US$40 million in 2013 and $150 million in 2015. In June 2017, the company was put up for sale for $1 billion by Francisco Partners.”

Obviously, the NSOGroup behind Pegasus spyware has global clients evidenced in annual revenues reported in the public information above. Among them, the Indian government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah proudly claiming the effectiveness of Pegasus spyware to view anything and everything far away in the United States private citizens homes have confirmed the Pegasus spyware in their possession in public meetings and rallies recently, the comment meant as a threat and a matter of pride.

Nothing comes as a surprise with the political duo marking their career in Godhra violence in 2002 where innocent children, pregnant mothers, young men and women as well as the elderly were murdered and soon after not even sparing the judiciary member. The Mumbai High court judge presiding over the matter killed for non-cooperation in their favor. The horrific crimes against anyone regarded an obstacle in their never ending human rights violations from the state of Gujarat to India’s capital New Delhi is continued with political immunity and external support much to India’s detriment.

As for the Pegasus spyware, there was a raucous in Indian Parliament not long ago seeking the incumbent Indian government to come forward and clarify on the misuse of the Pegasus spyware. The Indian politics were keen on finding the details based on international report on the Pegasus spyware being used against numerous individuals in Indian political class including BJP governments’ ministers other than journalists and government critics causing an uproar in the Parliament session.

Furthermore, the Pegasus spyware is inarguably potent and classified a weapon by Israeli government with the condition that the technology could not be sold or exported without government approval.

That being the case, the incumbent Indian government in possession of the Pegasus spyware using the technology arbitrarily proves the state’s authoritarian style rejecting democratic and constitutional rules for personal and political interests.  The trend is the precursor in the subversion of democracy and should raise the alarm to 1.3 billion citizens already subject to free speech denial. Any pseudo criticism of government is actually nuanced against the government’s target in a far away land to absolve the corrupt governance of any wrongdoing and criminal engagements that are one too many in the system beyond salvation.

The interesting aspect in the entire saga is the Indian government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah not availing the technology against the nation’s real adversary in control of India’s territory – Beijing, China initially dominant in the Himalayan region Aksai Chin Kashmir and Siachen region.

China’s PLA occupation has now expanded into Ladakh, Sikkim and north eastern areas redefining line of control along the entire Indian borders on all sides is the tip of the iceberg. As a result, the Indian defense force especially the foot soldiers in the army are deployed over eighteen months in the harsh inhospitable Himalayan terrain in the elevation of 20,000 feet above sea level. There were loss of lives with several Indian defense personnel martyred in the hostile confrontation with China’s PLA forces along the line of control last year amid the pandemic. The situation could have been averted with government’s preemptive measures using intel and technology resources saving lives in the prolonged quagmire.

Yet another conflicting fact is the Pegasus technology not having been utilized to detect activities next door in the neighborhood – the Wuhan lab, Hubei Province in China, the source and incubator of the deadly corona virus SARS COV2 with India experiencing the deadliest blow in the second wave termed delta variant of the pandemic. The government’s lapse or lack of interest in the appropriate use of Pegasus spyware for relevant purpose and instead expending in perverse course to spy on private citizens and their personal life beckon explanation from the Indian authorities in possession of this spyware.

The Indian leaderships viz. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah owe explanation to pandemic victims – the families who have lost their loved ones and earning members to the virus and the inhabitants fearing China’s PLA occupation of Indian territories for failing to protect them in the most critical moments despite the government armed with the lethal technology such as Pegasus spyware.

The most intriguing and incontrovertible truth being PM Narendra Modi’s personal account in China’s social media chat Weibo well after China’s invasion of Indian territories and pandemic consuming lives in India in all fronts – health, economic and military wafare in the Himalayan region. These events reflect dereliction of duty shirking responsibility in addressing dire crises at home for the head of the nation with second largest population in the world. The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi prioritizing personal popularity and prominence in global social platforms is unfortunate and deeply disturbing for any democracy.

Whom are these leaderships serving – India and the citizens or the foreign adversaries waging bio warfare through deadly pathogen viz. SARS COV2 triggering COVID-19 and simultaneously invading Indian territories that are inconceivably seized with irreconcilable aggression?

Something to think about for all those state sponsored contingency in different capacity. The so-called comedian or news laundry to defend money laundry, many fringe elements in social media as well as main stream bulwarks bribed, bullied and coerced to defend the present Indian government and political class deliberate debacles designed to drown India to the point of no return.

Middle East Peace Plan 2020

February 7, 2020

Middle East Peace Plan 2020

Padmini Arhant

Middle East Peace Plan – Israel and United States presented the latest proposal as

Deal of the Century.

Review and Solutions.

The Middle East peace plan key points deviates from the path of peace and instead legitimize illegitimate occupation of Palestine and annexation of other territories by Israel following Israel’s six days aggression in 1967 and unlawful settlements in West Bank, Palestine until now.

Nonetheless, the peace plan with appropriate recommendations and solutions furnished for mutually reasonable and acceptable peace treaty.

Deal of the Century (DC) bullet points:

DC: Borders Israel will retain 20% of the West Bank and will lose a small amount of land in the Negev near the Gaza-Egypt border. The Palestinians will have a pathway to a state in the vast majority of territory in the West Bank, while Israel will maintain control of all borders.

Correction and Solution: West Bank is Palestinian territory with unlawful settlements against international laws attracting global dissent. Accordingly, the area to remain part of Palestine under Palestinian jurisdiction and authority. The settlers are to be provided an option to either return to destinations of their origin/choice or seek legal resident status subject to Palestinian authorities approval. Palestinians would have free access to their state in West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem. The Palestinians elected government would deploy their own security forces and personnel on their borders while Israel would maintain only Israel’s borders in recognition of Palestinian and neighbors sovereignty and territorial rights respectively.

DC: Jerusalem: The Palestinians will have a capital in east Jerusalem based on northern and eastern neighborhoods that are outside the Israeli security barrier – Kafr Akab, Abu Dis and half of Shuafat. Otherwise, United States President Donald Trump said Jerusalem will remain undivided as Israel’s capital.

Correction and Solution: Palestinians capital in East Jerusalem entailing all Palestinian neighborhoods and specifically Al aqsa mosque would be Palestinian territory. Any other suggestion on Jerusalem as undivided Israel’s capital is contentious for following reasons.

Israel’s claim on undivided Jerusalem regardless of the holy city’s relevance to other faiths Islam and  Christianity besides Judaism not excluding non-believers and other segments from across the region is over ambitious notwithstanding Israel’s militarization of Islam’s Al aqsa mosque, the second most revered place of worship and demolition of Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem proved counterproductive thus far.

DC: Settlements: Israel will retain the Jordan Valley and all Israeli settlements in the West Bank in the broadest definition possible, meaning not the municipal borders of each settlement but their security perimeters. This also includes 15 isolated settlements, which will be enclaves within an eventual Palestinian state. Within those settlements Israel will not be able to build for the next four years. The IDF will have access to the isolated settlements. For the settlement part of the plan to go into effect, Israel will have to take action to apply sovereignty to the settlements, which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he plans to do at the upcoming cabinet meeting on Sunday.

Correction and Solution: Jordan Valley and the northern Dead Sea representing more than 30% of West Bank with majority approximately 65,000 Palestinians compared to 11,000 Jewish settlers living there. Furthermore, the valley long been the significant land reserve for Palestinians would constitute Palestinian territory. All settlements within West Bank and in the region would be Palestinian state territory. Palestine would be governed by Palestinian elected government with the territories monitored and defended by Palestinian security personnel. All settlement activities before, now or in the near future in West Bank and other Palestinian territories qualified as encroachment would fall under Palestinian jurisdiction related to property and real estate laws in Palestinian land. The withdrawal of Israel Defense Force (IDF) from Palestinian Territories beginning with West Bank, East Jerusalem and near Gaza i.e. inside Palestine is critical for any peace process to be sincere, serious and above all genuine. The foreign government viz. Israeli authorities action on sovereignty on illegal settlements would be null and void.

DC: Security: Israel will be in control of security from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. The IDF will not have to leave the West Bank. No change to Israel’s approach to Judea and Samaria would be needed.

Correction and Solution: Reiterating above mentioned facts on recognition of sovereignty, territorial integrity and rights that are in adherence as international law in most parts of the world, similar situation would apply to Palestinian state and the state of Israel confined to own respective boundaries and borders which means Palestinian security forces would be responsible and in control of the West Bank and Palestinian territory and vice versa.

With respect to Judea and Samaria – Since the reference Judea and Samaria is Israeli government’s term for administrative control over occupied West Bank, the termination of foreign rule and influence on sovereign state i.e. Palestine would be natural and inherent part of the deal.

DC: Palestinian state: The plan does not include immediate recognition of a Palestinian state; rather, it expects a willingness on Israel’s part to create a pathway toward Palestinian statehood based on specific territory, which is about 70% of Judea and Samaria, including areas A and B and parts of Area C. The state will only come into existence in four years if the Palestinians accept the plan, if the Palestinian Authority stops paying terrorists and inciting terrorism and if Hamas and Islamic Jihad put down their weapons. In addition, the American plan calls on the Palestinians to give up corruption, respect human rights, freedom of religion and a free press, so that they don’t have a failed state. If those conditions are met, the US will recognize a Palestinian state and implement a massive economic plan to assist it.

Correction and Solution: The recognition of an independent Palestinian State barring foreign nations viz. Israel or any other state intrusion, interference in administrative governance, security and all other matter deemed internal and related to Palestinian population affairs and welfare would be instantaneously effective. The establishment of Palestinian statehood and self-determination rights with requirement on withdrawal of foreign viz. Israel’s occupation and deployment of troops as well as administrative authority in West Bank and other Palestinian Territories such as Gaza and East Jerusalem to commence immediately preventing any unnecessary delay and procrastination in this regard.

Once again, Palestinian territory elaborated with respect to all areas pertaining to West Bank i.e. Israeli government reference Judea and Samaria, East Jerusalem and Gaza would be returned in entirety conforming to meaningful and authentic peace accord.

Violence and terrorism to cease on all sides enabling youth and citizens in Palestine and Israel to co-exist in peace. Additionally, the peaceful outcome aimed at long overdue economic progress and development among Palestinians would promote unity and harmony between the two states otherwise wasting time and resources in politically motivated tensions and confrontation.

As for the American plan calling on the Palestinians to give up corruption, respect human rights, freedom of religion and a free press, so that they don’t have a failed state – this is a universal problem in varying proportions and prevalent more so in governments espousing fundamental values with utter disregard for constitution and democratic principles affecting the idea of democracy, individual freedom on religion, free speech and free press endangering normal existence that could lead to any nation’s failure. Not to mention corruption, a global epidemic in politics with widespread impact on integral systems in society.

The political consciousness and remedy to eliminate corruption is applicable without exception to all nations and governments in power as well as opposition for a corruption free system prioritizing transparency and accountability exempting none above law.

DC: Refugees: A limited number of Palestinian refugees and their descendants will be allowed into the Palestinian state. None will enter Israel.

Correction and Solution: This is a matter concerning Palestinian people and their independent nation granting them exclusive discretionary power to approach the humanitarian issue best suited to their economic and social conditions. Though Palestinian refugees and descendants having been forced to leave their native land exercising the right to return to Palestinian state would not be uncommon in semblance to Israel’s policy inviting Jewish citizens from anywhere to Israel.

DC: Triangle: The plan leaves open the possibility that Israel will swap the area known as the “Triangle” – consisting of Kafr Kara, Arara, Baka al-Gharbiya, Umm el-Fahm and more – into the future Palestinian state. According to the plan, “the Vision contemplates the possibility, subject to agreement of the parties, that the borders of Israel will be redrawn such that the Triangle Communities become part of the State of Palestine.”

Correction and Solution: Israel’s preparedness to swap areas known as the “Triangle” is welcome. The plan transforming the possibility to eventuality in the above enunciated manner is paramount. Once again the peace plan in the corrected format with eligible solutions is a great opportunity towards sustainable peace and security to both Israel and Palestine. Not only the citizens in Palestine and Israel deserve peace and stability, the regional experience is pertinent for global peace and security.

The political will on this historic peaceful resolution ending the prolonged Middle East conflict is the responsibility of political leaderships and society in Israel and Palestine demonstrating commitment to an independent sovereign Palestinian state alongside sovereign state of Israel forging normal relations benefitting in trade, cultural, education, technology, environment and more enhancing comprehensive gains.

Hopefully, rationality and wisdom would prevail in accepting the accord for long lasting peace, economic growth and prosperity desired by the citizens in Palestine and Israel.

The amended peace plan fruition could further benefit Israel in bringing the ongoing domestic political stalemate to conclusion.

Thank you.

United States Foreign Policy

January 6, 2020

United States Foreign Policy

Padmini Arhant

I begin with United States foreign policy in the new year 2020.

Who is behind United States foreign policy?

U.S. foreign policy is designed and delivered by organizations viz. Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission and think tanks such as Brookings Institution, The Heritage Foundation, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, CATO and CSIS…to name a few besides influential lobbyists like AIPAC (American Israeli Public Affairs Committee), Ivy league and other university faculty including Washington based agencies serving specific agenda, ideology and doctrine predominantly favoring core corporate and key allies’ economic interests and strategic dominance respectively in different regions worldwide.

These institutions and organizations are categorized as conservative, liberal and other positions in political thought process though invariably leaning towards hard line neo conservative aggressive policy in politics to benefit military industrial complex in the invasion, occupation and colonization of nations and neo liberalism in economic front to facilitate oligarchy market penetration and expansion in global arena.

How do these organizations and institutions implement foreign policy?

Their members are routinely appointed by democrat and republican administrations in key cabinet posts and sensitive roles such as Secretary of State, National Security Advisor, US ambassador to United Nations and defense ministry to enforce hawkish belligerent policy to retain status quo.

These organizations especially Council on Foreign Relations referred to as mothership in promoting U.S. foreign policy by former Presidential Candidate and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was by no means faux pas from someone having close ties with the organization as other prominent members in United States and international politics maintain not barring media hosts and diverse entities sharing common strategy.

Any government and leadership not towing the line to U.S. foreign policy are listed adversary and accordingly targeted with the most favorite western action i.e. economic sanctions stifling economic growth and development to the point of no return alongside the entertainment industry indulging in spoof, a parody of the tragedy experienced by victims – none other than the significant population enduring immense suffering and misery.

The entertainment industry by far is the chief and cheap propagandists for politics displaying callousness as comedy to appease political establishment and nefarious elements behind human plight adding insult to essence of artistic value, the standard entertainment world is expected to represent and conform with decency and ethics ominously missing in the quest for constant fame and publicity.

Alternatively, any nation or people resistance to U.S. foreign policy is met with violence through military intervention or terrorism having become the convenient source of aggression since September 11, 2001 and adopted with full authority in 2011 starting the Syrian warfare generating ISIS, ISIL, Daesh, al nusra and IS as they are referred to now.

United States legacy in international relations – the U.S. central intelligence agency (CIA) together with Britain’s MI6 and regionally Israel’s Mossad involved assassinations of top government heads and toppling people choice democratic leaderships through those nations’ political and military coup d’é·tat in covert operation up until the beginning of the new millennium transformed into direct overt engagement by United States State Department and the White House exercising extra judicial executions arbitrarily exploiting political immunity on all crimes against sovereign nations and humanity at large.

United States and Iran relations – Iran’s democratically elected popular leader Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh overthrown by United States CIA and Britain’s MI6 primarily for Iran’s oil resources led to tumultuous political upheavals holding Iranian population hostage to western diktat is a continuous trend.

From waging proxy war through former western ally Iraq’s then President Saddam Hussain against Iran for eight long years using U.S. supplied chemical weapons to Iraq at that time to prompting Iranian revolution preempting western backed monarchy of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi exit and Islamic cleric and leader Ayatollah Khomeini entry to and from western shores simultaneously is a memorable chapter in Iran’s political history.

The western interventionism unequivocally responsible for Iran’s nuclear program although Iran has demonstrated discipline and self-restrictions in containing nuclear capability verified and acknowledged by western authorized UN inspections and report thus far unlike western and other nuclear states record on nuclear proliferation and enhancement as an entitlement. United States response to nuclear treaty either with Russia or latest withdrawal from Iran’s nuclear deal under Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) are in clear violation of the agreement.

What does the west seek from Iran?

Having imposed draconian economic sanctions against Iranian citizens and subsequently on Iraq designating their once ally ex-President Saddam Hussein as dictator, the bone of contention for hawkish foreign policy stalwarts is inability to rein control over Iran’s political, economic and social structure while establishing permanent military base in Iraq and other parts of Middle East with main focus on Persian Gulf exacerbates situation in the region.

United States and Britain’s policy accommodate undemocratic regimes in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and their allies in the region providing artillery and logistic support to curb democratic movements until today with Yemen reduced to killing field depriving the poorest in this north African nation any chance of survival and hope in the absence of political stability.

United States together with western and middle east allies have caused tremendous deaths and destruction with the introduction of terrorism as the means to execute western foreign policy major goal viz. regime change wherever and whenever possible.

In the past decade, in the wake of so-called Arab Spring, United States along with coalition funded, trained and militarized al Qaeda forces relocating them from Pakistan, Afghanistan and north Africa to the middle east. The NATO ally Turkey and strategic partners Saudi Arabia along with Qatar, UAE, Kuwait and Jordan…contributed to terror infiltration and manifestation in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Libya, Egypt spilling across middle east.

Iran as a Shia majority in the midst arguably surrounded by volatility and contempt from within and outside the region. Israel as a potent nuclear state with United States, Britain and EU extended defense infrastructure perceive Iran as existential threat is an open secret. The other states Iraq, Syria and Lebanon identified in the Project for New American Century – mission from U.S. foreign policy architects for destabilization and eternal chaos confirmed in the aftermath of brutal Iraq war by former President George W. Bush proudly declaring the mission accomplishment in 2004.

Not surprisingly, nothing has changed in U.S. foreign policy regardless of administrations in power. The unjustifiable economic sanction intensified under then President Barack Obama administration resulting in innocent civilian casualties despite International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and regular UN inspections reporting on Iran’s commitment to nuclear non-proliferation.

The western stance on economic sanctions eased under JCPOA was more a face saver on the western policy under the pretext of binding Iran on nuclear pact. As mentioned above, according to various agencies and organizations monitoring Iran’s nuclear activity, Iran never exceeded threshold in uranium enrichment and always allowed independent and western authorized agencies for inspection of facilities verifying Iran’s non-nuclear status.

Under these circumstances, prolonging illegitimate economic sanctions and trade embargo limiting Iran’s oil trade to neutral trade partners globally was an extreme measure from the United States with little or no regard for any international laws.

Not to mention lack of fairness on ethical and humanitarian ground as these actions inflict pain and agony on average citizens in any country aimed at instigating political uprising against the government for regime change.

Again, as no western nation ever subject to any economic sanction or trade restrictions except for being on the other side imposing such decisions on non-western nations until now, the harsh reality is hard to be recognized for those not affected in the tradition to cripple economy and punish population with starvation, poverty and disease.

Iranian citizens and entire Middle East region deserve peace, political stability and long overdue economic growth and development denied with western policy on economic sanctions, terror sponsorship and persistent influence to configure political landscape against citizens interest and welfare leaving them at the mercy of merciless policy and stagnant environment.

It’s time to relent to peace and foster better relations with all nations barring preferences and prejudice to benefit mankind as collective progress is the premise for sustainable prosperity.

Thank you.

United States – Neocons Obsession with Warfare

May 14, 2019

United States – Neocons Obsession with Warfare

Padmini Arhant

The topic will focus on neocons obsession with warfare through provocation, economic sanctions and wanton aggression.

There is an immediate requirement for United States administration to rein in unnecessary skirmishes and loose talks causing tensions in the ever volatile middle east. United States at Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Israel’s behest initiating confrontational engagement against Iran is counterproductive.

President Donald Trump heeding hawkish club’s ill-advice within administration is cavalier approach without contemplation on adverse consequences of such attempts hurting United States economy and importantly thousands of young men and women forced into harm’s way.

Neocons strategy to begin war in every administration regardless of right or left in the White House is the norm considering the masterminds and architects behind the devastating policy inflicting thousands of casualties and ruining millions of lives are never held accountable.

Any unwarranted attacks or combative measures would have grave global economic repercussions with oil productions and worldwide demand triggering proxy inflation to benefit selective few while the rest of the world struggle to survive the energy chaos and economic challenges expected to follow mendacious cause.

Not to mention the rapid oil price escalation exacerbating ordinary citizens lives and livelihoods in the United States and worldwide.

United States National Security Advisor John Bolton resignation is in order as neocon strategist ever remaining on collision track against nations viz. Iran and Venezuela – the two oil producers posing no threats whatsoever to United States and so-called allies, people and interests unlike the other way around.

John Bolton and the kind endanger international security and economic development.

The world deserves economic progress benefitting entire humanity in contrast to status quo.

The obsolete concept and neocon ideology waging war for profitability is best laid to rest as that has evidently contributed massive national debt to a tune of $22 Trillion with Federal deficits expected to average $1.2 trillion, or 4.4 percent of gross domestic product far higher than the average over the past 50 years burdened on every man, woman and child in the United States is certainly unwelcome with inevitable backlash in the national election in 2020.

President Donald Trump adopting constructive course such as peaceful dialogue, mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity combined with humanitarian care for the people subject to unlawful, unilateral economic sanctions in Iran, Venezuela, Syria, North Korea, Cuba…and elsewhere would be wise and demonstrate United States commitment to global peace and economic prospects.

The article will be updated based on maturity of the current situation.

Iran – Trump Administration Unilateralism and Repercussions

Iran – Trump Administration Unilateralism and Repercussions

Padmini Arhant

President Donald Trump latest decision to end waiver on oil imports from Iran targeting United States allies and key trade partners in South, South East and West Asia is a cavalier approach with serious economic, political and strategic ramifications that are counterproductive

President Donald Trump withdrawal from Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the agreement reached between P5+1 and Iran with mutual understanding, commitment and stipulations binding on all sides was a breach of accord casting a shadow on United States credibility and trustworthiness on international pact.

The U.S. incumbent administration tunnel vision in this regard against Iran at Israel, Saudi Arabia and UAE behest is ill-conceived and impulsive action with no concern for immediate repercussions on oil markets and global economy.

Not to mention the potential impact on United States economy possibly and unnecessarily thrust into recession due to inevitable hike in crude prices already in effect hurting end consumers and businesses alike.

The contagion effects then triggering Federal Reserve interest rates adjustment to control inflation, high costs borrowing resulting in growth stagnation in return producing unemployment and poor consumer spending eventually affecting the economy at large.

While these rapid developments cause tremendous stress on the economy, the consequences on macro management could be unsustainable.

United States with a budget deficit of $1.1 Trillion burdened on U.S. taxpayers expecting Petro dollars from Saudi Arabia and partners through arms deals is myopic and capricious in the effort to reconfigure geopolitical landscape and dominance in the Middle East.

United States administration together with allies engaged in contentious economic warfare against Iran through isolation is self-inflicting damage for the former besides the move creating economic challenges for trade allies in South and South East Asia.

United States policy towards the two crude oil producers – Iran and Venezuela aimed at regime change i.e. removal of governments essentially punishing the respective population through economic sanctions subjecting children, women, men, sick and elderly to inhumane conditions and poverty is worthy of condemnation.

Notwithstanding the criterion generating economic woes worldwide considering the rise in oil prices pervasive influence on goods and services with food imports in particular hit in the short and long run.

The wanton strategy to suit oligarchy and hegemonic goals would not prevail in the renewed contemporary environment rejecting unilateralism confined to obsolete and negative outcome.

Besides, Iran in compliance with JCPOA per IAEA verification in this context is within rights to exercise necessary measures to alleviate problems confronting the Islamic Republic.

Iran’s preparedness to block Strait of Hormuz would only exacerbate the crisis in seaborne oil supply dragging the containable issue into tankers war given the significance of this passage facilitating transportation from the Persian Gulf to global destinations.

There is much to lose than profit from the recent proposal to end waivers to nations importing crude oil from Iran.

The sanctions and radical positions against Iran and Venezuela exclusively to serve United States and certain so-called allies is to be reversed in global interests and importantly averting economic calamity drastically affecting the source and others at best laid to rest.

Thank you.

Israel – Golan Heights Proclamation is illegal and illegitimate

April 3, 2019

Israel – Golan Heights Proclamation is Illegal and Illegitimate

Padmini Arhant

United States administration led by President Donald Trump’s yet another gaffe on Israel’s behalf in declaring Syria’s Golan Heights as Israel’s territory is illegal and illegitimate.

Israel having forcefully seized and occupied the Syrian plateau – Golan Heights during the Six-day warfare in 1967 in the Middle East ever remains violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Israel’s provocative incursion in 1967 aimed at unlawful invasion and occupation of foreign land that included the long disputed Palestine depriving Palestinians the right to statehood over seven decades until now isolate Israel’s aggressive policy.

Israel exerting authority on foreign nations’ territories along the borders with the state of Israel has attracted international condemnations thus far.

Israel’s misuse of close relations with United States, delegated as proxy at the defunct UNSC to veto any resolutions on Israel’s never ending territorial annexations whether they are related to globally denounced settlements expansion in Palestine’s West Bank or blockade on Gaza trade and survival means depriving the population the right to exist in their meager land has severely damaged Israel’s credibility as a reliable peace partner in the region.

Israel’s involvement in Syrian warfare as key coalition force along with United States and allies in aiding and abetting terror networks infiltration in Syria is predominantly responsible for immense casualties and humanitarian crisis posing a major challenge for western world in dealing with refugee problems at their shores with no relief for the victims affected in the eight years old United States and allies sponsored terror onslaught against Syria.

United States military aim to withdraw from Syria is similar to that of Afghanistan floated in the past decade with no sign of such event coming into fruition. Though President Donald Trump stated back in December 2018 the administration’s position to withdraw troops from both Syria and Afghanistan by April 2019, the internal and external forces reservations appears to obstruct White House plans in this regard leaving President Donald Trump’s commitment to United States tax payers funding the prolonged military presence in Syria, Afghanistan and elsewhere a mere rhetoric missing in fulfillment.

The military ventures in Syria and Afghanistan not barring Iraq since 2001 and continuing until today has drained United States economy at taxpayers expense that could have been utilized in addressing domestic requirements ranging from infrastructure to healthcare, education, scientific research and innovations besides invigorating job growth that are still well under electorate expectations.

United States tax payers dollars wasted in justifying the unjustifiable armed conflict through terror factions in Syria or for that matter against Pakistan’s ISI backed Taliban and fringe terror outfits in Afghanistan is a profound miscalculation and erroneous decision in the so-called war on terror resulting in deaths and destruction of lives denying these states the sovereign right to political stability and peaceful existence to focus on desperately needed economic development.

As for President Donald Trump’s unilateral agreement with Israel on the recent declaration of Syria’s Golan Heights and earlier the controversial gesture relocating United States embassy from Israel’s State capital Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in concurrence to Israel’s territorial extensions again much to international disapproval is unfortunate for such partisanship on partitions of foreign land is unacceptable and revokes any renewed entitlement in that respect.

Golan Heights is indisputably the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic regardless of constant maneuvering and reconfiguration of geopolitical landscape in that region i.e. Western Asia or the Middle East.

Likewise, reiterating previous stance on the issue of Jerusalem, the Holy City is symbolically and substantively the native domain shared among the entire population of diverse faiths and secular demography comprising not only Jews but also Arabs and muslims of different denominations within Islam as well as Christians and other indigenous, migrants and several groups domiciled in the ancient city.

Jerusalem belongs to all citizens and residents representing Israel, Palestine and other ethnic descent in that society unlike the unique disposition of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu heading the incumbent government facing tough election in the immediate future.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confronted with multiple corruption charges and massive dissatisfaction amongst Israeli electorate on domestic front adopting strategy to deflect public attention from local economic woes to foreign affairs reveals the leadership’s concern over the nearing electoral outcome.

As for United States, President Donald Trump’s peace doctrine witnessed with North Korea is welcoming and an appropriate measure easing tensions in Korean Peninsula. However, the policy maintained across the spectrum in other parts of the world without wavering and altering to suit allies unreasonable aspirations would provide credence to White House pledge to global peace and security.

The citizens in war torn Syria, Afghanistan and other regions deserve permanent peace and opportunity to rebuild their nations without having to deal with consistent threat and irrational claims on their territory by neighbors near and far.

Thank you.

Syria – U.S. Military Forces Complete Withdrawal

Syria – U.S. Military Forces Complete Withdrawal

Padmini Arhant

United States latest decision for complete withdrawal of military forces from Syria is welcome and long overdue.

ISIS was a creation through foreign intervention comprising United States, western allies and partners in the Middie East. The wanton crisis generated humungous problems for the sources behind this operation and of course the victims as well in a manner expected with any illegal invasion and occupation of sovereign nations in the world.

American tax dollars were generously wasted as they are in several war zones and aggression experienced in the past and witnessed at present.

The perception whether ISIS was defeated or still needs to be contained will always linger without acknowledgment on the fundamentals of ISIS origin, survival and continuous decimation of a small nation Syria and neighboring Iraq forced to bear the brunt of relentless strikes and use of artillery.

Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Afghanistan…are experimental grounds to test newly manufactured weapons potency under the guise of ISIS, Taliban and al Qaeda along with offshoots and fringe terror networks in these regions. Not to mention draining U.S. national treasury at taxpayers expense.

ISIS or for that matter any terror factions, militants, rebel forces anywhere stand no chance of emergence let alone sustainability in the absence of resources viz. weapons cache, funding and training provided by the same forces positioned as challengers in the bizarre confrontation.

In other words, you create an enemy with your support facilitating all means to them especially arms and ammunitions reaching them at ease besides financial aid to terror operatives combined with western intelligence training them to engage in indefinite warfare.

The humanitarian and economic liability under these conditions are beyond recovery. Needless to say the loss of innocent lives from substantial casualties and infrastructure damages inflicted on the nation, wiping rich civilizations never match the efforts to recuperate from permanent carnage.

Nonetheless, better late than never principle serve wisely in averting further disasters as learning lessons in life is preliminary step in avoiding repeat mistakes with no hope of turning point.

Not only Syria, the adjacent Iraq, Yemen and not too far away Afghanistan awaits similar decision to terminate military assaults and gross violence.

The only way to resolution on any disputes and disagreements is civil engagement premised on peaceful dialogue, diplomacy and mutually conducive environment building trust and integrity for successful outcome.

Thank you.
