Russia – Hegemony Trump Card To Rescue Imminent Imperialism Decline

March 17, 2014

By Padmini Arhant

(The Article Presented with Addendum in blue highlight).

The Syndicate doctrine is two sides of the coin – heads and tails designed to favor the shadow power.

The premise prominent in political campaign viz. United States and similar proxy governance worldwide to suit hegemony agenda.

Hegemony latest tactic involves pseudo opposition to Washington primarily to convince the world as challenger to status quo.

However in reality the cooperation between major powers – Washington and Moscow in this context are locked steps on all major issues invariably leading to anchored goals for strategic dominance.

Since Russian President Vladimir Putin assumed formal position as head of the Russian Federation following election in 2012, the Russian authority decisions on international crises arguably met hegemony satisfaction.

They are enumerated according to global events in recent memory.

1.  North Korea – UNSC Resolution imposed economic sanctions against North Korea. The five permanent members viz. United States, Britain, France, Russia and China unanimously voted to exacerbate North Korean population suffering in the Korean peninsula.

2. Mali – UNSC Resolution on France invasion of the West African nation, Mali – Again all members along with EU approved military aggression and Moscow providing logistic support in the operation.

3. Central African Republic –  UNSC Resolution on France troop deployment in Central African Republic – Russia and counterparts authorized Resolution 2127 mandating military intervention.

4. SyriaRussia honoring EU, United States and allies arms embargo on Syria withheld prepaid military consignment especially S-300 despite for exclusive defensive purpose.

The measure consequently facilitated more than two Israeli air strikes laden with nuclear component targeting Syrian scientific and research center as well as other interests near and around the capital, Damascus in 2013 notwithstanding many casualties and infrastructure destruction.

5. Syria – Moscow initiated agreement with Washington yielded Israel, United States and Saudi Arabia aspired chemical weapons disarmament from Syria without multilateral enforcement on real perpetrators i.e. the sponsors of terrorism and five chemical attacks in the war torn nation.

6. Iran – Russia in compliance with Untied States and Israel’s objection indefinitely postponed S-400 delivery to Iran regardless of the latter advance payment on the deal.

7. Russia –  On 20 December 2013, Russian President Vladimir Putin pardoned oil tycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky at EU and Israel’s behest.   The oligarch held on corruption charges visited Israel soon after release from prison to reconnect with business associates from the previously owned oil corporation Yukos for revival.

8. Russia –  Kremlin’s tolerance or the lack thereof to free speech surfaced in disguise with suppression of alternative press in the otherwise predominant state owned or represented broadcast media.

Synonymously on social trend whether federal response to undocumented immigrants in Moscow or anti-gay rights movement upends democratic prospects in the failure to guarantee pervasive fairness and equality in society.

9. JordanRussian aummition supply to Jordan – one of the key players enabling terror networks operation against Syria not necessarily considered conflict of interest ignoring subsequent provision to mercenaries for easy access.

10.  Egypt – Hegemony instruction to Washington to suspend military aid to interim government in Cairo – engaged in confrontation with pro-Morsi supporters and further accused of violent crack down essentially reestablished by Moscow.

Egypt’s defense minister and potential Presidential candidate Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi during Moscow visit signed weapons contract worth $ 2 billion offsetting $1.5 billion United States assistance maintaining Israel and military industrial complex respective policy.

President Vladimir Putin officially endorsed the visiting dignitary for Egypt Presidency in the anticipated Presidential election.

11.  Russia – The Southern Russian city Volgograd bombings in less than two months duration in October and December 2013 conforming to false flag terror incidents linked Islamic states such as Dagestan and Chechnya…in North Caucasus region seeking autonomy and independence from Russia.

12. PalestineRussia relations with Israel and relevantly the controversial settlement expansion comprising settlers from Russia, Poland and other states in Eastern Europe serving as deterrence in the seven decades old peace process with Moscow refraining from active participation or exerting influence on Russian ally Israel.

13. CubaRussian President Vladimir Putin strengthened ties with Cuba through debt forgiveness waiving 90 percent of $ 32 billion including $ 20 billion in fees and accrued interest originating from former Soviet Union transaction.

The quid pro quo typically encompasses the remaining 10% payment i.e. $ 3.2 billion over 10 years from Cuba in addition to accommodating Russia’s military presence in the Caribbean nation.

Such developments are indicative of Russian leadership prevalent ambition to reinstate former Soviet tradition in pro-Russian territories around the world.

The fact of the matter is whenever foreign powers occupy nations – the occupied country surrender republic statehood and transformed into colony.

In this particular accord between Moscow and Havana – Is Cuba sovereignty valued at only $ 28.8 billion rather than being non-negotiable exemplifying liberty as invaluable?

14. Russia Nuclear testing continues unabated in correlation with United States proliferation and likewise conventional arms trade exponentially increased escalating human rights violation in volatile and oppressed conditions world over.

Russia focus on economic opportunity in nuclear power plant technology and equipment viz. reactors to developing nations neglects Fukushima generated environment disaster besides fostering possible nuclear arsenal pursuits in the long run.

15. Ukraine – Considering Russian intelligence apparatus with former KGB dissolved into covert and overt espionage activity nonetheless sharing information in the areas concerning domestic and regional security among neighboring states apparently overlooked United States and EU infiltration to derail democracy in Ukraine.

Hegemony divide and conquer strategy in the removal of democratically elected government in Kiev allowed on Russia’s watch promoting Crimea disintegration from Ukraine.

Finally, the paradoxical paradigm utilizing Russia and United States in congruence to hegemonic mission evidently the last hope to rescue inevitable and imminent extinction of feudal system espousing imperialism.

Good Luck! To humanity in protecting individual freedom, national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Peace to all!

Thank you.

Eurasia – Georgia Parliamentary Elections 2012

October 8, 2012

By Padmini Arhant

The State of Georgia previously part of the former Soviet Union held Parliamentary election on October 1, 2012 and,

The incumbent President Mikheil Saakashvili headed United National Movement lost to the opposition, the Georgian Dream coalition led by billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvilli altering the political situation in the country that was engaged in war with Russia over South Ossetia and Abkhazia separation from Georgia.

President Saakashvili, a strong western ally as well as proxy leadership for the United States is at the end of Presidential term and the nation undergoing constitutional changes to the political system with the newly elected political party leadership as Prime Minister Ivanishvili aimed at promoting bilateral ties with the neighbor Russia and others against predecessor trend.

Having served the term limit i.e. two successive terms, President Saakashvili maintained close relations with United States, EU and Israel providing NATO access to contain Russian political influence in the ex-Soviet bloc and adjacent region.

Even though the electoral outcome is a major setback for the west, the Georgian electorate active participation post election in monitoring government function with appropriate checks and balances could prevent France scenario following globalists favored former President Nicolas Sarkozy departure.

The Presidential election is scheduled for October 2013 with precedence set in the recent poll.

Georgian election result is the voter dissatisfaction with status quo facilitating the required transformation considering the incumbency abuse of power, economic mismanagement and overwhelming external interference in domestic affairs undermining sovereignty.

The incoming administration could be facing similar trials to demonstrate commitment and faltering could be a huge risk considering the Presidential election in 2013 with possible voter backlash in local and national elections in the immediate future.

Congratulations! To Georgian electorate and the winner Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili as well as members of Georgian Dream Coalition on the election victory with an opportunity to realize national dreams benefitting all.

Peace to all!

Thank you.

Russia – St. Petersburg, International Economic Forum 2012

June 24, 2012

By Padmini Arhant

International economic forum 2012 held in St. Petersburg, Russia focus on Russian economy and energy sector relevant for the BRICS member.

Russian market liberalization with incentives for investors might have led to high end deals at the meeting.

However, moderation prudent on all measures prior to overarching relaxation of rules based on expectations for lucrative returns.

Russia’s policy in unrestricted capital flight to domestic and foreign investors with a request to new venture capitalists to expand upon being successful in initial embarkation is anticipation not necessarily incumbent upon beneficiaries deriving gains from unlimited access to national resource.

The economies luring capitalism to stimulate growth would enhance opportunity in defining engagement process through legislation not only for local competition survival but also safeguard sovereignty.

Besides monopoly of market share undermining labor and taxation laws including environment standards are common experience among nations inviting foreign investment.

Another major factor being reciprocation in offshore trade often does not conform to terms and conditions with arrangement favoring one and not another.

Mutual trust violation in currency adjustments or trade imbalances also leads to unnecessary tension between interdependent partners in the otherwise resolvable disputes that are once again used for geopolitical agenda.

Capitalism providing fair income distribution contrary to status quo and abandoning practices to establish control on sovereign national assets such as oil, natural gas, minerals and various commodities among the products with human capital regularly exploited especially in developing nations would facilitate viable economic climate.

The contemporary invasions under false pretext evidently counterproductive and multinational corporations with energy sector, defense and finance industry in particular among others instrumental in cataclysmic warfare causing death and destruction alongside political instability urgently required to change course from adversarial role to honoring territorial integrity,

Capitalism in the new millennium reining control over political systems in national and international domain through campaign financing and legislative authority set dangerous precedence and predominantly responsible for democracy decline.

Russia receiving funds for discretionary spending from Middle East viz. Kuwait generous contribution $500 million to RDIF (Russian Direct Investment Fund) and U.S. initiated membership to international organization ITO with no strings attached would perhaps allow recipient to participate on equal footing without compromising UNSC veto right.

Furthermore entering into business contracts with profit sharing in both nations – overseas as well as partner domicile quintessentially end lingering uncertainty winning consumer support and investor confidence.

State capitalism on key programs such as health care for all with an option to seek private medical treatments,

Compulsory free education to poor and lower income category to boost literacy rates across the nation,

Adequate funding for quality higher education to prepare nation with skillful work force,

Subsidized housing with essential conveniences in exchange for involvement in community projects would eliminate crimes and social problems that are costing taxpayers more in penitentiary upkeep and running prison camps like in the United States.

Protecting retirement funds to guarantee financial security to retirees and baby boomers,

Veterans’ benefits extended to them and their families during and after national duty.

Periodic improvement with technology oriented civil services and infrastructure maintenance are core and integral part of public sector undertaking to ensure healthy, educated and socially integrative society.

Accordingly crackdown on bureaucracy and corruption posing impediments to genuine progress is an immediate priority.

Nationalization, privatization and quasi privatization would complement functionality wherever applicable.

The diversity would address deficiencies in areas vulnerable to fluctuations and unexpected events demanding intervention.

Regardless appropriate regulations are necessary for checks and balances to create long term growth.

The setup deserves due attention and action on individual basis beginning with banking and finance extended over to other areas of commerce.

Nations assuming direct power over money supply imperative exemplifying national ownership at present referenced in sovereign debt with constant monitoring aided by effective fiscal and monetary policy.

Simultaneously surplus allocation towards national reserves would alleviate austerity or tax increase in dealing with market volatility and economic or financial crisis in the global environment.

Liberating economies from private management under prevalent Federal Reserve or Central Bank with nationalization of monetary unit and core banking activities plus oversight on national and private financial institutions to avert serious meltdown would guarantee fiduciary reliability.

Sustainability premised on solid foundation accompanied by robust stimulants would provide steady and progressive trend.

Energy metamorphosis to contain carbon emissions and economic impact on natural gas and oil producing nations merits exclusive presentation.

Similarly euro zone analysis with pros and cons on recent developments will be a separate topic of discussion.

Russia – the host nation having achieved many business prospects at the consortium acknowledged for the International Economic Forum 2012 that brought more than 50 countries to showcase respective accomplishments and vision.

Peace to all!

Thank you.

Russia – President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev Resume Office

May 10, 2012

By Padmini Arhant

Congratulations! To President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev upon being democratically elected and approved by Parliament respectively to serve six year term in office.

President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev – the dynamic duo are no strangers to Russia and international community.

Russia re-emerged multi-dimensionally as a growing economy shaping democracy in the culturally diverse vast nation under Putin-Medvedev diligent leadership demonstrating resolve, performance with results and patience in systematic resurrection of political and economic strength against challenges at home and abroad.

Following Soviet Union collapse, Russia was debilitated becoming the ultimate target for global conglomerate to access substantial resources especially natural gas with Russia being the world’s largest producer and second oil exporter next to Saudi Arabia.

President Putin rise to power regarded ominous among globalists eyeing on Russia preceded by China in the woeful global dominance doomed to be a colossal failure.

On the economic standpoint, President Putin and Prime Minister Medvedev policies in streamlining taxation and job-oriented investments reversed declining position to emulous status with Russia as member of G-20 and equally prominent BRICS contributor consistently producing positive returns evident in the middle class expansion and impressive GDP to debt ratio elevating Russia’s credit profile compared to deficit ridden G-8 counterparts struggling to fund federal budget for government existence.

President Putin plan to crackdown corruption in public and private sector would improve efficiency in business operation and eliminating bureaucracy clears impediments for investors in the competitive global economy.

Besides wealth recovery from tax evasions boost federal reserves enabling government projects related to infrastructure, alleviating poverty and programs in national interest.

Political reforms – President Putin maintained campaign promise on free and fair elections with very few irregularities reported in the recent polls.

The President assurance to investigate the errors is noteworthy and inviting political factions across the spectrum to participate in the electoral process with registration – a preliminary step towards functional democracy.

However, the western powers criticism against President Putin is access denial to top job in the country.

Russia has been through tremendous turbulence and continually tested for formidability by imperialistic aspirants currently on the back foot realizing the ramifications of far fetched agenda backfiring at them in national elections with their representatives paying political price despite financial backing, marketing and promotion under the guise of democracy.

The opposition in Russia regardless of political ideology was lacking in solutions to domestic and global problems when requested by then Prime Minister Putin to come forward with election manifesto precisely addressing issues confronting the biggest nation on earth.

Competing for the highest office without knowing the direction country will be led is dangerous considering the external threat and prevalent predatory trend exploiting power vacuum from clueless and weak national leadership easily hamstrung and manipulated or even worse in cohort with elements endangering life and sovereignty would be treason in disguise.

The candidates resume with or without executive experience alone inadequate to govern nations in the world riddled with turmoil and complexities demanding ingenuity, integrity, versatility, courage, compassion, patriotism, pragmatism and spontaneity – qualities not necessarily acquired but inherent in extraordinary leaderships nowadays more significant than ever.

Western powers disenchantment with Russian electorates overwhelming choice i.e. 64% in the most transparent electoral victory only confirms the persistent bias and credibility factor given the trajectory of their alliances and discord towards people’s decision thus far.

The habitual rejection of popular mandate witnessed earlier in Iran with Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh then lately in Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Haiti involving President Jean-Bertrand Aristride and throughout Latin America…installing their nominees clarifies western powers authenticity and respect or the lack thereof for real democracy.

On national security – the contentious anti-missile defense (AMD) system directed at Russia under Eastern Europe protection pretext and deterrence against Iran arguably provocative and unwanted controversy that could be resolved with mutual understanding to redress genuine concerns over any pre-emptive strikes in the north and south western borders of Russia.

United States and NATO downplaying the symptomatic risks alongside missile testing in Hawaii contradictory to START treaty ratification triggering nuclear armament rather than disarmament course.

Notwithstanding lofty rhetoric combined with economic sanctions against North Korea and Iran while violating international law on ballistic missiles seriously jeopardize U.S. as well as NATO legitimacy and commitment in containing nuclear arms race.

United States reluctance to provide written guarantee that no harm intended at Russia in bilateral agreement over AMD again reveals double standards in this context with Iran.

Although Iran as NPT (Nuclear Non- Proliferation Treaty) signatory allowed IAEA and UN inspection apart from cooperation in holding talks with EU last month and agreed to further dialogue on this matter,

United States rigorous campaigns on oil embargo against Iran with warnings such as comply or face consequences issued to nations irrespective of dire energy needs is counterproductive and hypocritical of epic proportion.

U.S. and allies recognition of geopolitical paradigm shift and economic realities would perhaps be conducive for crises resolution and benefit all.

Otherwise the younger generation expected to be tomorrow’s leaders in the rest of the world might simply not accept obsolete hierarchical feudalism set in medieval era.

Russia is on the progressive trail with steady transformation in political, economic and social platform learning from past mistakes like excess military spending in an effort to counteract existential western gimmicks – the ploy to derail economic growth that diminished Russia’s stature in spite of defense compatibility precipitating former Soviet Union disintegration.

Weapon modernization and advanced technology is essential,

Nonetheless prudence required in disproportionate budget allocation prioritizing sustainable prosperous economy, political stability and social equality preventing internal unrest.

United States alarming defense expenditure hurt vast majority depriving them basic lifestyle with cuts aimed at programs like retirement savings, health, education and environment.

Investments in economy resilient to volatility balanced with fiscal management would facilitate reliable productivity, capital infusion and constant employment generating surplus income.

Foreign Policy – Russia’s rational approach supporting peace and diplomacy in Syria and Iran is commendable.

As UN Security Council member – Russia could be a stalwart on Palestinian statehood with full UN membership at the general assembly.

On the UN Security Council Membership – In accordance with twenty first century socio-economic and political developments depicting marked demographic changes –

P15 substituting P5+1 barring political clout to garner votes would deliver general consensus reflecting fairness in applying universal standard on humanitarian issues and international affairs for common good.

Similarly G-20 replacing G-8 economic summits would be effective in strategizing remedies to downturns in global economy and financial market.

The contemporary two tier functionality is confusing rendering proposals from either groups redundant in the absence of solidarity.

Russia endowed with fossil fuel and nuclear energy could begin divestments in clean natural source for domestic consumption and worldwide distribution to attain 1.5°C or 350ppm – the optimum setting for planet sustenance.

Citizens in Russia entrusted power in mature, confident and competent leaderships of President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev for prolonged success and great vision gradually coming into fruition overcoming obstacles on the path to glory.

Good Luck to Russian democracy and the architects proudly represented by President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev with a promising future.

Best Wishes to Russia with cornucopia of peace and fortune.

Peace to all!

Thank you.

Russia – President Vladimir Putin Wins National Election 2012

March 4, 2012

By Padmini Arhant

Congratulations! To President Vladimir Putin and Russia on the spectacular victory in the reportedly most transparent, free and fair elections in political history.

Russia has spoken and the electoral mandate is clear. With polling results still pouring in from across the sprawling nation, Prime Minister Putin as the candidate emerged victorious with 63.9% in the national election.

The large voter turnout is indicative of Russian electorate seriousness in moving the country forward given the political and economic dynamics in the twenty first century.

Russia has risen from tumultuous times to be a confident and mature global partner evident in the milestones reached on economic, political and international affairs.

The international community has a reliable ally in Russia considering the threats to national sovereignty, human rights and natural environment.

President Vladimir Putin having demonstrated strengths and drawbacks in the political tenure is in a better position to enhance many positive attributes while minimizing or learning from any erroneous decisions in the new term in office.

Russia has acknowledged the leaderships’ role with a solid political capital to build a strong and formidable nation for the citizens in the domestic as well as international domain.

The outgoing President Dmitry Medevdev has been instrumental in the latest economic progress achieved despite global financial crisis. The administration has evolved and contained problems within and outside national interest.

Russia has a bright future that could be shared with the rest of the world as an equal sovereign nation willing to resolve disputes through peace and diplomacy.

Наилучшие пожелания Президенту Владимиру Путину и людям России в замечательном достижении и больше на горизонте.

Best Wishes to President Vladimir Putin and the people of Russia in the remarkable achievement and more on the horizon.

Еще раз Желая Мир, Стабильность и Процветание к России.

Once again Wishing Peace, Stability and Prosperity to Russia.

Peace to all!

Russia – Presidential Elections 2012

March 3, 2012

By Padmini Arhant

Russia – The nation with borders connecting to Asia, Europe and North America is not only significant for vastness but also a formidable power in the economic, political and military perspective.

Since Soviet Union collapse, the Eurasian country was considerably weakened in many aspects by the globalists clearing the way for long aspired dominance especially in the oil and natural gas rich Central Asia.

The western targets defender viewed an obstructionist until today was debilitated with the fall of iron curtain.

Soviet Union sprawling across Eastern Europe and Central Asia was perceived a major threat with communism being another factor for western perseverance to contain the then Cold War rival seizing opportunity in the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

Although, during Cold War the United States and former Soviet Union brinkmanship reached precipice in the wisely averted Cuban missile crisis,

The desire to subjugate non-western powers persists amongst Feudalist Empire.

In fact the desperation is ominously expressed in the quest for supremacy through one world government – the systematic rejection of sovereignty with hegemony.

The strategy currently used against western adversaries Iran and Syria in the regime change agenda aggressively pursued with crippling economic sanctions along side military option ignoring the inevitable backlash and irreversible setback for the perpetrators underestimating retaliatory power.

Antiquated western policy to undermine regions under the guise of democracy earlier in Vietnam and continued in twenty first century against Iraq,

Syria and Iran pushed into military confrontation is a cavalier approach doomed for failure.

Notwithstanding western hypocrisy in the implementation of unconstitutional laws such as Patriot Act, ACTA and NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) effectively imposing Martial Law in the so-called democracy.

Soviet Union particularly in the 1970 – 1980’s and just prior to the crumbling of USSR was baited with substantial U.S. defense budget comprising illusive outer space anti-ballistic missiles program.

Then the Soviet Union in an effort to parallel American firepower including nuclear capability apparently overstretched defense commitment at economy’s expense precipitating western goal – government dissolution through population under economic duress.

The mutual agreement between two nations on arms control via new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) subsequent to previous accord on short and long-range missiles is an important milestone on record.

However, the commitment exemplified in action would address speculations on both sides experiencing budget constraints with economic woes demanding priority over extravagant defense expenditure.

Similarly, the controversial NATO expansion in Eastern Europe and Warsaw pact maintenance with interceptor missiles defense shield has led to the formation of Collective Security Treaty Organization by Russia and Central Asia  –

To counteract the pervasive U.S. military bases posing existential security concern for non-western powers considering the prevalent western ambition to topple governments sweeping across Middle East.

Simultaneously, the tactical and conventional stockpiles are contentious in the face of escalating tensions between West and Iran aimed at regional destabilization.

Nuclear summit by nuclear and non-nuclear states with unanimous consensus on nuclear disarmament in 2012 rather than foreseeable time frame would alleviate burden of guilt or innocence in the brewing conflict.

Again the responsibility lies with all nations regardless of declared or discreet nuclear status to participate in the nuclear free zone treaty.

Any reluctance to relinquish nuclear weapons would verify the legitimacy in the global war on terror.

Nuclear statehood used as pretext for wars and persistent drone attacks in Pakistan and Yemen premised on prohibiting terror networks possession of nuclear arsenal could cease upon mandatory global nuclear disarmament.

Otherwise the present hierarchical nuclear rights asserted as responsible vs. potentially dangerous category deceptively deviates from the desirable course.

Reverting to former Soviet Union conscientious attempt under President Mikhail Gorbachev leadership for political and economic reform in the introduction of Glasnost and Perestroika pledged to Transparency and Restructuring evidently met with resistance from the apparatus then reining control over the political system.

The political transition for Russia has been extremely challenging with worst nuclear disaster in Chernobyl followed by Soviet Union disintegration evolving into dire economic problems amid political corruption and,

KGB intelligence defection to the west facilitating foreign intrusion in Russian elections.

The turbulence produced nostalgia for the predecessor political rule that guaranteed stability per the generation timeline.

Fast forwarding to the contemporary period, Russia is a mature nation with tremendous expertise in dealing with domestic and international crises.

Russia as an emerging economic power has enormous potential to shape the global economy.

The national diversity and geopolitical dynamics has contributed positive growth nonetheless not without the share of grievances from the minority and disenfranchised demography.

Amicable settlement on Chechnya after more than a decade operation is a preliminary step towards long-term peaceful relationship.

Secessionism often emanates from economic disparity, lack of political representation in the state and national level that transforms into social injustice.

State autonomy is vital when attending to specific issues and indigenous matter.

If these fundamental needs were provided then there would be less inclination for separatism from federation that could safeguard borders as part of the national territory.

These measures are more appropriate for a state within the republic.

Unlike the foreign invasion and occupation of sovereign nation with independent pre-existence later subjected to annexation by force.

Likewise racial discord and communal violence could be attributed to economic deprivation and ignorance.

Russia is in the process of conforming to twenty first century political paradigm.

The public dissent in Moscow is directed at basic requirements like free and fair elections, political freedom and constitutional reform to limit terms in office, widespread economic activity…and restriction on oligarchy interference in politics.

Five contenders including incumbent Prime Minister Vladimir Putin are vying for the highest office in Kremlin.

Prime Minister Putin having served two terms as President presented election manifesto incorporating the electorates’ economic expectations with the exception of early Parliamentary elections called for by the citizens due to alleged discrepancy in the December 2011 electoral outcome.

Candidates in the Presidential race have expressed their various positions and promises unless delivered usually remain a rhetoric or campaign trail appeasement.

Russia has made remarkable recovery economically in recent years and,

Politically honoring the republic will for a vibrant democracy would further enhance the leadership role in the domestic and international domain.

Russia’s role in foreign policy as United Nations Security Council member has been prudent favoring peace and diplomacy over military intervention.

The trend is imperative to curtail cataclysmic events in the volatile Middle East.

Despite standard disagreements on international affairs,

Washington and Kremlin cooperation on nuclear free world and bilateral trade,

Collaboration in science and technology, space exploration and advanced education,

Travel and cultural exchange would strengthen ties benefitting the citizens of both nations.

Удачи! Кандидатам в президенты на 2012 выборах.

Good Luck! To Presidential candidates in the 2012 elections.

Пожелание Мира, Продвижения и процветания в изобилии людям в России.

Wishing Peace, Progress and prosperity in abundance to people in Russia.

Peace to all!

Thank you.

Syria – Ceasefire and Peace Talks

February 10, 2012

By Padmini Arhant

Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov’s recent meeting with Syrian President Bashar Al Assad to end violence and commence peace talks with opposition is commendable.

The foreign minister gained assurance from Syrian leadership and the opposition expressed willingness for negotiations on February 7, 2012.

Syrian government has also agreed to resume Arab league monitoring in Syria that was previously suspended due to the engagement evolving into political rather than humanitarian mission.

U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki Moon statement on Arab league leader Nabil Elaraby request for joint oversight in Syria could ease tension provided the involvement remains A-political and committed to promoting peace between the government and people choice of representatives.

Soon after Russian delegation briefing on the development – February 7, 2012,

Ref: CNN report Wednesday, February 8, 2012, by the CNN Wire Staff on CNN.com

Title: Activist: Infants, medical staff among dead in Homs crackdown.

http://www.cnn.com/2012/02/08/world/meast/syriaunrest/index.html?iref=mpstoryview

CNN report claiming as unverifiable and unable to corroborate the events or sources causing the purported crimes,

Nonetheless, the international network decision to publish the hyperbolic material generates a legitimate perception – the corporate media serving as propaganda machinery as it did in preparation for illegal invasion of Iraq, military intervention in Libya and now in Syria.

The western broadcast networks in collusion – CNN, BBC and Australian ABC reports on Syrian casualties with conspicuous bias exemplify subversions during war and election.

Sadly, profits driven irresponsible journalism cares less about the consequences of their objectionable actions on life when all peaceful demonstrations invariably transformed into armed conflict for occupation.

Since UNSC resolution adapting to Libyan model disapproval by two other permanent members i.e. Russia and China,

The western powers maneuver to achieve their agenda – regime change through military aggression is sanguineous and counterproductive.

The desperation to engulf Middle East with military incursions demonstrates malefic intent to embroil the world in violent confrontation.

Under humanitarian pretense, the western interference has derailed the revolutions’ prospects for political freedom.

Beginning with Egypt, Supreme Council of Armed Forces with U.S. annual military aid $1.5 billion maintains the predecessor hard line policy revealed in the football riot.

The unmasking of NGO’s in Cairo on espionage linked with U.S. State department.

Iran – the nuclear scientists serial killings attributed to CIA and Mossad.

Libya – the revolutions split into armed militia and power brokers with western authority.

Syria – anti-government regimens representing western powers masqueraded as rebels and upon reviewing the deteriorating situation,

The infiltration disguised as government forces implicated for atrocities against unarmed civilians including the horrific attacks in Homs to haste Syrian government departure is reprehensible.

Afghanistan – The latest report on NATO assault killing children attracting Afghan President Hamid Karzai indignation and many such incidents before reveals the reckless conduct with no respect for life or international law.

Libya – Again several supposedly missed targets with NATO strikes claiming the lives of unarmed factions during the civil war brought upon otherwise peaceful and non-violent rally.

Pakistan – despite detailed maps and check posts locations not to mention the state of the art technology at U.S and NATO disposal, the shelling of Pakistani military base resulting in 24 soldiers deaths with no apology for the loss of lives or sovereignty violation,

These events characterize the military operations behind U.S. and NATO façade in the democratization of Islamic world.

Evidently, U.S. led NATO poses a quintessential threat to humanity at large.

Henceforth, the dismantling of the following organizations would unequivocally serve in global interest.

World Bank,

International Monetary Fund,

Federal Reserve,

The military industrial complex representing the defense industries and U.S. commandeered NATO and,

Last but not the least,

The International Criminal Court of Justice – ICC with selective indictments redefining justice diminishing judiciary to fiduciary.

These institutions have demonstrably destabilized economies and decimated civilizations for global dominance.

The leaderships’ complicity undermines the ‘democratic’ system they pledged to defend in the constitutional oath glaringly discarded for nexus motive i.e. supremacy at mass subjugation.

Syrian crisis is the other dimension for pre-meditated global showdown.

Syrian Citizens must exercise diligence in delineating pro-democracy volunteers from external influenced armed opposition to avoid Libya like transition.

The genuine political groups upon civil society acknowledgment could utilize the opportunity for direct dialogue with the government.

In presenting the problems to the government, the political opposition candor would eliminate hierarchy necessary for democracy onset.

First and foremost, complete ceasefire by government, rebels and anti-government segments is paramount ending hostility and bloodshed.

Release of all political dissidents held in custody.

Constitutional and political reforms are fundamental steps to democratic roadmap,

Enacting Parliamentary form without Presidency to downsize the government functionality in terms of political rigmarole,

Besides saving taxpayer dollars in provisional management that is more often vested in partisanship considering the ceremonial head of the state appointment by the ruling power at the center.

Government of the people, by the people and for the people held accountable to the people would strengthen democracy in a republic unlike arbitrary figurers politically swayed for individual goals than common good.

The eligibility criteria for those seeking power in public office  – integrity, intelligence with proven track record in social and national service would determine sincerity.

Zero tolerance to corruption and treason with stringent laws upholding the democratic principle – None are above the law.

People nominated independent committee investigation of political scandals would substantially curb political and corporate crimes prevalent in contemporary society.

Prime Minister elected through democratic process leading the administration could be the primary change.

The government term limited to four years and not exceeding two terms enables checks and balances for meaningful democracy.

Facilitating secular political denomination is important for national unity and security.

Women’s role and minority demography in government and legislative body would affirm equality and conform to twenty first century standard.

Fundamentalism or radicalism contributes to political turmoil compromising liberty and a reason for foreign presence.

Political reform comprising free and fair elections,

Public finance for political campaigns barring corporations, wealthy individuals and special interests viz. religious, economic…ownership of candidacies,

Right to recall elected representatives or government through ballot measure and confidence vote in Parliament to enforce performance based governance.

Local and central authorities authorizing use of force against unarmed civilians would be constitutional breach to protect and defend citizens.

Notwithstanding prohibition of lethal weapons or health hazard substance to establish law and order.

The leadership or administration’s such practice subjected to removal from power using democratic means like Parliamentary proceedings, judicial process and civil society ombudsman would curtail government violent crackdown and restore democracy.

Judiciary and investigation wing on crimes related to political matter under administration or executive branch by and large invalidated with extensive abuse of power.

Isolating Judiciary and investigative agency away from government jurisdiction would address conflict of interest reflected in judgments delivered for political appeasement marginalizing judicial efficacy essentially set up to deliver justice without prejudice.

Prioritizing civil and human rights regardless of class, creed, gender and sexual orientation in the constitution would reinforce the universal law – All are created equal.

Syria has endured enormous pain and suffering and people have the power to begin the healing process.

President Bashar Al Assad must withdraw armed forces from the main street throughout Syria and issue an executive order to ceasefire.

Instead the government should respond with emergency relief to rescue citizens from foreign attacks and save lives expediting humanitarian aid.

Likewise the oppositions should be careful not to fall prey to predators divide and conquer strategy.

Middle East history is testimony to colonial / imperialist ambitions.

United Syria can prevail in adversity confronting the nation and deal with challenges adhering to peaceful and non-violent methods that would guarantee success.

Russian leadership fostering peace in Syria is praiseworthy and further international support would reverse the deteriorating political conditions to national vantage.

Western powers abandoning ill-conceived government toppling would benefit them given the mistrust against foreign entry under false pretexts for yet another devious aspiration – global depopulation.

Adopting Machiavellian approach to overthrow government is self-effacing with the irony in end justifying the means.

Syrian leaderships in the government and oppositions alike are urged to set their political differences aside, disavow violence and move forward in safeguarding citizens’ lives and statehood.

Wishing people and the leaderships in Syria victory in peaceful resolutions of the political upheaval.

Peace to all!

Thank you.

Syria – Crisis Resolution

February 5, 2012

By Padmini Arhant

The political unrest in Syria emanating from prolonged oppression is Arab Spring motivated and in semblance with other Arab States experience viz. Libya for government transfer of power,

Syrian peaceful and non-violent protest has transformed into armed conflict between the rebels and government security force.

Arab Spring is the culmination of mainstream frustration over political repression, economic disparity and social inequality within society.

The violent confrontation in Syria beginning with government crackdown witnessed even in the so-called democracies against peaceful assembly triggered the relentless street demonstration.

Meanwhile, western powers with discriminatory dealings record in response to Arab Spring demand for political freedom are perceived as opportunists to exploit situation in their favor for economic and/or strategic interest.

Considering the western instigated killings in Bahrain, Yemen and procrastination in Tunisia, Egypt not barring leading Libya into civil war, the intervention thus far has been detrimental for revolutions in the region.

The majority of authoritarian regimes being close western allies or hegemony approved puppet governments,

The substantial mistrust against western proposals largely premised on regime change with military might cannot be underestimated given the ideology driven Project for New American Century targeted goals for global dominance.

Although the vested interests vary with geopolitical dynamics,

Syrian turmoil is attributed to government failure in maintaining dialogue with political opposition as well as the people through trusted and respected intermediary in the society.

President Bashar Al Assad authorization of civilian attacks using armed forces is reprehensible and a major misstep in the attempt to quell dissent.

The continuous violence lasting over eleven months especially in Homs and Damascus outskirts was facilitated by arms influx into the state providing arms dealers incentive for ammunition supply.

Influential powers as Security Council members share responsibility for Syrian status quo.

Arming the government and opposition in Syria for balanced retaliation is the repeat of Libyan episode.

An eye for an eye would blind the world is evident in Syrian political struggle.

The anti-government in Syria is not distinctive in terms of civilian representation due to western focus on Syria linked with Iran.

The reports on CIA and Mossad infiltration alongside Saudi Arabia covert participation through armed militia are a liability for any regional or international resolution.

Similarly Arab League mission in Syria to monitor the disturbance had a huge credibility issue with member states default on  human rights and political system denying republic rule.

Any foreign interference with ulterior motive would falter in the required action.

UN Security Council resolution posed to bring stability in Syria in the absence of political fairness against militancy apparently contributed to two members i.e. Russia and China veto the proposal.

The contentious issues are UN arms embargo against Syrian government but not on the insurgency and ambiguity in the draft language stating ‘all means necessary’ similar to Libyan interception that led to military aggression and massive civilian casualty.

UNSC polarized view and decisions on Middle East in general with US veto on Palestinian statehood, discarding UN appointed counsel Justice Richard Goldstone report on Gaza in 2009 and complicity in escalating tensions against Iran with crippling sanctionsseverely jeopardize council members’ integrity and impartiality in carrying out the anticipated measures in Syria.

The expansion of UNSC permanent membership inviting Brazil, Japan, South Africa, Turkey, Norway and India…to conform to contemporary economic and political paradigm is out of consideration for the council set up in twentieth century.

In light of the inherent shortcomings, the expectation for unanimity on global disputes is often challenging creating apprehension among members with reservations on human rights violation accord given the individual profile in this context.

United Nations organization purpose to defend the weak and vulnerable or step forward in recognizing Palestinian sovereignty is not necessarily the UNSC goal reflected in the misuse of veto power.

Syria heading in the direction of Libya with current mutiny has no alternative but ceasefire on all sides i.e. both the government and anti-government factions unconditional disarmament is imperative to stop the bloodshed in order to resume dialogue for peaceful political transition.

President Bashar Al Assad acknowledgment of citizens’ demand for democratic rule would defend Syria from foreign invasion and legitimize the leadership role in allowing republic governance to succeed as the viable political resolution.

The political opposition in Syria – Syrian National Council, Local Coordination Committee and Free Syrian Army…delineation from foreign association would clarify the groups’ authenticity subject to Syrian nationals final approval through political referendum.

Western powers ambition to expedite military incursion in Syria under humanitarian pretext imitating Libya would be counterproductive.

Instead internationally recognized non-profit and A-political humanitarian organization access to heal the wounded and attend to the displaced population could alleviate the suffering besides dispelling any speculations on potential civil discord.

United Nations service limited to UNHCR and UNICEF operation on the ground could further assist in the humanitarian aid.

There is urgency to refrain from violence on behalf of the government and opposition alike enabling civil discourse for constructive outcome.

Procrastination in political consensus would exacerbate the prevalent chaos weakening national security.

Solidarity among political leaderships, academics, scholars and peace activists in Syrian civil society could contain the clashes and mediate peace talks honoring Syrian electorate choice of government.

The inevitable change could not be stalled with political uprising having claimed many innocent lives and government determination to extend authoritarianism might replicate events in Egypt and Libya.

Syrian authority and anti-government segments are urged to lay their arms and adopt non-violent means for fruitful negotiations with immediate effect.

President Bashar Al Assad government reining control over political dissidents generated disintegration and political compromise would perhaps reverse the trend towards republican democracy.

Peace and liberty are the fundamental rights of all citizens regardless of faith, race and gender.

The desire to dominate and deprive individual freedom foments radicalism at one extreme and reason for foreign occupation in another.

Syrian citizens like fellow Arabs have endured persecution and fatalities until now,

The sacrifices would not be in vain with peace and democracy on the horizon.

Wishing the people of Syria eternal peace, progress and prosperity.

Peace to all!

Thank you.

United States Senate Ratifies New START Treaty between U.S. and Russia

December 22, 2010

By Padmini Arhant

The New START Treaty – The New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty that was signed by President Barack Obama and President Dmitry Medvedev on April 8, 2010 was approved with 71-26 votes by the United States Senate.

New START Treaty between the two largest nuclear states – United States and Russia ratification replaces the original START Treaty signed in 1991 that expired on December 5, 2009.

The importance of containing the nuclear proliferation and strategic offensive arms is no longer an option but an immediate requirement in the highly volatile global environment increasingly posing greater risks without checks and balances in the critical nuclear and conventional arsenal stockpiles.

It was elaborated on this website when the related article titled – “U.S. and Russia Nuclear Arms Reduction Treaty” was published on March 27, 2010 under National and Global Security in the Politics category.

Accordingly the measures adopted in the New START Treaty is a preliminary step to curtail the discretionary expansion of the strategic offensive arms comprising the ICBM ( Intercontinental Ballistic Missile), SLBM (Submarine launched Ballistic Missiles) and nuclear warheads constituting major threat to national and international security.

As per the official declaration of this important agreement:

“New START limits the number of strategic offensive arms of the US and Russia (within seven years of the Treaty’s entry into force) to:

• 1,550 warheads on deployed ICBMs, warheads on deployed SLBMs, and
nuclear warheads counted for deployed heavy bombers.

• 800 deployed and non-deployed ICBM launchers, deployed and non-deployed
SLBM launchers, and deployed and non-deployed heavy bombers.

• 700 deployed ICBMs, deployed SLBMs, and deployed heavy bombers.”

The arms race that began during cold war through clandestine operations by the Superpowers – United States and the former Soviet Union then precipitated the translucent arms trade up until now.

New START Treaty facilitates nuclear arsenal verification on both sides particularly for the United States to perform inspection of the Russian site since the earlier START Treaty ended on December 5, 2009.

From the National Security standpoint – The Senate and White House claims on the New START Treaty are:

• Preserves a strong US nuclear arsenal as an effective strategic deterrent.

• Provides stability, predictability and transparency between the two largest
nuclear powers.

• Strengthens critical non-proliferation efforts around the world.

• Increases US ability to work with other countries to confront the nuclear
ambitions of countries like Iran and North Korea.

It also emphasized that New START Treaty ‘will not constrain U.S. missile defense capabilities’ – a position that was vigorously contested by some Republican members in the Senate.

Additionally, the treaty consists of the administration plan to invest $85 billion over ten year period in the U.S. nuclear facilities’ maintenance and upgrade.

The directors of the three nuclear laboratories viz. Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratory are stated to have appreciated the provision.

Any action to restrain nuclear and non-strategic armament is significant considering the prevalent loss of lives from the widespread violence emanating from inconspicuous arms trade and lack of oversight on uranium enrichment.

However, the peaceful existence of all relies on complete nuclear disarmament that was criticized during the contentious Senate debate from the conservative perspective.

What is not being realized in the denuclearization dismissal?

South Africa and the previous Soviet bloc nations like Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Belarus have voluntarily surrendered their nuclear weapons and submitted to IAEA certification setting precedence for others to follow suit.

These nations are part of the same world and continue to exist with their non-nuclear status challenging the political dogma against nuclear disarmament.

Nuclear power is falsely embraced as the formidable deterrent even though the inevitable retaliation could result in mutual annihilation proving the fact –

Reference – the pioneer of peace Mahatma Gandhi.

“An eye for an eye will make the world go blind.”

Hence, accelerating the course for nuclear-free planet is the viable solution to real peace in the long run.

Civilian nuclear program is presently popular with a dangerous potential for further enhancements to nuclear warheads.

The U.S. default on the controversial Iranian nuclear program jeopardize the disarmament and non-proliferation objectives in the sensitive zone – the Middle East.

Thank you.

Obama Set to Offer Stricter Nuclear Deal to Iran –

“The Obama administration and its European allies are preparing a new offer for negotiations with Iran on its nuclear program, senior administration officials say…

Gary Samore, Mr. Obama’s coordinator for countering unconventional weapons, told an audience at the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Washington last week that if Iran acquired a weapon, it “would have an utterly catastrophic effect” in the region.

If successful, Iran could drive other states in the Persian Gulf to seek their own nuclear weapons. An attack by Israel on Iran’s facilities, he added, could set off a regional war. Mr. Samore described stopping Iran’s program as his “No. 1 job.”

Several European officials have discouraged that approach. But they also worry that negotiating about the fate of uranium that Iran has enriched in violation of Security Council commands could have the effect of convincing the Iranians they could retain some of their enrichment capability at the end of any negotiation.

Mr. Obama’s campaign in 2008 said that would be unacceptable; as president, he has not addressed the question clearly.”

There is an urgent need for the nuclear and non-nuclear states regardless of NPT and CTBT membership to conform to rigid international rule imposing restrictions on advanced nuclear ambitions.

The double standards in nuclear technology deals create opportunity for violation and defeat the purpose behind treaty establishment.

Therefore the competition among developed nations on nuclear exchange for alternative energy in Asia and Middle East could inadvertently promote unwanted deviation from the intended engagement i.e. exclusive use for energy production.

Regrettably the nuclear energy is the dominant and highly desirable source in the bilateral trade and commerce with little or no attention towards safe natural elements such as wind, solar…for energy supply.

Only the paradigm shift in the nuclear concept could enable the effective containment eventually resulting in the elimination of nuclear weapons.

Again, the New START Treaty serving as the prototype for regional consensus could perhaps contribute to the ultimate goal.

Congratulations! To the honorable members in the United States Senate –

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman, Senator John Kerry and Senator Richard Lugar for the determination to succeed in this matter along with participation from the,

Chairwoman of the United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Senator Dianne Feinstein

And,

Chairman of the Senate Committee on Armed Services, Senator Carl Levin,

The Republican Senators for bipartisan cooperation,

United States Defense Force High Command for the valuable input

And,

President Barack Obama and the White House officials for the commitment in the crucial New START treaty ratification.

Thank you.
