Arab League Calls for No-Fly Zone in Libya

March 14, 2011

By Padmini Arhant

The Arab League at the meeting in Cairo on March 12, 2011 unequivocally called for a No-Fly Zone in Libya.

Libyan massacre in Ras Lanuf and Al Zawiya in the absence of No-Fly Zone propelled the aerial bombardment displaying the cowardly act against humanity.

The brutality unleashed on the unarmed civilians is deplorable and regaining the oil fields after a blood bath indicative of atrocity seeing no boundaries towards own people.

Since time immemorial not sparing the Biblical period betrayal is common among the weak withering within due to lack of control over negative vices such as greed and hubris offering a false sense of invincibility eventually causing the downfall.

It is well known that the imperialists gained entry and established rule through traitors of the colonies. Without treason it would have been a challenge for the colonial powers to rein control, amass wealth and dominate the region.

Furthermore the betrayers were always the first to be eliminated by the colonial rulers soon after achieving the goals on the notion – Those who violate national trust confirm their pledge of self-allegiance.

Muammar Gaddafi is no exception to the norm evident in the pattern with his compliance to renounce nuclear ambition including settlement on Lockerbie bombing in exchange for the assassin Al Megrahi release while slaughtering Libyan population in response to their pro-democracy uprising.

Repossessing territories through terror might be regarded a remarkable victory nonetheless ignoring day of reckoning in process is the classic syndrome of tyrannical powers when in denial of the imminent tailspin.

It is essential to pose the following questions to the leaders of the free world.

Is the contemporary world truly a ‘free world’ when innocent men, women and children are denied freedom and their plea for ‘No Fly Zone’ against merciless air attacks slighted based on the prioritization of strategic interest?

The remark that ‘No Fly Zone is no video game’ given the drone attacks in semblance with a video game adventure resulting in many civilian casualties in Pakistan and Yemen signify the usual hypocrisy taking precedence over the genuine struggle for democracy.

Is the blood shed by the civilians in Libya, Bahrain, Yemen, and Algeria any different from the loved ones of those in power?

Inaction to injustice is an explicit endorsement of genocide in Libya with the repressive regime facilitated to use massive firepower supplied by the factions determined to suppress democracy for economic gains and political dominance.

Hence Muammar Gaddafi and allies are warned against any further advance towards Benghazi and other parts of Eastern Libya.

Every single bullet faced by the martyred souls in Libya would not be in vain and pro-Gaddafi forces defiance regardless of stature will expedite the inevitable apocalypse.

Muammar Gaddafi and clan annihilation of life in Libya must end immediately as the devastation is in store for each and every perpetrator with their hands stained in blood cannot possibly govern Libya.

If killings take place from the air and ground assaults then it would be dealt with appropriately.

Muammar Gaddafi madness must cease and failure to do so would be inviting cataclysmic events upon self and associates.

History is witness to the rise and rapid decline of power mongers relying on violence to prolong oppression.

The world organization and any ‘democratic’ nation recognizing the illegitimate government under Muammar Gaddafi seizing authority after slaying thousands of civilians predominantly with aerial bombings would raise credibility issue beneath rejection of people power.

Such extraordinary and bizarre defacto relation with ruthless dictatorship while denying sovereignty to people led opposition in Benghazi would categorically define the nature of the respective political representation.

Meanwhile the Libyan revolution must not lose hope in the battle for political freedom despite the recent developments as Muammar Gaddafi as well as every overt and covert agents’ doomsday is near and about to unfold ending the repressive era.

Arab league decision on ‘No Fly Zone’ and France acknowledgment of Libyan opposition in Benghazi is honorable and praiseworthy.

However exemplifying political position through delivery in Libyan citizens’ favor would enormously benefit the liberation cause.

Therefore the international community is requested to come forward and assist the civilians in liberating Libya from the dictatorial regime by implementing ‘No Fly Zone’ and apprehending Muammar Gaddafi along with entire family on war crimes.

Free world would be realistic upon every nation on earth is ‘free’ from bondage and political repression. The global society bears the burden to this effect.

Please demonstrate your commitment to humanitarian plight and provide the necessary support to the revolution in Libya and throughout the world.

Procrastination in issuing arrest warrant against Muammar Gaddafi and operators means loss of precious lives and poignantly there is no guarantee that Gaddafi would refrain from invasion using similar tactics in the Middle East especially with the status as the global threat to humanity.

Complacency bolsters unlawful quest to cross borders and Muammar Gaddafi would be inclined to experiment the possible incursion.

The wise proactive measure is to extinguish the fire before it engulfs the region.

Delay in containing Muammar Gaddafi and loyalists’ momentum is the direct approval of aerial aggression destroying life at free will.

Libyan people deserve to live their life with respect, dignity and above all political independence devoid of tyranny.

To the courageous patriots in Libya – Do not relent for you will prevail in realizing your dreams.

With sincere condolences to the grieving families of the slain victims – the message is to capture and terminate Muammar Gaddafi rule on Libyan soil.

Best Wishes to the brave revolutionaries for a new beginning with democracy governed by the people.

Thank you.

Nuclear Reactor Leakage in Fukushima Power Plant

March 12, 2011

By Padmini Arhant

Japan declared nuclear emergency upon one of the five nuclear reactors explosion in the Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPCO) operated power plant in Fukushima about 240 Km or 150 miles north of Tokyo.

It is a matter of grave concern considering the radiation leakage impact with news report on three citizens having been exposed despite the evacuation from the area in close proximity.

Nuclear energy being vigorously pursued regardless of safety issues poses a major threat to humanity.

Besides the civil nuclear program inevitably leading to nuclear arsenal status is predominantly responsible for the nuclear arms race not to mention the rhetoric on global warfare to deter one nation while entering into agreement with others thereby promoting defiance in the contentious nuclear armament.

Even with Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START), Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT), Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and yet to be implemented Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty (FMCT) the radioactive material storage and disposal arrangements or the lack thereof endanger life on the planet.

On FMCT – the UN General Assembly passed resolution (48/75L) in December 1993 for a comprehensive ban on fissile material production along side the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) monitoring and verification.

Then the Conference on Disarmament (CD) in March 1995 enacted the UN General Assembly resolution (48/75L) and agreed to mandate cut-off treaty negotiations through Ad Hoc Committee.

Subsequently in May 1995, the Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT) during review meeting had called to expedite FMCT given the international support in this regard.

However, the Conference on Disarmament (CD) unable to act without general consensus on FMCT has been forced to retreat due to the impediment in combining FMCT with other nuclear disarmament issues contributing to the status quo.

Further in 1998 – apart from the CD reaction to India and Pakistan nuclear testing, the progress in the FMCT measure effectively taking stock of nuclear production to non-proliferation is hindered by the nuclear powers’ double standards creating a hierarchy detrimental to disarmament efforts.

Previously Chernobyl and now Fukushima nuclear blast is a grim reminder to accept the facts on the serious ramifications of nuclear site management when subject to unpredictable catastrophic events. It can no longer be dismissed as sporadic occurrence especially with the generational ill effects evident in the health and environmental degradation.

It is time for global commitment towards complete nuclear disarmament without exception to protect life and maintain planet sustenance increasingly under attack on land, air and water.

Thus far the nuclear industry, coal mining and oil companies have successfully led the continuation of environmental abuse under the pretext of high energy demand suppressing the alternative sources like solar, wind and hydro power emergence in the mainstream utility supply presently unaffordable with unreasonable constraints such as ten year contract in addition to government rebates benefitting the solar companies than the average consumer.

Exorbitant profit margin takes precedence in the free market lacking competition to curb the essential commodity price experienced in the energy sector.

Shifting focus on Japan’s nuclear contamination – the emergency stop-gap on the Fukushima power plant reactor has not effectively addressed the damage from the devastating earthquake and tsunami leaving the residents vulnerable to potential health problems.

The world has an opportunity to abandon policies proved cataclysmic to life on earth and instead adopt a rational approach in the energy consumption arguably instrumental in the contemporary wars notwithstanding complacency to brutality resulting in human annihilation in Libya and oil rich nations confronting political uprising.

Japan is faced with a huge humanitarian crisis deserving universal empathy and formidable action at the nuclear front and planet preservation.

International community could set the FMCT in motion and conscientiously engage in nuclear disarmament to honor life and the humanity’s only habitat.

Keeping the worst affected citizens in the northeastern region of Sendai in the Miyagi Prefecture in thoughts and prayers – wishing the people of Japan renewed strength to rise again like the glorious Sun.

Thank you.

Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan

March 11, 2011

By Padmini Arhant

Heartfelt sympathy to the citizens in Japan and the nations along the Pacific rim on natural disaster alert.

Japan is hit by massive earthquake with 8.9 magnitude on the Richter scale triggering a 7.3 meter i.e. nearly 24 Ft high tsunami in the North Eastern region.

The devastation from the ferocious waves hitting the northern shores of Japan is overwhelming and the images with every possible material objects being swept away in the extreme natural calamity pose tremendous challenge to the rescue operators.

Heavily electronic and automaton oriented infrastructure, communications notwithstanding the transportation system are affected during such catastrophe.

Nuclear power plants shut down in a carefully calibrated manner with the concern on one particular reactor being monitored for temperature setting is a relief and avoiding further loss of life in the dangerous environment could ease the burden on the coordinated relief efforts.

The international pledge to support Japan would expedite restoration and definitively save lives.

People stranded in their domain particularly those entrapped in the rubbles need immediate assistance for most casualties rise from the inability to survive when victims lay buried under the collapsed building structures.

Japan is well known for being impressively organized to minimize harm and injury to life.

Nonetheless the phenomenal wrath of Mother Nature as witnessed in this horrific event would consume substantial resources to contain the aftermath damages poignantly requiring patience and perseverance especially throughout the search for the loved ones.

Although economic status and logistic sophistication combined with well preparedness all contribute to positive outcome in the humanitarian crisis, the horrendous effects from earth shattering breaks down barriers in the excruciating battle to salvage life.

Japanese government under Prime Minister Naoto Kan along with cabinet and the people of Japan are reached to extend the sincere condolences on the human tragedies with prayers to heal the mourning and wounded for a renewed beginning.

Wishing hope and strength for a speedy recovery to the people of Japan – the land of the rising Sun.

Thank you.

Egypt Assistance to Libyan Revolution

March 9, 2011

By Padmini Arhant

Considering the reluctance to implement ‘No Fly Zone’ guaranteed to save lives evidenced in U.S. and NATO alignment in Bosnia, Kosovo…the aerial attacks by Muammar Gaddafi needs to be curbed immediately.

Egypt and Tunisia being the neighbors and Islamic nations are requested to come to Libyan revolution rescue in providing logistic support and issue a stern warning to Libya against air attacks.

The direct plea to the Supreme Council for armed forces in Egypt is to send a message to Libyan regime to ceasefire against innocent civilians allowing free access for humanitarian aid especially medical assistance to the wounded and dying citizens.

Egypt as a sovereign nation has the capability in terms of air power to deter Gaddafi helicopters and bomber planes currently raiding the skies in Western Libya.

On moral grounds and humanitarian operation – The Egyptian Air Force, or EAF (Arabic: القوات الجوية المصرية‎, Al-Qūwāt al-Gawwīyä al-Miṣrīyä) headed by Air Marshal Reda Mahmoud Hafez Mohamed is urged in the name of Almighty God Allah (Arabic: وهناك vaste كي ) and Prophet Mohammed (May Peace be Upon Him) (والنبي محمد (عليه السلام) to monitor the air space and relieve the victims in the revolution.

It is important for every Muslim to lay down their arms against fellow citizens whether in Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Yemen, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, Jordan, Palestinian Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Any further onslaught against the advancing revolution by pro-Gaddafi elements would have to deal with the wrath of the natural phenomenon.

The defiance has crossed the limit in massacre declining to heed to the Libyan citizens’ call to flee or face the consequences like the dictators throughout history.

Those involved in the overt and covert facilitation of genocide would meet similar fate for none can escape the judgment in the conscientious and deliberate crimes against humanity.

Libyan people having been oppressed for more than four decades are now annihilated in worldview and the brutality is emboldened due to lack of response in implementing the ‘No Fly Zone’ – creating the reality of passive endorsement to the mass murder.

It is essential to highlight the misinterpretation of Libyans request to ‘No Fly Zone.’

The past record reveals the ‘No Fly Zone’ swiftly introduced against Iraq and previously in Kuwait.

Arguably the procrastination on Libyan crisis could not be justified when compared with the bellicose statements accompanied by blatant nuclear threat in reaction to Iran’s uranium enrichment.

The convoluted theory on arming the anti-Gaddafi forces is a convenient position ignoring the actual demand to disarm the belligerent Gaddafi government rather than generating confusion about ammunition supply to revolutionaries, which has been categorically rejected, based on the peaceful and non-violence uprising to defeat the ruthless autocratic rule.

Besides the pro-democracy movement clearly not interested in the blood bath unlike the global empire backed successor Saif al-Islam assertion now transformed into aggression on the ground through cowardly air attacks.

Hence the Egyptian authority regardless of $1.3 billion U.S. military aid is presented with an opportunity to display their loyalty to the Egyptian people at home and rise to the occasion in protecting the Libyan population comprising Muslim brothers and sisters mercilessly targeted under the influence of power mongers.

Both Libyan and Egyptian army refusal to strike unarmed or poorly equipped citizens is the honorable act in the morally corrupt battle to prolong oppression.

Furthermore extending desperately required security against air and ground assaults would fulfill their oath to defend the weak against the tyrannical power.

The mighty and the maniacal too have to go down the mortality lane for none are exempt in the imminent departure from the planet.

Any assumption of vain invincibility becoming immortality is being delusional expediting the inevitable ending of the repressive era.

Once again every Muslim and non-Muslim Gaddafi loyalists are sought in the name of the merciful Almighty God (تعالى الله رحيما) to grant you courage in defecting to the revolution side and bring down the ruler behind the monstrosity unleashed since the initial peaceful protest.

Libyan revolution – With justice on your side you will prevail over violence.

Good Luck and Best Wishes for a great new beginning on the horizon.

Thank you.

International Women’s Day Centennial Celebration

March 8, 2011

By Padmini Arhant

Today – On March 8, 2011 the international community celebrates the 100th anniversary of Women’s Day.

It would be poignant to recognize and honor women’s role in every aspect of life.

Life formation to functionality is facilitated by the equal gender ratio. Feminine grace combined with intellect and nurturing quality significantly enhances the beauty of evolutionary process.

Women’s contribution since life on earth has been instrumental in humanitarian progress.

Religion, education, politics, military, economics, trade and commerce, science and technology, space exploration, archaeology, spirituality, arts and humanities…to the most important responsibility being a homemaker define the character and strength of womanhood.

Rising to prominence and making history in various capacity appropriately adorns the female essence throughout human civilization.

Despite the magnificent attributes the multi-talented women are yet to be acknowledged with equal social status in certain parts of the world.

Customs and traditions have held back communities in these regions depriving them from the benefits of women empowerment.

Young girls and women are socially stigmatized and subject to atrocities in the new millennium with many of them denied basic education leading to abject poverty and life-long dependency in the society.

Accomplishments without social equality are meaningless for it generates economic disparity defeating the sole purpose of national goals.

Although there are organizational efforts to promote basic human rights for women, the universal impact would confirm the milestones reached in advancing the women’s cause.

It is a challenge to transform the archaic mindset frozen in time declining the influence of modern era with women often enduring the negative effects to the society’s detriment.

Even in the twenty first century – the treatment of women and limited participation to restriction in politics witnessed in some political systems has undermined their ability to share powerful ideas with great potential for national and global gains.

Women’s performance in other areas is not always appreciated in the otherwise competitive workforce. For instance the mineworkers’ salary and benefits were unsuccessfully contested in the United States highest court.

Addressing distinctive anomalies could considerably elevate the conditions in the social environment with pervasive prospects for all.

The light at the end of the tunnel could be a reality rather than a perception provided the political will is exemplified in consolidated action yielding the desirable change.

Congratulations! On the Centennial Celebration of Women’s Day.

Thank you.

Libyan Revolution Commitment to Liberation

March 7, 2011

By Padmini Arhant

Despite Gaddafi backers’ aerial attacks and bombings the revolution is determined to pursue the path to liberation.

The pro-Gaddafi assault against innocent civilians is the trend since the uprising began on February 17, 2011.

Muammar Gaddafi and clan’s persistence to remain in power is challenged with the citizens’ resistance regardless of massive bloodshed in the brutal onslaught to prove defiance.

Although the dictatorship’s cowardly act has caused loss of lives, it cannot deter the repressive regime’s inevitable termination.

Libyan revolutionaries have displayed remarkable fortitude in standing up to the military might and artillery shelling intensified as the Gaddafi rule is decimated in eastern Libya while gaining momentum in the west even though the false propaganda staged to convince the forces behind authoritarianism that they are in control of the situation.

Thousand lies and deceptive tactics cannot stall the imminent demise of the oppressive power having wreaked havoc with no respect for life.

History is testimony to the crumbling empires and belligerence defeated by peace initially discarded as weak and vulnerable only to be discovered otherwise.

Libyan freedom fighters should march forward and escalate the demand for Muammar Gaddafi and associates to quit immediately or face the consequences of public trial in the crimes against humanity.

The loyalists and mercenaries share responsibility in the horrendous killings witnessed throughout the political unrest for their inhumane and immoral conduct.

Every Libyan joining the revolution to oust the autocratic governance would pose a formidable threat to the declining leadership debilitated from inside and externally relying on weaponry to quell dissent.

Nonetheless the brave revolution must maintain high spirits and continue to make progress for the perpetrators are destined to succumb to their violence and diabolical means in the unequivocal victory to people power.

It is utterly important to seize ammunitions from every possible location given the firepower used in the confrontation.

Meanwhile in Benghazi – the transitionary council headed by the former Justice Minister with ex-diplomats and envoys is a commendable preliminary step towards formal government establishment and the international recognition of the interim council would further expedite Muammar Gaddafi expulsion.

In the absence of ‘No Fly Zone’ implementation due to US, NATO and UNSC reluctance in executing the crucial measure – Gaddafi terror is heightened with mounting casualties not to mention the inaction emboldening the despotic leadership.

It is poignant to reminisce the post 9/11 action when the former President George W. Bush posed the question to the international community in seeking coalition.

“”Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.”

Somehow there appears to be no such urgency in the response to humanitarian crisis involving civilian massacre.

Besides the unusually prolonged deliberation at the sacrifice of civilian population is disturbing to say the least and justifies valid explanation in this regard.

The reasons provided thus far to coalesce multilateral consensus as a difficult task does not bode well considering the recent swift decisions on issues such as vetoes in the Jewish settlements or Iranian nuclear threat in the region.

As stated earlier discriminatory policies in political resolution would only discredit the powerful authorities status and ability to be a reliable source in the popular uprising for democratic rule.

Indeed a travesty for any democracy to choose to remain a silent spectator rather than coordinating efforts on the periphery with the victims targeted from air attacks.

Libyan pro-democracy movement is urged to continue the relentless march towards Tripoli and gallantly claim the political rights and individual liberty long denied by the dictatorial power.

Please remember that you drove the evil from eastern Libya and now you can do in the west ultimately conquering the capital, Tripoli.

Nothing can stop you from becoming democratic for the Dark Age is nearing end along with the representatives.

Good Luck! To fellow citizens in Libya for a phenomenal success towards republic rule.

Thank you.

Ivory Coast Political Stalemate

March 6, 2011

By Padmini Arhant

Yet another power battle is producing mass casualties and crippling the economy with restrictions imposed on cash flow by shutting down regional banks in the country.

This time it is in the West African nation, Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire) with the political crisis emanating from the unresolved November 2010 election results between President Laurent Gbagbo and the contestant Alassane Ouattara of the RDR (Rally of the Republicans) political party representing the Christian south and Muslim north respectively.

President Laurent Gbagbo refusal to acknowledge the reportedly 9 point margin victory by the opponent leader Alassane Ouattara – U.S. educated and former IMF & World Bank high ranking official currently under UN peacekeeping security near the capital Abidjan has erupted with army assaults against civilians, the usual victims in political strife.

It is important to assess the dispute in light of electoral outcome, Presidential terms in office and the recent actions that have led to massive bloodshed and human rights violation against women as well as other members in the society.

President Laurent Gbagbo has served since 2000 through self-extension and UNSC subsequent endorsement in 2006. The 2008 election was postponed to 2010.

Following the 2010 elections – the violence from both sides have claimed many innocent lives.

The incumbent President misuse of power utilizing the army and civil service officers has gained advantage over the opposition retaliation leading to the status quo.

Any leadership determined to exert authority through bad decisions at the population peril anywhere confirms the misplaced priority and betrayal much to national detriment.

President Gbagbo upon reflection would perhaps realize that prolonging the disagreement has contributed to civilian deaths and destruction to the economy not likely to be ignored by the nationals deeply affected in the quagmire.

Proceeding under such conditions would be counterproductive expediting the ruling government termination in office sharing the predecessor Robert Guéï fate that enabled the FPI (Ivorian Popular Front) rule and Gbagbo Presidency in 2000.

The opposition leader Alassane Ouattara proposal to form unity government is welcome and cooperation from various political factions is imperative to reflect the unanimous consensus considering the political turmoil ill effects on human lives and economic future.

Côte d’Ivoire has been through tremendous turbulence with political unrest.

The issue deserves a permanent solution made possible in the electoral mandate recognition and subsequent renunciation of power by President Laurent Gbagbo.

As for the army and civil coherence with President Gbagbo – the ground reality should awaken the loyalists to withdraw support in the gravely deteriorating political environment evolving into a potential genocide.

With respect to global powers’ contrasting position on similar matter such as:

Accepting Côte d’Ivoir electoral event with solid affirmation while rejecting Iraq and Afghanistan electorate choices notwithstanding the intervention in promoting Sudan secession against Ivory Coast unification poses a credibility factor due to inconsistency and selective gerrymandering.

Abandoning discriminatory policy in political resolutions would enhance trust and improve international relations vital for universal peace.

President Laurent Gbagbo resignation from power would provide the leader an opportunity to step down with dignity besides restoring political stability paramount to end the violence.

Power is powerful in the empowerment of powerless and not otherwise.

It is sincerely hoped that President Laurent Gbagbo would heed to the people preference via ballots on November 2010 and pursue a peaceful exit from the office of Presidency.

Allowing rationality to prevail in this regard would save many lives apart from letting the healing process to begin.

Wishing eternal peace and prosperity to Côte d’Ivoir citizens with a rapid conclusion to political stalemate.

Thank you.

UNHCR Seek Support on Refugee Crisis in Libya

March 4, 2011

By Padmini Arhant

As we all know that aerial bombing and ground assaults against unarmed civilians in Libya has produced mass casualties alongside refugee crisis with an estimated 180,000 people fleeing the country across the borders to Tunisia and Egypt.

United Nations High Commission on Refugees (UNHCR) is on the ground providing relief to the refugees and displaced population.

However considering the tragedy of greater magnitude, the international support is vital to expedite the humanitarian aid desperately required to save lives.

Visual images and victims’ personal accounts confirm the deteriorating situation with the escalating violence inflicted upon citizens both domestic and foreign nationals forced to leave in fear of being killed by the regime.

Although UNHCR is diligently engaged in the rescue effort, the worldwide response with a generous donation would be extremely helpful in meeting the basic requirements as outlined hereunder.

Your $200 could be used to purchase a tent for a family of five in need of urgent accommodation.

Similarly $80 would allow the organization to distribute 40 wool blankets to protect families with young and old members from the cold.

Then there are medical supplies as well as essential items that could be covered with your generosity.

Please step forward and reach out to our fellow citizens in Libya especially those in transit to a safe haven having abandoned their home and belongings are now left at the mercy of compassionate beings in the global society.

We could all make a difference in the moment of tremendous humanitarian challenge in Libya and elsewhere.

Libyan Revolution Gain Momentum Against Muammar Gaddafi

March 2, 2011

By Padmini Arhant

The solidarity movement across Libya along with defectors from the Libyan armed forces should move forward to confiscate the weapons used by Muammar Gaddafi against unarmed civilians.

All those loyalists serving the dictator Muammar Gaddafi must understand that any individual unleashing indiscriminate tyranny on own nationals including the army personnel is not going to spare them.

It is a matter of time those hired by the tyrant Gaddafi would be disposed in the same manner as the brave soldiers gunned down for their valor.

One who takes the sword will fall by the edge of the sword.

Therefore the mercenaries, henchmen, security personnel and all staff members enslaved by Muammar Gaddafi and generation must lay down their ammunitions to join the peaceful revolution in ousting the ruthless totalitarian regime.

You are paid to kill men, women and children tainting your hands with blood so that Gaddafi and family could continue to wreak havoc on your fellow citizens not excluding your family and relatives.

Are you prepared to slay them for the most brutal and selfish authoritarian ruler who has amassed wealth worth $30 billion in disclosed assets not barring the undisclosed value leaving the rest of you in abject poverty?

Ask yourselves – Why should you sacrifice your life and willfully submit to slavery to a puppet leader following orders from powerful sources focused on direct control of Libya’s oil?

You need to rise against the traitor Muammar Gaddafi emboldened by the evil empire with vested interests.

The situation is no different from Egypt when the visibly shaken counterpart Hosni Mubarak was encouraged behind the scenes to remain resilient against the popular uprising despite the then President desperately seeking an exit with the statement –

“I am fed up of being Egypt’s President and I want to quit now.”

Likewise Muammar Gaddafi widely known to be acquaphobic, hypochondriac, manic-depressive…having obeyed on the nuclear program abandonment and Lockerbie settlement somehow not amenable to the Libyan citizens’ unanimous call for dismissal proves the dictator’s misplaced loyalty legitimizing the imminent displacement.

Saif al-Islam Gaddafi during the state television broadcast cited the U.S. and European powers’ disapproval of the Libyan revolution demand for Gaddafi resignation.

Subsequently the case presented through U.S. media on Saif al-Islam’s attempt for political change since the heir apparent was the oligarchy preference to lead Libya.

Meanwhile, the dangerous developments contradictory to the humanitarian operation pose the relevant question to the United States and Western powers.

What is the precise strategy behind the U.S. air force and naval ships positioned near Libya?

If the purpose is to intimidate the debilitated leader otherwise portrayed as ‘calm and relaxed’ by the mainstream media, then the United States military exercise could be futile considering –

The U.S legacy in coup d’états in Latin America, Middle East, Asia and Africa vigorously pursued until today.

The latest U.S. interventions in the successful destabilization and removal of the democratically elected governments in Haiti (early 1990 todate), Honduras and Lebanon in 2009 and 2010 without U.S. military involvement serve as examples.

United States, United Nations, NATO and European Union policy with respect to Libya and Middle East restricted to humanitarian relief avoiding military aggression at all levels would clarify the democratic nations’ positive intentions in promoting democracy.

On implementing “No Fly Zone” – certain media anchors and analysts as the political establishment’s representatives in defending the U.S. and allies’ reluctance and procrastination having claimed many innocent lives ignore the fact that there appeared to be no such problems whatsoever during the swift introduction of ‘No Fly Zone’ against Iraq.

United States unilateral decision then had become the unanimous consensus not only in that regard but also in the recent U.S. veto of Arab resolution on Jewish settlements and toppling Lebanon government.

Therefore the notion that United States’ initiative would not suffice in the humanitarian matter is diminishing the U.S. status proved wrong in UNSC resolutions through US vetoes prolonging political crises with no hope for fair and balanced outcome.

Now the U.S. militaristic stance comprising the Libyan air defense base bombing reportedly considered in order to impose the ‘No Fly Zone’ would be belligerent and counterproductive due to the obvious destruction of the national installation especially when peaceful options are available for such engagement.

U.S. and western powers role in Libya, Middle East and around the world would be beneficial as peacemakers and not aggressors exemplified in honoring the local population efforts for democratic reform and the natives ability in nation building.

Libyan revolution must resist and decline any proposals to arm them in the peaceful and non-violent political struggle.

An eye for an eye will only make the nation go blind and the ill-conceived strategy is to instigate civil war with arms supply flourishing into the territory discarding the primary target – i.e. eliminating Muammar Gaddafi and family from power.

Hence it is crucial for the Libyan revolution to be persistent and gain momentum in the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi and the clan.

Please do not relent or heed to violence designed to deter revolution progress.

In the environment debating on political correctness often based on convenience – the reference to pro-democracy seekers as ‘rebels’ by the media in the democratic societies is oxymoron and beckons their attention for appropriate characterization of the dictatorship and the backers as ‘murderers’ and ‘assassins’ depicting the reality.

Libya, Bahrain, Yemen, Jordan, Iran, Syria, Algeria, Saudi Arabia…and all others oppressed over decades can no longer tolerate injustice and must end the repressive era for a new beginning.

Good Luck! To fellow citizens in Libya, Middle East and around the world for a peaceful political liberation.

Thank you.

U.S. NATO and UN Intervention in Libya and Middle East

February 28, 2011

By Padmini Arhant

The press conference held a little while ago by the White House preceded with the UN Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice briefing on the meeting between President Barack Obama and UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon on date – February 28, 2011 at approximately 3.30P.M. EST.

UN humanitarian aid to Libya is quintessential and would be welcome by the local population.

However the United Nations volunteering political support to Libya, Tunisia, Egypt and throughout Middle East would be considered interference with programmed nominees otherwise appointing puppet regimes to take over the leadership position as seen in Afghanistan and Iraq rendering the pro-democracy martyrs’ sacrifices futile.

It would be history repeating itself contradictory to the natives’ desirable political transformation for republic rule constituting real democracy.

Therefore it would be honorable for the U.S., NATO and United Nations to allow the respective population in these nations to choose their leader within civil society to represent the democratic transition.

Furthermore there are capable leaders, scholars and constitutional law experts in every nation deserving opportunity to lead their country without foreign powers intrusion contributing to the dictatorial government establishment spanning over decades.

U.S. and allies along with UN recognition of the intellectual talent and respecting the republic will in the Middle East and elsewhere would enormously benefit the credibility factor that has been lost in the political crises management thus far.

The White House press conference and the UN ambassador accounts did not rule out U.S. and NATO military action against Libya.

It is imperative for the U.S. and NATO to abandon any air strike plans or preparation to move troops into Libya since that would categorically qualify as invasion through military aggression exacerbating the civilian plight.

Notwithstanding such decisions fomenting anti-western sentiments due to the intention in semblance with Iraq and Afghanistan – i.e. occupation and perpetual warfare.

Besides democratic nations would be expected to pursue peaceful strategies and avoid military confrontation at all costs – similar to western society aspiration upon political event reversal.

In fact based on the warm relations between Muammar Gaddafi and the western leaderships until now – it should be a no brainer to demand the embattled dictator to step down and prevent bloodshed rather than positioning to a combat situation unequivocally resulting in more casualties generating the perception as a peace opponent.

Given the Libyan dictator’s profile as a paranoid shriveling easily debilitated character exemplified in nuclear ambition renouncement and Lockerbie settlement, the panic-stricken leadership is on the brink of collapse.

The popular uprising is quite capable of deposing the despotic clan and the obstruction in this regard is predominantly attributed to deliberation on introducing ‘NO FLY ZONE’ and facilitating the artillery confiscation by the revolution.

Hence the U.S. NATO and UN services limited to humanitarian relief and non-militaristic assistance would be greatly appreciated and expedite the dictator’s departure.

Meanwhile the defected security and army personnel are urged to join the peaceful demonstrators to oust the rattled Gaddafi and associates.

Please remember that Tunisia and Egypt succeeded and so can you.

Do not relent and heed to violence or political circumvention.

Reiterating the warning to Gaddafi and mercenaries – unleashing terror against unarmed civilians would lead to devastating consequences.

Surrender or exile as time is running out with no hope for miracles.

Gaddafi rule is nearing end and the factions behind hostility sharing synonymous fate.

Libyan revolution will triumph over repression. So claim your long overdue victory.

Good Luck! To Libyan Liberation by peaceful and non-violent dissent.

Thank you.
