War and Geo-Political Status 21st Century – The Ultimate Resolution
October 8, 2010
By Padmini Arhant
In the twenty first century, the war is interestingly waged in Islamic nations around the world.
Beginning with Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Palestinian Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem, Yemen, Chechnya, Somalia and Sudan with skirmishes in Central Asia as seen in the recent Kyrgyzstan with Uzbek Muslims largely massacred in ethnic violence –
Terrorism and insurgencies are the by-product of relentless warfare and foreign policies fostering political instability in turn exacerbating economic and social development.
The trend is prevalent to date.
Afghanistan – The former President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney started the war in 2001 declaring the terror mastermind Osama Bin Laden will be captured “dead or alive.”
Even the message resonated in the 2008 Presidential campaign with Senator John McCain as the Republican Presidential candidate pledging –
“I will follow Osama Bin Laden to the gates of hell.”
The Democratic Presidential candidate, the then Senator Barack Obama essentially repeated his predecessor’s rhetoric –
“Bush had earlier vowed to catch bin Laden “Dead or Alive,” and … “My preference obviously would be to capture or kill him. …”
We are in 2010 and the war is a decade old with tremendous loss of lives on all sides.
U.S and allies economy drained with the superfluous troops and financial investment, the troops’ low morale after continuous deployment and the public war fatigue at its peak,
Afghanistan today is still in the medieval age under the U.S. and NATO appointed Karzai administration that has been unanimously criticized for massive corruption and lack of direction in governance.
Meanwhile, Taliban leaders in Afghanistan are reportedly held hostage by the Pakistani military and ISI prohibiting them from initiating negotiations with the Afghan government to demonstrate Pakistani officials’ clout in the crisis.
Superseding these issues is the Al-Qaeda ring leader; Osama Bin Laden neither captured alive nor pronounced dead, a convenient situation to prolong the unsustainable war strategy.
If Osama Bin Laden is alive as it is claimed by the authorities, it raises the following questions:
Given the formidable U.S. and NATO forces in operation and the significant troops involvement since the war began in 2001, the severely incapacitated Osama Bin Laden remains at large according to the political and military high command.
Further, the White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel prior to his departure last week is quoted to have questioned the administration on this issue with a statement in sheer amazement.
“We are spending about $50 billion on intelligence and we still don’t know where Osama Bin Laden is?”
Despite CIA overt operation through para-military in Pakistan and the Pakistani intelligence provided with U.S. intelligence assistance, the mastermind Osama Bin Laden cannot be found in the all too familiar territories Afghanistan where the U.S. trained the Mujahedeen, prominently Osama Bin Laden who later created the terror network ‘Al-Qaeda,’ is;
Remarkably similar to the Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq that could never be found because it did not exist.
Any re-creation or resurrection accentuates the flaws due to the unauthentic replay leading to the fact that the scenario is ‘weapons of mass deception’ in the public eye.
Besides the former President George W. Bush family’s close ties with Osama Bin Laden’s immediate family is common knowledge and such relation enabled the Bin Laden family departure from the United States when all flights were grounded soon after 9/11.
Another compelling factor being Osama Bin Laden was not apprehended in Tora Bora even though the armed personnel requested for the former President George W. Bush, the Supreme Commander- in- Chief’s order for action.
These events were legitimized by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the terror experts, the media reports and cited by Senator John McCain during his Presidential bid.
The strange predicament being Osama Bin Laden is wanted “dead or alive,” and when there were opportunities to capture the terror leader, the executive order was not delivered to the armed forces to attain the goal.
Terror warnings are being issued claiming that Osama Bin Laden is preparing to wreak havoc in Europe like he did in Mumbai that took place on November 26, 2008, even though this particular terror activity was directly linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba and acknowledged by the assassin;
“Ajmal Kasab, the only attacker who was captured alive, disclosed that the attackers were members of Lashkar-e-Taiba, the Pakistan-based militant organization. He said the attackers came from Pakistan, and their controllers were in Pakistan.”
Osama Bin Laden is continually used in the possible terror attacks and claimed as the primary target in the war on terror with no news regarding his whereabouts and sources except during the terror alerts surfacing upon Osama Bin Laden reference by the peace activists.
It’s crucial to resolve this issue once and for all considering the brave young men and women in uniform are deployed to supposedly eliminate Al-Qaeda and find Osama Bin Laden in the mission that began in 2001.
Many service men and women are serving for nearly a decade with some redeployed after having been in Iraq for four to five years. Most of these courageous frontline soldiers sacrificed in the on-going war are in the age group between 19 – 21 years old and have barely experienced life.
If a 29 year old private sergeant is killed in action after serving in Iraq and Afghanistan for twelve straight years and survived by his young pregnant spouse and a toddler and the war agenda is still a mystery then it becomes necessary to find out,
What exactly are we doing in these battle grounds?
As per the latest CIA report, along the Pakistan-Afghan border – Waziristan, there are fewer than one hundred Al-Qaeda members and negligible Taliban forces compared to U.S representation around 120,000 troops with NATO alliance.
Regardless the world’s most powerful by far the sophisticated U.S. and NATO contingency with all the imaginable resources at their disposal are experiencing difficulty over nine years in seizing the fractional terror members with inferior ammunition is astonishing for it defies logic.
Therefore, if the military commanders in the best interest of the troops, the nation and the international community could unequivocally clarify on the precise mission in Afghanistan and particularly, present the facts on Osama Bin Laden it would be enormously helpful in the decisions related to ongoing wars and defense spending during legislation and election.
Above all, the Afghan population deserves the truth for they are severely dispensed with their family generations wiped out in the ceaseless conflict.
If the Al-Qaeda leader is alive, it shouldn’t be harder to locate with the intelligence dragnet across the globe perhaps within twenty four to forty eight hours and brought to justice.
Alternatively, it would be honorable to declassify the classified public information and submit the verifiable facts on the Al-Qaeda leaders’ death.
As for all issues concerning the military operation, the President of the United States being the Supreme Commander-in-Chief bears complete responsibility.
The defense and the national security team are accountable to the President – responsible for the troop level authorization, withdrawal timeline and final approval on war strategies.
In the Afghan war, the information on the ultimate authority in the decision-making process is not clear.
While it is being maintained that there is disconnect and discord between the military and the civilian exchange on operational matter and that the President is not briefed on vital military positions such as the actual troop numbers by the top security adviser and military command,
It is suggested that any dissatisfaction in the Afghan war status quo should be attributed to the military command and not the civilian authority, the President of the United States who is also incidentally, the Commander-in-Chief.
This is contradictory to the latest occurrence that involved the military’s top ranking official
Gen. Stanley McChrystal, removed by the President of the United States for ‘off-the’ record comment about the administration, revealing the authority in control.
Now in the expansive military role especially in Afghanistan and Pakistan taking horrendous toll on human lives and economic costs, the ambiguity in management as to,
“Who is calling the shots,” is rather disturbing and,
Require clarification to the armed forces and their families including the taxpayers footing the expense for the extravagant and uncertain adventure.
In that context, the exclusive secret meetings held for the selective members belonging to nexus organization apparently to discuss global economic health and the general humanitarian issues with the press and public debarred from participation is unsettling based on the discussions being related to the world population and not any private individual matter.
In fact, the nature of such gathering by the privileged members – selective heads of the state, corporate leaders and military command, a majority representing democratic societies alienating the voice of democracy – the communication media and the public is undemocratic not to mention the forum failing to meet transparency and accountability.
These meetings where the Presidential candidates as the future leader of the ‘free world’ prior to being approved by the electorate are summoned inconspicuously defying the press and denying access to the democratic process in itself is a serious credibility factor and beckons legitimate reasons on the definitive purpose.
It’s imperative to highlight the security measures taken during these sessions reflecting the twentieth century pre-world war II characteristics in the twenty first century causing frustration among the members in the society from various discipline gravely concerned about the abnormal clandestine consortium.
The public opinion upon revelation on the political, economic, corporate media and military institutional assembly behind closed doors to map out global direction is;
If it is conducted to benefit humanity then it is commendable and praiseworthy.
But then, why not hold them in public view and elaborate on the objectives to the republics’ complete satisfaction eliminating any doubts on the validity of the futuristic aspirations.
In conclusion, the fulcrum power has two immediate priorities to stabilize the deteriorating global environment predominantly due to incessant warfare and undemocratic principles adopted in the universal policies targeting humanity.
Disclosure on Osama Bin Laden and dismantling secret organizations – the deafening silence thus far proved detrimental to human progress in every frontier.
Any reluctance to conform or evasion through false propaganda and negative attacks would categorically confirm the “Who is Who” and the intrinsic aspects of –
‘The New World Order’ inevitably setting itself for a disastrous end.
Humanity thrives with consolidated contributions benefiting all and not a ‘specific society’ in the globalization concept.
Peace and perseverance to make this world a better place for all inhabitants is the natural path to prosperity.
Thank you.

War and Geo-Political Status 20th Century
October 7, 2010
By Padmini Arhant
The global economy is still far from recovery and most nations are dealing with austerity, Europe in particular much against their population will.
Meanwhile, among them an overwhelming majority have disproportionate defense budget that is not targeted in the spending cuts. United States has an exceptionally higher defense expenditure that is invariably passed with bipartisan approval regardless of the political party in power.
Whereas, the other life threatening issues concerning jobs, health care, social security, housing…are usually subjective to filibuster and marginalization at the worst resulting in a meaningless final product.
The contemporary society is currently confronted with the so-called war on terror. Although terrorism took birth in the twentieth century predominantly through Middle East conflicts, it escalated in the twenty first century with 9/11 becoming the premise for relentless warfare fomenting terrorism seeing no end in sight.
After two world wars to contain imperialism, fascism and ‘Great Depression,’ the expectation among the international community was long lasting peaceful environment with the governments focused on alleviating poverty, hunger and disease contributing to a healthy habitat for all living beings.
Subsequently the United Nations Charter was created with the U.N. Security Council formation comprising the five nations – United States, United Kingdom, Russia, China and France maintaining the status quo until now, despite the titanic shift in the economic realm over the latter part of the twentieth century leading till date.
The authorities then in power with the responsibility to establish peace and harness diplomatic relations, instead steered in the opposite direction with communism rising in the former Soviet Union, Germany in the West and the entire Eastern Europe as well as China influencing South East Asia.
It’s noteworthy that the arms race proliferated rather than being terminated at the end of world wars with the United States and the then Soviet union followed by the remaining Security Council members successfully conducting their nuclear test that empowered them as the largest nuclear arsenal holders and continue to remain so.
Further, the U.N. Security Council members’ illegal invasions and occupations in the aftermath of the world wars proceeded throughout the twentieth and now into the twenty first century with certain occupied territories annexed as the regional state again at the prevailing horrendous humanitarian plight such as Tibet, Palestinian territories and the disputed regions in the Middle East and elsewhere.
The cold war between the two major powers – the United States and the Soviet Union vying for ‘Super Power’ status caused the ‘United Nations’ to split with the two contenders choosing partners conciliatory to their respective political positions at that time.
In the sixties, it is also well known that the cold war brought the two major powers on the brink of nuclear confrontation with the Cuban Missile crisis.
Notwithstanding the Korean War notably the significant armed Cold War conflict with the reunification negotiations eventually evolved into a proxy war sponsored by the three U.N. Security Council members – the U.S., Soviet Union and China.
The infamous Vietnam War spreading to the neighboring Cambodia and Laos certainly aroused the anti-war sentiments in the United States and around the world at its peak but it did not necessarily deter the wars in Africa, Latin America, Central Asia and the Middle East with the United States and the other permanent U.N. Security Council members involved in almost all of them either directly or indirectly as the arms supplier including the combat forces viz. Afghanistan on the ground.
Increased military aid to Indonesia in 1977 at the height of the East Timorese massacre produced more than one-third i.e. around 200,000 East Timor population deaths in war related starvation, disease and atrocities.
Likewise in 1978 the military aid to Central America against the Sandinistas in Nicaragua and similar assistance to El Salvador compounded the regional turmoil with incredible loss of lives from brutal killings.
In 1979, the U.S. tax payers’ approximately $40 billion dollars investment to train Mujahedeen in Afghanistan generated Osama Bin Laden.
Arguably, the United States footprints in Latin America and Middle East are comparatively prominent with the other members concentrating in their region, Central Asia and Africa.
However, the genocide from the civil wars in Africa through the permanent U.N. Security Council members’ arms trade and distribution was entirely ignored since 1991 and up until now – such as the Democratic Republic of Congo referred to as ‘African World War,’ Burundi, Rwanda earlier on, and Darfur, Sudan.
It’s imperative to mention Haiti during the Democratic and Republican administrations’ at the White House going back to 1977 when agreements were made to decline Haitian refugees asylum claims and between 1990 and up until now – the Democratically elected popular leader Jean Bertrand Aristide indefinitely exiled in South Africa.
The combined powerful U.S.and NATO forces delayed intervention in Bosnia, Herzegovina or for that matter regrettable deliberation on Rwanda rescue operation could be regarded worthwhile, leaving other missions a territorial conquest and/or an economic interest.
It’s obvious that the military industrial complex war strategy is the same with the players alternated between the two major political parties in the United States and the trend replicated in other western democracies as the permanent U.N. Security council members.
Twentieth century wars fought in the regions desperately seeking economic and social development were categorically denied the opportunities to merge with the rest of the world converting those nations into a fertile ground for terror recruitment.
Therefore, the cyclical violence is a revenue source for the conventional and the nuclear weapons industry at the horrendous loss of lives and economic cost.
That raises many questions surrounding the wars and the global community priority in the tough economic times. They are evaded with no logical explanation often confirming the doubts in the public mind.
The war architects owe the domestic and international citizenry evidence based legitimate reason for the decade old conflicts severely affecting the weak and the vulnerable in the so-called war on terror.
Thank you.

Peace Dawns on Palestine and Israel – Two States Solution
September 2, 2010
By Padmini Arhant
There is potential for a breakthrough in the ongoing Palestinian and Israeli meeting in Washington D.C.
The issue has received worldwide attention with several mediation attempts by the U.S. Presidents, European leaders and humanitarians from different nations in the past six decades.
People on both sides have suffered enormous casualties –
The rocket firing, suicide bombings including the recent killing of the Jewish settlers in Hebron, West Bank and,
On the other side – The military intervention with heavy artillery shelling against the Palestinians in Gaza, while the West Bank and East Jerusalem citizens denied normal existence through check posts, strong defense presence and above all the contentious settlement expansion in the Palestinian territories.
These actions inflicting pain and agony on each other are deeply regrettable with innocent civilians being the victims in the quagmire.
After years of unsuccessful negotiations, Palestinian and Israeli authorities’ willingness to recognize the two states solution is encouraging.
Although there are justified grievances on the prevalent attacks and disruption in daily life, the mainstream population in the respective states desire peaceful co-existence with mutual respect for sovereignty and national security.
In fact, the forces in opposition to peace are essentially against their own people and the nation they represent. The parallel provocation through violence and settlements promotes the proponents’ personal ideology and hinder the pragmatic course for peace.
Palestinians have been seeking independence for more than half a century and were not effectively led by the PLO in the initial phase due to the ‘intifadas,’ premised on ‘armed struggle,’ rather than peace and diplomacy. However, it was acknowledged later and now vigorously pursued by Fatah in the West Bank under Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and President Mahmoud Abbas leaderships.
On the Israeli side, the political leaderships’ earnest decisions for reconciliation thwarted by the hard liners’ overwhelming influence to embrace aggression and expand settlements that is proved detrimental largely affecting Israel’s image and credibility as a viable peace partner.
The violent retaliations became the bedrock for terrorism and enabled the peace opponents to gain political power in Gaza. As a result the beleaguered Gazans are currently held hostage in the political dilemma.
Considering the preconditions on both sides, the issues deserve fair evaluation.
Palestinian expectations apart from an independent state is predominantly focused on settlement freeze, Israeli troop withdrawal, border demarcation, Palestinian expatriates’ right to return and East Jerusalem as the state capital.
It’s in Israel’s best interest to accommodate the Palestinian requests and relinquish the territories held since 1967. Israel can then invest the resources for national growth and the armed personnel to safeguard its own borders.
Further, Israeli policies on the Palestinians right to return and Jewish settlements in West Bank, East Jerusalem would ultimately impact the settlers as the inevitable minorities given the evolving demography.
For instance, the documented population figure for 2005 in Golan Heights was 38,900 (in the Israeli-occupied part) 79,000 (in the Syrian- controlled part) and likely to be exponentially higher in 2010.
Even the one state proposal through settlement occupation would render Israeli citizens the minority status in the near future for similar reasons.
Therefore, Israel’s sovereignty and the majority rights are intact in Israel’s land prior to 1967 invasion.
With respect to Gaza, Israel’s concerns are understandable. Again the stark contrast in economic progress between West Bank at an impressive 11% growth in the last quarter and the lack luster Gaza economy under Hamas would lead the Gaza residents to a political transformation in the upcoming elections.
Palestinians in Gaza could democratically bring about the change for their own economic prosperity and political freedom. The choice is clear for them to renounce the militant statehood under Hamas and adopt the Fayyad-Abbas governance prospering on the democratic principles by maintaining peaceful relationship with Israel.
Israel’s sovereignty and security is the major factor – peace with independent Palestine would guarantee the global assurance in that regard. International support broadens the horizon for Israel in strengthening political and economic ties with nations other than the United States viz. Turkey, Arab neighbors and other democracies disappointed with the latest developments in Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem.
Any threats to Israel or Palestine would constitute a regional security issue with an appropriate global response.
The coalition members in the Israeli political system might challenge the initiatives as seen earlier.
Israel upon reflection would realize that living in peace is bliss compared to the eternal warfare and the lingering insecurity over the piece of land that has caused immense misery all around.
Not to mention the generational decline particularly the youth population – Israel and Palestine’s hope for a new beginning.
What belongs to Israel will remain with Israel and likewise for Palestine i.e. West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem, the Palestinian state capital. Extending the same strategy on Golan heights with Syria would place Israel in a favorable situation as a thriving democracy that honors legitimacy in territorial disputes.
Israel and Palestine can foster a good relationship built on trust and ability to set their differences aside for a long lasting peace and security.
There is tremendous opportunity to exchange resources facilitating trade and commerce between free Palestine and democratic Israel.
People in Israel and Palestine have endured traumatic experience from the conflict. It’s time to move forward and let peace dawn on the region with a pledge to a bright future for all.
Good Luck and Best Wishes to President Barack Obama, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian leaderships – President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, President Hosni Mubarak and King Abdullah for a successful peace process.
Thank you.

The Freedom Flotilla Crisis – Exacerbating Israeli-Palestinian Peace Process
June 2, 2010
By Padmini Arhant
Israel is in spotlight for the recent intervention of the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara originally scheduled to deliver humanitarian aid directly to the beleaguered Palestinian population in Gaza.
According to the worldwide reports, the Israeli Navy commandos stormed the ‘Freedom Flotilla,’ that was carrying humanitarian essentials like medical supplies, equipments, children’s toys other than cement and building materials on board to help the Gazans rebuild the enclave that has been under siege in the ongoing Israeli Palestinian conflict.
As a result, per IBA – Israel Broadcast Authority at least 15 international activists on the Turkish cruise liner have died and several including around seven Israeli soldiers are wounded from the skirmish,
That prompted the U.N. Security Council to convene an emergency session to express concern and regrets over the loss of lives in the clash between the Israeli forces and the Pro-Palestinian activists.
Israel’s blockade on Gaza subsequent to the 2008 Gaza invasion is claimed by Israel as a territorial trade embargo to weaken the Palestinian authority, Hamas and prohibit conventional weapons importation into Gaza from Iran, Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria.
While Israel has adopted these measures to deter the possible arms shipment from its adversaries in the region, the joint display by Israel and its strongest ally, U.S. on October 22, 2009,
Titled –“Juniper Cobra 2009 – Reports stated that:
“U.S. and Israel conducted massive missile defense drills to create the world’s most sophisticated anti-missile umbrella to protect the Jewish State,”
Further, it emphasized that:
“Unlike past Juniper Cobras, this one will employ the widest spectrum of missile defense assets yet, including the US’s Aegis BMD ships, Patriot PAC-3 batteries, THAAD batteries, the mobile X-Band radar currently stationed in the Negev, and Israel’s own Arrow 2 batteries. Interoperability between allied systems is the main goal.”
United States does have a small military garrison at a strategic radar, X-band, stationed in Israel’s southern Negev desert.
“The Israel Defense Force can defend Israel alone,” Gavish said. “But it is good to know that U.S. capabilities are available.”
Despite the unflinching U.S. military aid to Israel and its nuclear capability, the Israeli policies against the Palestinian population under the “national security,” pretext in the Gaza war and,
Now in the Freedom flotilla raid is characteristic of the twentieth century Imperialism promoted into the twenty first century – through illegal invasion, occupation, oppression, persecution and denial of basic human rights in the modern civilization.
Israel’s persisting provocative actions in this instant along with Jewish settlements expansion in Palestinian territories, refusal to comply with international humanitarian law including the Geneva Convention violation as detailed in the “Goldstone Report,” are responsible for Israel’s self-inflicted insecurity.
Ironically, not long ago, Israel found an ally in Hamas when they both were implicated in the ‘Goldstone report,’ much to the frustration and disappointment of the West Bank authority – Fatah leader and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, in their successful attempt to evade the potential trial for war crimes by the offenders in the international court of justice.
Thus, proving that “politics finds strange partners.”
It’s apparent that the innocent civilians in Palestine and Israel were victims in the Gaza war with the perpetrators on both sides forging alliance to prevent prosecution in the U.N. sponsored investigation.
The independent investigation in the Freedom flotilla deaths and the Goldstone report on Gaza war deserve to be honored and executed.
Nevertheless, the Palestinian plight in the past six decades and their struggle for an independent state is nearing end due to the increased international awareness and solidarity to liberate Palestine from Israel.
Israel is at the crossroads amid widespread global disdain for the systemic abuse of power against Palestinians.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the hard line Likud Party coalition partners advocating anti-democratic doctrine fail to recognize the mirage in the occupied land.
History is testimony to the fact that colonization eventually leads to emancipation.
Israeli check posts, blockades, military aggression, settlements has consumed the moderate and the conservative powers’ time and resources leaving Israel in self-bondage without truly experiencing the independent statehood granted in 1948.
Israel is perceived to exist in the shadow of the staunch supporter, the United States, in spite of the great many attributes within not optimized to attain peace and harmony with the fellow human beings – the Palestinians.
Rather than adopting the ‘Live and let Live,’ maxim, the prolonged annexation of boundaries from 1967 to until now has generated acrimony, bloodshed and perennial border disputes among Israel and Arab neighbors.
By enduring the generational loss in the quest for freedom that has sadly remained a fantasy among the young and the old on the Palestinian side and similarly the Israeli side deprived of normal existence from the fear of being attacked, the two-fold tragedy has a simple solution.
Signing the Israel and Palestinian Peace Treaty as outlined on several occasions.
1. Complete withdrawal of Israeli settlers and the military base from all Palestinian territories including the occupied peripheral lands since 1967.
2. Palestine is to be internationally recognized as a sovereign nation with East Jerusalem as the Capital for the independent state.
3. The policy restricting Palestinians the right to return to Israel would conversely apply to the Jewish settlers and Israeli citizens on the Palestinian land. Similar reciprocation applies to Prime Minister Netanyahu’s insistence to call Israel the ‘Jewish’ state.
Therefore, it’s very important to weigh the pros and cons of the harsh terms and conditions being imposed by the powerful against the powerless to avoid the inevitable backlash from such extemporaneous demands.
4. Palestinian and Arab nation’s reaffirmation of Israel as a sovereign nation in the Middle East along with a solemn oath to disavow violence in the form of suicide bombings, rocket firing and last but not the least any nuclear threats against Israel.
5. Free flow of Economic and Humanitarian aid to Palestine for reconstruction purpose, to commence effective immediately without Israeli authority intrusion.
6. Evidently, the International community seeks equal support from the United States and other economic powers to both Israel and Palestine to reflect fairness in the deal.
Finally, it’s imperative and incumbent on the U.S., the U.N.,the EU and the Arab league to be honest brokers in implementing the Peace Treaty to restore credibility in resolving international problems.
Palestinians and Israelis are entitled to a long lasting peace and a bright future. It’s time to set the differences aside and reconcile terms with reality that,
Future is determined by the present as time and tide waits for none.
The burden lies more on Israel as the occupying power in setting the corner stone for peaceful resolution in the age-old conflict.
Thank you.

Happy 62nd Anniversary to the State of Israel!
April 22, 2010
By Padmini Arhant
The State of Israel celebrated its 62nd birth anniversary on April 21, 2010.
It’s a joyous occasion and a great moment in history. Israel is a sovereign state with a democratic system.
The twentieth century holocaust, a horrendous crime against humanity led to the creation of the Israeli state.
Israel is an economic partner and a strategic ally of the United States as well as many nations in Europe and other parts of the world.
Israel’s relationship in the Arab world has been understandably restricted to the regions.
Israel’s cordial relationship with Egypt and Jordan are the result of peace treaty and diplomacy between them for a long time.
Similarly, Israel should forge the peace process by completely freezing the Jewish settlements in West Bank and East Jerusalem and,
Move forward with the negotiations on the two state agreements to help their neighbor, Palestinians secure an independent Palestine.
Israel has a unique opportunity to be the beacon of light in securing freedom and democracy in the Middle East by paving the way for Palestine.
That way Israel would be remembered in history for the peace establishment.
Congratulations! To Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the people of Israel for their accomplishments and contributions towards various progress in Israel and the rest of the world.
Happy 62nd anniversary to the State of Israel.
Thank you.

Welcome to a New Era!
April 12, 2010
By Padmini Arhant
Dear Fellow Americans and Citizens of the World,
This morning a major decision was made to allow the smooth transition of Executive Power in the Oval Office.
It was done in order to move forward in achieving the domestic and international goals.
There are far too many challenges to deal with, here at home and abroad.
Beginning with politics, economics, health care, education, social issues, energy, environment, national and global security are the main issues.
In the United States, the economy and the health care legislation require fixing. There is an urgent need to expedite the job recovery and simultaneously revive the slow housing market.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the March unemployment rate remained at 9.7 percent with the number of unemployed persons at 15.0 million.
Of this data, the long term unemployed appears to have increased by 414,000 over to 6.5 million. Further, in March alone 44.1 percent have been unemployed for 27 weeks or more.
This is a difficult situation for the American families and the economy.
Extending the unemployment benefits along with resurrecting the manufacturing base, energize the small business and retail outlets including tax incentives to corporations should provide a reasonable relief to the job market.
The housing market experiencing foreclosures and credit crunch require immediate attention with credit flow and effective strategies to reverse the trend.
Therefore, the American families can retain their home values and for most of them, it would be the loan adjustment programs allowing them to make affordable payments in order to stay in their homes.
Both job and housing markets are dependent on credit supply.
The financial sector is due for a financial reform with the re-enactment of Glass Steagall Act along with an independent consumer rights agency to monitor the home loans, credit card and other retail transactions.
Reducing national deficit and fiscal responsibility will be a primary objective.
A thorough review of the financial market is essential to implement the regulations to protect the consumer, investor and the taxpayer from any future bailouts.
Health care legislation will be amended to conform with the ‘Medicare for all,’ Single Payer System and the necessary reform for the private industry to coexist as detailed in the ‘Universal Health Care’ article recently.
Education will be reviewed to address the funding status in terms of salaries to attract highly qualified teaching staff, school supplies and better facilities, curriculum to assist K-12 students in becoming more competitive at the local and international level.
Focus on Science, Math, Arts, languages, sports will be a priority including programs for students with special needs.
College education fees revised for the students from low-income families and federal grants for research and development to the state run institutions with an investment value return.
Social issues would involve immigration, gay rights; focus on improving poorer neighborhoods and community services, early child centers and senior citizens services to be renewed with an identifiable revenue source to fund the programs.
Energy Policy – Clean renewable energy will be pursued – Solar, wind, hydro thermal notwithstanding bio fuel to supplement the varying demand.
Environment – The Mexico summit in 2010 is crucial for the global nations to accomplish the COP15 agenda and other environmental issues.
National and Global Security – Troop withdrawals from Iraq and Afghanistan along with military budget divestments to Peace Corps and diplomacy will precede the extraordinary military budget consumption.
The national and global security issues – A departure from the activities since 2000-2010 on torture, overseas rendition, Guantanamo bay etc. in compliance with the humanitarian law.
High value terror related sources would be verified and structured accordingly to meet with the national as well as international security.
Socio-economic investments in the regions susceptible to terror recruitment will replace the military expenditure.
Economic aid to Africa, Middle East, Latin America, Asia and Island nations will be promoted.
Foreign Policy:
Israeli-Palestinian Peace Treaty – Independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine. Palestine and Arab nations’ agreement on recognition of Israeli sovereignty and security. Freezing settlements and return of land to Palestine in the Palestinian territory.
Iran and North Korea – Strategic dialogues initiated with the governments. Efforts in outreaching the population of these countries by exchanging cultural, educational and travel activities would vastly improve the political situation.
Cuba – Dialogue and diplomacy with the Cuban government. Extending round trip travel for U.S. residents and the families in Cuba. Eliminate the trade embargo as it hurts the population more than the power.
Latin America – Democracy will always be favored over military regimes and repressive governments. Military base in these regions is to be withdrawn to ease tensions within borders.
Brazil – It’s an emerging economic power and a regional force in Latin America. There is hope and optimism in the relationship between the United States and Brazil.
Mexico – The drug related violence would be addressed by prohibiting the arms supply from the United States.
United Kingdom – The partner in the Afghan and Iraq war. The U.K and the U.S share a vision on many issues. Exchange intelligence information to safeguard global security and maintain the formidable unity between the two nations.
Russia – It is promising. U.S and Russia along with other nuclear powers should arrive at a consensus on complete nuclear disarmament.
Europe – Healthy relationship will continue and work together on economy, environment and energy policies.
Japan – Strong economic ties and strategic partnership to resolve the North Korean nuclear and political standoff in the Korean peninsula.
South Korea – Warm friendly relations reflected in economic trade, political and cultural exchange.
China – Beijing has been conciliatory on the currency value adjustment. It’s enormously encouraging.
However, fair trade practices towards foreign corporations could enhance the bilateral economic prospects.
Human rights issues in China and Independence for Tibet will commence shortly as part of the planetary preparation to form free nations on earth. I look forward to Beijing leaders’ positive reaction.
India – Many opportunities are on the horizon. Economic, environment, nuclear disarmament, energy and educational ties could mutually benefit the two popular democracies. Regional security in the Indian sub-continent and the Indo-China border would be a dominant issue.
Nepal – The nation at the Himalayan foothill should form a democratic government and not desire a communist system even in a coalition as it had experienced the political unrest from it. Nepal is a tourist attraction for the American tourists.
Pakistan – Similar relationship with that of India. Transform warfare into peace through investments in economic, social and educational projects. Collaborate on eradicating terrorism and share resources for common security.
Afghanistan – President Hamid Karzai’s administration has to disavow corruption and make the government more transparent. Peace with Taliban fighters willing to disarm is a good approach. It has to be a long-term commitment. Afghan government must start working on the economy and the infrastructure.
It’s understandable that it cannot make progress with the war on the Afghan soil. That’s why the troop withdrawal will be a priority beginning this year.
President Karzai should repeal the non-consensual consummation law against women and allocate funding for social advancement to uplift the women’s status. Nation building with international aid is the fundamental step towards progress.
Central Asia – Trade and economic cooperation in the region would be mutually beneficial.
Sri Lanka – The ethnic Tamil population and other minority groups deserve equal economic, educational and social rights particularly the political representation in the Sri Lankan Parliament.
Burma – Democracy is the preferred system by the Burmese population and the military junta should release the pro-democracy leader Ang Sang Suu Kyi for her participation in the national election. Burmese people have suffered long enough. It’s time for them to be free and lead the nation to the twenty first century.
Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam – The U.S relationship with all of these nations is solid and has a great potential to grow in many areas.
South Africa – An economic, cultural, environment and a peace partner with the United States. South Africa is the regional leader in Africa. There are lots to look forward to with the young democratic nation.
Rest of Africa – Renunciation of civil wars, military regimes and corruption is earmarked for the African nations. No more political instability and investments in conventional arms. Instead, African countries will be assisted to become the self-sufficient and economically vibrant region.
Middle East:
Saudi Arabia – Will continue to remain a strong ally of the United States.
The coalition government in Iraq with Sunni representation is important for the region. The United States and Saudi Arabia need to collaborate in helping Yemen economically that would alleviate the Yemeni plight and perhaps end the internal political turmoil. Moreover, the terror networks might find it hard to hire young recruits in a better economy.
Jordan – A great friend and an ally of the United States. The mutual aspiration to see a Palestinian state is imminent. Jordan’s economic and political partnership with the United States is poised for a continuous success.
Egypt – Is another vital representative and a key player in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
United States and Egypt go back a long way in the political remaking of the Middle East.
Like other nations, the people in Egypt yearn for freedom of expression and a free and fair election. Egypt could probably transcend the current system to enable the people rejoice their newfound liberty in the next election.
Iraq – Is unique like a phoenix. The latest general election dispute should be settled without any violence and the secular coalition government is the ideal political solution to bring peace to Iraq. United States troop withdrawal in 2010 would normalize the people’s existence in Iraq.
Syria and Lebanon – U.S. could have fresh diplomatic ties with both nations. At the same time, it’s best for Israel, Syria and Lebanon to reconcile the differences and aim for a peaceful beginning.
Peace is attainable with peace seekers perseverance.
UAE & Bahrain, Qatar and the Rest of the Middle East:
Economic ties and military cooperation with all of these nations are good. Much to anticipate in the long run.
Australia – The land of OZ is a beautiful country with common democratic principles. Environment, nuclear disarmament, renewable energy, trade and commerce create tremendous outcome for both U.S and Australia.
New Zealand – United States and New Zealand could become leading partners in green technology and explore other trade partnerships.
All other island nations across the globe – Each one of you are equally important and the United States will work with you to resolve the environmental threats you face in the rapidly changing climate. We should strive to reach an agreement during the Mexico summit in 2010. In addition, the U.S. will coordinate efforts in the economic, energy and all other fronts.
I welcome you all to a new era. I request that we put our differences aside and work together in harmony for a peaceful, brighter and prosperous world.
We must reject war for peace. Let there be freedom for all with none held against their will.
As the earth’s inhabitants, we have individual responsibility to preserve the habitat for eternal life.
We can make it possible collectively in appreciation of nature’s gift to humanity.
May God bless all and the Planet Earth.
Thank you.

The Powerful Truth
April 12, 2010
By Padmini Arhant
Ever since the health care legislation bill was analyzed and presented on this website, democracy has been suppressed by powerful forces represented in the highest office through false propaganda by media and press corps including the nation’s so-called liberal magazine against Truth.
The obituary for Truth published in the newspapers through innuendo against the evidence of its existence is oxymoron, if not unscrupulous.
Again, for the record – Truth is well, alive, and more determined than ever to prove the purity and sanctity of its element.
When one has nothing to hide and is honest, open and completely transparent – the vehemently opposed ethical practice in contemporary politics, the deadly carcinogens polluting the minds beyond salvation consider Truth as a major threat to their diabolical means.
Often those who judge others on the premise of disparaging information provided by those in Power against truthful dissent ought to turn inward and question their own morality prior to voluntarily reaching the lowest ebb in journalism and/or theatrical performance via skits and movies on the specific overseas vile television network.
Is news being reported to inform public or entertain them by transforming their magazine or program to a cheap tabloid and a desperate source of concocted lies to appease those in power with nuclear arsenal?
If it’s the latter, then it’s doomed to fail on complicity with authority’s flagrance allegation of debauchery against Truth.
Any honorable individual would confront the facts and take responsibility for their wrong doings rather than indulging in character assassination of Truth.
As for the alleged cover up in the health care scandal – any incident political and otherwise propagated in the selective nation’s so-called liberal magazine and the public funded network in the name of Free Speech,
The Bible – King James Version: John 1:47
“Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!”
I present the unequivocal facts about my involvement going back to the political campaign of the candidate –
Senator Barack Hussein Obama and his spouse Michelle Obama.
a. 1608, William Shakespeare, King Lear, II, II, 102.
“I know, sir, I am no flatterer: he that beguiled you, in a plain accent.”
Beginning with my personal life, I was nurtured with the value to earn respect and not demand it.
My Principle – Rise to glory through your noble deeds that you can share with all.
Regarding the unsubstantiated allegation of debauchery – I wish to state that chastity and morality is revealed in the human conduct.
When the guilty accuses the truth finder of debauchery for exposing the factual Presidential scandal it’s a confirmation of the accuser’s personal experience.
My personal life is no longer personal and subject to the triviality of –
‘She is anyone’s guess and a fair game indeed.’
Accordingly, the self promoted moral guardians of the society consider their prerogative to target the woman who is a mother, sister, daughter…in family relations.
More importantly, a human being committed to the sanctity of spiritual call by accepting God’s will.
I bear none other than the Almighty God witness to this truth.
Never mind about the fact that she too has a family.
The passion, dedication, sacrifices made thus far for humanitarian issues is presumed a sheer exhibition on the world stage, despite enormous benefits to those responsible for the caricature.
Further on chastity and morality issue:
The irony is the purveyors of physical pleasure (the flesh trade) are denigrated by those contributing to the establishment.
What does one call trading human trust for profit and self-interest in today’s politics?
If morality and ethical norm is patented by those holding the power mantel, then it’s incumbent upon them to demonstrate through action.
After all, isn’t action believable than rhetoric?
Reverting to the political involvement that began in January through April 2008 – then September 2008- until March 2010.
I was approached by the candidate Senator Barack Obama via email, subsequent to my first time political donation in life – an amount $25.00.
From then onwards, I had repeat requests from then Senator Barack Obama, his spouse Michelle Obama and other prominent Democratic Party members to volunteer for the campaign and make regular donations.
The endless course literally led me to financial bankruptcy serving the beneficiaries not only in political gains but also material for mockery of my difficult monetary status.
The email requests were periodically published on the website including my responses.
I adopted the policy of transparency and accountability from day one of the Presidential election campaign and advocated vigorously in that regard.
On all issues pertaining to political, economic, social and environment matter, I emphasized on ethical efficacy conspicuously abandoned in the political capital, Washington D.C. where decisions concerning millions of lives across the globe are made.
I routinely submitted the communication with all political entities via World Wide Web for public view and understanding of the issues that are imperative to global community.
All my ideas, suggestions and strategies were presented on the web site and were addressed to the authorities for implementation.
However, they were selectively neglected on both domestic and international issues. The ones that were adopted like the economic stimulus and the job bill assumed the administration’s titles.
I deplored the pork barrel or earmark spending in the stimulus bill through the blogpost upon identifying the items in the news report.
Any communication from the President of the United States and the Democratic Party were strictly related to campaign donations, rallying for the candidates and complaints about the opposition attacks.
The communication was published on the website and available for public review.
I unsubscribed to the email from the President Barack Obama, the administration and the campaign in early October 2009.
The reason being, it had only instructions to energize the public on health care, energy legislation asking constituents to contact their local representatives without providing any details on the bill.
I learned about the components from the news report published in my local newspaper, on-line news publications and television broadcast.
My communication was always relayed through the website, for which there was no response.
I was not privy to the White House and/or the Congress members’ dealings and discussions with any interest groups in Wall Street, Washington and elsewhere.
My information source on legislative matter and the political affairs was solely through local and international news reports available in print and public news media.
As stated earlier, I was never hired by the White House, the Democratic Party, corporations, any groups or agencies intimately or remotely affiliated or associated to political members or authorities in Washington, Wall Street or anywhere in the World.
I was constantly approached for mandatory service without pay as the political aide by the Obama campaign and then the administration in getting the Democrats elected to Congress and never briefed or detailed on the nature of any developments on the legislations or administration’s policies.
I worked since January 2008 and until now without any payments or benefits.
Now, there are false rumors about me claiming unemployment benefit, which is absurd and completely distorted. I’ve never been on any unemployment benefit.
At the same time floating the fictitious narrative on me as super wealthy to drown any other candidate.
A Super wealthy collecting unemployment benefit alongside! Obviously, they were attributing own practice to feel better.
Then the comedy satire insinuating bipolar disease, acute mental illness and the continuous slander thereafter to show their loyalty to political class is nothing more than own mirror reflection.
Perhaps, the notion is that Brown Foreigners are not supposed to eat. They don’t need a home and maintain a modest existence by being able to pay their utility bills, transportation needs, and provide for their family.
My explicit request to President Barack Obama on my precise role in the administration or the Democratic Party following the influx of donation reminders had no response to that until date.
I regularly clarified my position with President Barack Obama in 2009 and 2010 through the website, that I was unwilling to be a cheerleader of policies against public interest and refused to be an attack dog for the administration at any time.
I had no previous knowledge about the distant period setting and the health bill negotiations between the White House and their special interest allies.
It was also published on the website and obtainable if required.
I was treated as the political campaigner for the Democratic Party and not an administration or Congress member. They sought help with the political election in 2010 to boost public support for President Barack Obama.
There is political smear from the critics, more interested in the investigation of my openness instead of channeling their resources towards the Bilderberg secret meeting attended by Presidential candidates Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and John McCain in 2008 that I unveiled on my website for public awareness and fearlessly dissented the authorities’ decisions on many issues including the troops increase in Afghanistan.
If I were to allegedly cover up on the health care or any other issue manufactured by the White House,
Why would I become the victim of violent threats by the authority in power?
Why would they insist that I should quit being inquisitive and even nick named me Snoop Dog in their parlance?
I questioned the then candidate Barack Obama on flip-flopping of issues during the political campaign and after the administration assuming power in the White House.
For switching from Single Payer System to private health care for profit.
Defaulting on campaign finance at the crucial moment of the Presidential election.
Casting his vote on FISA in 2008. Patriot act and the discriminatory policy in 2009.
Torture, detention, overseas rendition, troop withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan, altering the 9/11 terrorists federal trial to a military jurisdiction, the continuation of the predecessor, the former President George W. Bush’s policy.
Collecting public donations while claiming that there were no special interests’ contributions to his campaign, when the funds were flowing from Goldman Sachs, AIG, health industry and others – the figures that I published on the website much to the administration’s anger.
The administration and the State Department blocked the EU unilateral declaration under Sweden’s Presidency that embraced my policy on Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It was scheduled in November 2009. The people in both states were prepared and unbeknown the news vanished.
Similarly, in the Honduran crisis, the military coup leader agreed to step down and allow the former President Manuel Zelaya to remain in office until the national election in November 2009. The prospect was extinguished with the administration not inclined to intervene.
The materials with visual content were published on the website to this effect.
Haiti – the recommendation on the exiled leader Jean Bertrand Aristide’s return to his country was ignored.
Challenged on the environmental policies that was contradictory to the pledge made on the campaign trail. I called the COP15 summit a failure in the absence of real achievement.
In the 2008 Pennsylvania Primary election – I expressed my objection earlier on about Senator Obama’s approval to spend an estimated 11 million dollars on the television advertisement against his formidable opponent Senator Hillary Clinton while they declined to pay the foot soldiers $10 an hour for going door-to-door campaign. Most of them were African Americans eager to serve in the contentious primary that he lost to his democratic contender.
Lately, I responded to the Washington Post’s article by Richard Cohen on,
“Obama Policy unappreciated by the right and the left,” where I indicated that showering praise on the inadequate or failed policy would qualify as cronyism and exacerbate the corrupt political system.
I was issued a warning and a remark ‘She does not follow rules and creates her own that does not bode well with the authority.’ i.e. the international incognito clique running the gamut via proxies and puppet governments worldwide.
Because of my strong position on ethics and morality, I was abruptly eliminated from the campaign in March 2008 after ensuring the Democratic Party nomination in the primary election victories.
Perhaps, the critics’ selective memory may not serve them well.
I launched a campaign through my earlier website and endorsed the former Vice President Al Gore for President in May 2008. Furthermore, in an unprecedented gesture, I selected the Wisconsin Senator Russ Feingold as the Vice Presidential candidate on the ticket.
It was in protest of the dramatic shift in Senator Obama’s policies visible after clinching the Democratic Party nomination. My rejection of the international Presidential candidate Barack Obama infuriated many of his ardent supporters, who have now become my cynics.
I was called a traitor even though the Senator’s policies did not synchronize with the base.
After the arrival of the Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, the Republican candidates gained momentum in the general election and so did the communication from the candidate Barack Obama, his spouse Michelle Obama (for whom I was non-existent during the Gala Democratic Party Nomination) and the Obama campaign.
The flurry of emails and snail mail asking me to get back in the campaign was superfluous.
They managed to persuade the Vice President Al Gore to email me and send a letter in that regard, which was also published on the website.
Somehow, the alleged ‘character’ of the woman they have misportrayed now didn’t seem to matter then, when they were aspiring their dreams.
Is it political expediency or cutthroat politics to borrow the term recently used by them?
My communication medium from the start has been the website to keep the public informed on the direct engagement with the power in Washington throughout the election and up until now.
Unlike the then candidate Barack Obama’s surrogate and spouse Michelle Obama, reportedly dictated the The View show hosts on the permissible questions that debarred the co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck from straying in the contrived conversation.
The press media also confirmed on the restrictions imposed by the Obama campaign that prohibited many reporters and anchors from asking relevant questions with the candidate and the talking heads.
The prevalent censorship on free speech and the Nuclear Policy signed with Russia on April 9, 2010 – especially the overtone against the non signatories of NPT and reservations to use nuclear weapons is extremely disturbing and deserves scrutiny.
There were verbal attacks against me on the delay in rebuking the administration on the health care legislation scandal.
It’s easier to view the situation from one’s own perspective.
According to the news media, certain African American legislators were in the process of creating a preventive measure to grant immunity to Obama Presidency against impeachment following the inauguration.
Besides, it was necessary to be mindful of the repercussions such as the racial discord, two wars and the stock market in the aggressive removal of the President of the United States, found guilty of treason.
Therefore, the systematic procedure was to hold the elected official to the highest office accountable to the people, who have been betrayed in the national legislation that was bound to impact millions of lives.
Hence, soon after I exposed the unethical bargain with the health insurance industry,
I waited for the explanation from the President of the United States and the Congress leaders who shared the recognition as the victorious team of historic health care reform.
I ask the Press Corps and the media,
Why are you not pursuing those members in this matter, who are the signatories to this legislation?
Isn’t Congress leaders and other legislators’ responsibility to review the content prior to casting their vote?
I was never presented with the details of the bill, until the report from the New York Times, which none of the critics, who are attacking me bothered to analyze and bring it to public attention.
So much for their investigative journalism in the liberal frontier.
The President then conveniently sent me a letter in the usual manner – glorify privately and vilify publicly.
There was no request from the President to share with the public, I still went ahead and published the content to honor democracy.
Subsequently, there is no remorse or acknowledgment from the President of the United States, elected to the office to protect the republic interest.
Up until such time, I was a mere blogger to indefinitely campaign for elections.
If my word was the rule of law,
Why was my plea prior to the final health care vote, to modify the legislation to universal health care in the letter published on the website to President Barack Obama discarded?
After them being caught in the act of ethical compromise that I detected on my volition, I was bullied with death threats and implicated as an accomplice to turn the tide against me, the public watchdog all along.
Any domestic and global policy submission through the web site was initiated exclusively due to my commitment to the higher calling to serve humanity.
When there is divine intervention the integrity is measured by the solemn oath to serve the people not just in the United States but also across the globe and I’m expected to deliver the humanitarian goals determined by the Supreme cosmic force.
Unlike the tradition in contemporary politics, there is neither carte blanche nor financial gains in humanitarian service. The rules cannot be circumvented for the appointee’s agenda.
Whatever is being organized, it’s in coherence with universal convergence for a new beginning and a bright future.
I hope this would put the derogatory demagoguery to rest. If it doesn’t then it would be to the offenders’ downfall caused by their recalcitrant behavior.
People in glass houses should not cast stones at others.
The content is in reference to the events unfolding at present.
Thank you.

Universal Peace and Harmony
March 13, 2010
By Padmini Arhant
Peace is a unique experience and easily realized if one is prepared to disinherit the negative emotions towards self and others. When human mind is at peace, it’s an instant bliss and pervasive over the surroundings.
On the other hand, the reason for the unrest in the world is because of internal conflict within individual that surface and spreads like a wildfire. Internal conflict arises from dissatisfaction mostly related to desire.
Therefore, discipline is necessary to control the needs and learn to be content with material possessions and status.
Another beneficial factor is generosity. A generous heart usually reflects kindness. Sharing and giving nurtures love permeating the environment like a beautiful fragrance.
Magnanimity could be in the form of empathy and compassion. Willing to take risk to save life or serve justice demonstrates an act of courage and a caring nature.
In the earlier article, the statement –
“Selfless act being seldom rewarded in the world dominated by ‘Me, myself and I,’ concept,” was in reference to those who come forward to do what is right for others despite the challenges ahead but remain unsuccessful.
It’s largely due to the lack of co-operation from the rest.
A perfect example is the health care reform, where the few lawmakers’ request to adopt a ‘single payer’ system that is ideal for the people and the nation is opposed rather than being appreciated.
When a society recognizes the cumulative advantage for a vast majority, with a permanent solution such as the ‘universal health care through single payer,’ it’s best to move forward in that direction.
Their positive action will not be in vain. It’s based on the adage –
“What you sow is what you reap.”
Deeds performed to alleviate the suffering of humanity bear fruits in abundance.
As promised, I would like to explain the events’ characteristics since my acquaintance with the citizens of the world.
A Prophet’s visit to the physical world is solely for the purpose of protecting civilization from collapsing. Further, it happens when ethical and moral degradation portends danger beckoning divine intervention for salvation.
Right now, the toxicity in the planet is endangering life.
In human flesh, the purest soul performs the act to pronounce the karmic effects of it. It’s to teach humanity the consequences of negative vices such as anger, hatred, envy, ego, pride, greed, lust, etc
By the way, the ‘butter thief’ connotation towards Shri Krishna is an endearment term used by the devotees, but was deliberately put forth in the context to arouse self-analysis of an intentional misunderstanding by the critics in the relevant topic.
Thou thyself art to blame. Human nature often forget their actions while detecting faults in others.
They ignore the remaining fingers pointing towards them during their criticism of another.
The speck of dust is magnified in the backdrop of luminosity.
Moreover, it’s noteworthy that throughout the latent teaching, it was never a pre-emptive action but a response to provocation.
Invariably, it was in the innocent victims’ defense and on other occasions a reminder to review bad decisions, that was once again affecting the disadvantaged,
As well as urging to look within and find the self, the pure soul – the ‘Almighty,’ who dwells in every being.
It’s an act of nature versus nurture.
By becoming the participant in the world stage, the objective is to teach the fundamentals of individual action.
It’s called Karma in spirituality. Also known as the cause and effect – i.e. nothing happens without a reason.
Scientifically, it proves that ‘every action has equal and opposite reaction.’
The spiritual guides as the Prophets and Messiahs have the responsibility to disillusion the astray and redeem them from their wrongdoings by absorbing the negativities.
In the process, the Prophet endures the pain through insults and incendiary remarks from the cynics – equivalent to bearing the cross to absolve Mother Earth from negative energy.
Indian mythology has many incidents whereby the incarnate and the Supreme entity had to consume bitterness figuratively and literally like in the incident when God Shiva had to swallow venom to protect life.
Lord Ram, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu compelled to send the lord’s consort Devi Sita, an expectant mother with twins back to the forest in an effort to be the subjects’ King.
Likewise, Lord Jesus Christ revealed the truth upon resurrection to the lord’s ardent disciple Mary Magdalene first, much to the principal followers’ dismay.
All of these events confirm the saints and prophets’ predicaments to uphold virtues by committing the ‘less virtuous’ action in ‘the eyes of the beholder.’
Synonymously, The 2008 Presidential campaign began with perfect decorum among the contestants on the left and the right.
It didn’t take too long for that to disappear and soon transformed into a ruthless battle with emotions running high allowing heated exchanges between the contenders, not to mention the office of Presidency targeted in the debates.
So, the lessons to be learned are mutual respect, better understanding, self-restraint along with an open mind to view matter in different perspective prior to rushing to conclusions or harsh treatment of anyone with a different position, even if their stance would yield substantial gains or loss for the less fortunate and otherwise.
I would like to engage you all in my life journey briefly.
During my residency in Australia, in the three-story apartment building among the many residents,
There were only two occupants of color – There was I, and a beautiful family from the Ivory Coast in West Africa.
The African family had the father, Kwadjo and his wife Tina with two lovely kids.
They moved into the building after I did. Kwadjo was an extremely friendly and a vivacious person.
Tina was very soft spoken and respectful.
They both were highly qualified professionals. Kwadjo was a PhD. in town planning from the internationally renowned Australian institution, Monash University.
Tina was a registered ICU nurse. They arrived from Ivory Coast as legal residents during the economic boom.
In spite of that, neither of them could find suitable employment anywhere, forcing them to become under employed. Tina worked at the janitorial service in the biggest hospital.
Kwadjo on his part volunteered at the non-profit institution run by the local church in exchange for food to support his young family.
Kwadjo and Tina would reach out to other residents for a handshake or friendly greeting only to be disappointed with a cold shoulder from them.
Since they were very good neighbors and friends of mine, I knew them well and we invited each other over for dinners.
When I relocated to the United States, both Kwadjo and Tina were still struggling to find an appropriate job.
A year later, I learned from my sibling who was in Australia. He stayed in my apartment and Kwadjo had made this comment:
“Your sister, Padmini was the only one in this building, who treated my family and me as human beings. She showed love and respect by sharing and accepting whatever we had.”
Kwadjo and family had immigrated to Canada after having spent many years in Australia without an affordable income. I was informed about it via a surprise post card from them upon their arrival in Canada.
Similarly, the couple with epilepsy in the building felt isolated for their speech impediment and not being able to hold a long conversation. They felt that others had no patience to listen and avoided them entirely.
Then in California, my neighbor Lee, who was a widow and a paraplegic, confined to a wheel chair.
Lee had many children, grand children and great grand children.
It didn’t matter. For Lee, had none visiting her even during Christmas or Thanks giving.
So, abandoning ones’ parents in their old age is not exclusive to India or any particular society.
It’s a worldwide tragedy. Most people have no time for others in the contemporary lifestyle where individualism takes priority.
I became Lee’s surrogate daughter and she adored my children, who were an infant and a toddler at that time. They used to call her the “lollypop Lee,” for she would offer them lollypop during my routine visits to her place to keep her company.
Lee was in tears when I had to leave and I remained in touch with her from overseas.
In another instance, my visit to Paris had a strange twist when the pleasant hospitable host, a French (a fourth generation French) Jewish cardiologist turned hostile to my polite question to him on the two state solution between Israel and Palestine co-existing with one another, back in 1992.
Even though, the French doctor had never visited Israel and lived in France his entire life, the discussion was off the table.
It made me pause and wonder about the discord that persists in the atmosphere.
Human relationships evolve from the recognition of the truth that we are all inter-linked in the tightly woven fabric of the global society that is splitting apart rapidly.
We are the fragmentation of an energy particle that has a binding force and it’s not viable to be polarized on the issues concerning freedom, democracy, equal rights, race, religion…
Every living being is born free but sadly deprived of the natural rights in many parts of the world.
On the Environmental Front:
The world population is dealing with different kinds of environmental pollution. There is air, water and noise pollution.
Air and water are natural resources. Regardless, the people across the globe have to pay for clean air and pure drinking water. Noise is a major hazard in the urban areas of the nations.
Preserving the habitat for life survival and sustenance is paramount.
It’s possible to change the stagnancy into a flowing river for all to exist and thrive.
If we don’t pull together and make a concerted pledge to reunite and rebuild the global community, the individuals’ aspiration will not come to fruition.
Selective few cannot succeed on their own for long.
Hence, coherence is absolutely important to retain the goodness and release the bad vibrations.
Universal peace and harmony are the cornerstones to resolve the global crises.
Please remember the primary goal is to “Save the Planet,” and establish “Peace on Earth.”
Without your help and enthusiasm, it’s not attainable.
Let’s begin now for a better tomorrow.
Thank you.

Haiti – Securing the Caribbean Nation’s Future
March 1, 2010
By Padmini Arhant
The island nation in the western hemisphere is still struggling to deal with the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that caused an estimated three hundred thousand lives and millions displaced in the capital, Port-Au-Prince.
International aid, particularly from the United States and the global community to the relief organizations was significant for it helped in saving lives.
Despite the efforts, the suffering is far from over. The Haitian government is gradually addressing the humongous challenges following the catastrophe. Due to lack of resources, the government and the citizens were ill prepared for the calamity.
It’s noticeable in the comparison between Haiti and Chile, the recent earthquake victim.
Although, Chile has lost lives in the natural disaster, fortunately the death toll is proportionately less considering the greater magnitude than the one in Haiti.
Nevertheless, every life matters and the governments’ capabilities to restore normalcy is often tested during such national crisis.
Then there are displacement issues that are more demanding, with the population exodus from the disaster areas. If it’s harder for rich nations to cope with the tremendous humanitarian tasks after the natural events as seen during Katrina, it’s even more difficult for the poorer countries to salvage.
In Haiti’s case, the nation has been subject to prolonged foreign occupation and intervention initially by the French colonial power and,
Subsequently through U.S policy that enabled the military coups including the abduction of the democratically elected President Jean-Bertinand Aristide, currently forced into exile in South Africa and,
The U.S economic policy, that allowed corporations to dismantle the functioning economic structure established during the rare peaceful political atmosphere in Haiti.
Even though, the United States is currently making concessions to accept the earthquake victims as asylum seekers, the U.S foreign policy contributing to Haiti’s status quo cannot be ignored.
The present U.S gesture is admirable.
However, the previous administrations’ policy has transformed the once self-supportive Haitians into economic refugees in their soil.
U.S performance with respect to the military coups in Latin America has been consistent and Haiti is no exception.
The latest being the Honduran political crisis in 2009 – when the democratically elected President Manuel Zelaya, now exiled in Costa Rica, was ousted from power through coup d’état on the United States’ watch.
Providing economic aid to Haiti would temporarily ease the burden on the incumbent President, René Préval’s government.
Regardless of the commitment term, it’s not guaranteed to relieve the people from the worst economic conditions.
What the Haitian population require at the moment is not an extemporaneous political status, represented by the United States appointee – President René Préval,
Instead a viable government led by an experienced leadership of the republic choice, the President in exile – Jean Bertinand Aristide.
The Superpower interference in democratically elected government affairs has been detrimental to the natives and the entire region. Whether it’s Haiti, or for that matter Iran in the Middle East.
It’s inconceivable that the citizens are barred from residency in their country of birth or naturalization for political reasons imposed by the foreign powers.
Reference :
The exiled Haitian President Jean-Bertinand-Aristide and the Honduran President Manuel Zelaya, having been democratically elected continue to remain popular in their country of origin until now. Yet, they both are denied access to their country.
Again, it’s poignant to raise the conspicuous flaws or hypocrisy in the U.S foreign policy that is diametrically opposed on issues even when related to a singular nation like China or Israel…and justifiably condemned by the people worldwide.
For example, “The current U.S foreign policy with China” –
U.S is conciliatory to China’s occupation of Tibet irrespective of the prevalent persecution and mass killings of the peaceful Tibetans, including Beijing’s furor over the spiritual leader, His Holiness Dalai Lama’s truncated meeting with President Obama.
The U.S. position is claimed as a tough decision because of the “economic ties” with the communist nation.
On the other hand, the contemporary U.S agreement on Arms sales worth $8 billion with Taiwan, antagonizing the U.S. major creditor, China is somehow not considered an economic impediment.
Ref: Congressional Research Service – http://fas.org/sgp/crs/weapons/RL30957.pdf – Thank you.
Taiwan: Major U.S. Arms Sales since 1990.
Taiwan arms sale to test US-China ties – www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2437419/posts –
“Many Taiwanese, however, consider Washington’s willingness to sell defensive weapons as a sign of enduring US commitment to a longtime ally …”
Likewise, U.S. policy towards Israel – The condemnation of Iran for the inflammatory remarks against Israel was appropriate.
Reportedly, the U.S. has not ruled out military action against Iran for the nuclear program.
Further, the hawkish representatives in Washington have earlier stated the use of nuclear weapons in this context.
Ironically, with Palestine –
The U.S. is passive on the provocative Jewish settlements in West Bank and East Jerusalem as well as the National Heritage controversy, notwithstanding the Israeli authorities’ persisting oppression of the Palestinians – all of which are attributed to the past and the present peace process failure.
United States credibility as the “leader of the Free World,” is jeopardized because of the explicit double standards in the U.S foreign policy.
Haitian exiled President Jean-Bertinand- Aristide’s return to his native country is the honorable decision and a unique opportunity for the United States to remedy the former administrations’ undemocratic interception in the stable Haitian government then elected by the people.
The Republic of Haiti deserves a government that has the potential to revive the economic prospects that prevailed under Aristide’s Presidency.
Hence, upon the exiled leader’s arrival in his homeland, the ex-President would be able to participate in the 2010 elections and elected to the office with a resounding victory.
Indeed, that would be the best gift for the political and the natural disaster victims in Haiti.
Finally, Humanity owes it to Haiti in ending the population plight.
Thank you.

Humanitarian Challenge
February 27, 2010
By Padmini Arhant
Recently there was a flurry of criticisms and admonishments for the article titled “His Holiness Dalai Lama in Spotlight,” and the earlier ones related to the,
“Iranian Theocracy cracking down on pro-democracy protestors and the inflammatory rhetoric against Israel.”
Alternatively, the Israeli authorities’ oppression of the Palestinians in Gaza and West Bank.
Likewise, social issues regarding human rights violation –
Self-interest and greed reflected in the globalization v. protectionism including,
The article on the racial attacks against the Indian students and other immigrants in Australia, scorned for the delivery and the condemnation of discriminatory practices.
Hence, it’s important to clarify the difficulties surrounding when addressing social injustice of this enormity.
Needless to emphasize that it’s much easier and less distressing to discuss non-controversial issues related to the economy, environment, travel, food, entertainment…etc.,
However, when the social injustice is concerned,
Whether it’s about the denial of equal rights to the gay community,
Women’s rights,
Burgeoning Health care crisis in the absence of a universal health care or a public option,
Students plight with the rising educational costs,
Growing economic disparity,
Or,
On a serious level – The invasion and occupation of foreign lands through wars,
Nuclear proliferation,
Slighting human rights over economic opportunities,
Double standards in the terrorism definition,
Ignoring environmental warnings…all of which draws immediate attention from the critics representing the specific agenda.
Prior to moving forward with the discussion, it’s necessary to accept the bestowed honor for being compared with the canines by the critics.
As an animal lover, particularly the canines, I consider the comparison – a true compliment.
The reason being, the canines are known for their unconditional love, loyalty and protective instincts towards their owners and the families. They are also well regarded for their intuitive nature.
Due to these extraordinary characteristics, the canines have earned the title as “Man’s best friend.”
Although, sometimes it’s worth posing the question if the man deserves a best friend in a canine.
Similarly, the attacks through innuendoes and nuances seen against the articles on atrocities that were presented with evidence, are intriguing.
Cynicisms vary such as the articles meeting the “critics standards” attributed to the guardian or the ‘Almighty’ out of fear as the case might be and phrased as the ‘Brisk walk.’
While, the so-called ‘inappropriate berating’ of the human misconduct selectively ascribed to the “off-leash” canine, apparently not accustomed to the ‘city lifestyle.’
It beckons the argument on whose side is, these city slickers as the “judges” and “critics” on, when the articles on the website are invariably factual and visuals supported, portraying the systemic degradation of humanity at every level.
If the presentation or the style is the issue, then it’s worth remembering that the art of diplomacy and sophistication is at its best in a dialogue with the virtuous free of vices and that being envy, ego, pride, prejudice and greed.
Moreover, the offenders condemned in these articles are no missionaries or monks in the monasteries.
Instead, they are individuals as well as powerful authorities deliberately and conscientiously engaged in killing and mass murder of their own population, specifically the oppressed minorities.
Economic opportunists causing immense agony and misery for humanity through deceitful and deceptive actions.
It appears that any one daring to highlight the inherent omission of fairness by the corporate owned networks and the political figures’ evasion of responsibility on vital national issues like health care, financial reform, environment are declared ‘reprehensible’ by their representatives.
The double standards in the first amendment act as found in the terrorism definition among the critics are attention worthy.
When the articles on this website raise genuine credibility issue against the major corporations and their political allies, not excluding the foreign governments’ human rights activities, the news outlets are instantaneously used by the mighty and the powerful to warn the legitimate substance or comment as “off-limit,” in a democracy.
On the other hand, the constant vilification of the “progressives,” the “liberals,” anyone defending righteousness and the most favorite of all,
The religion of Islam and its followers…by the Fox news presenters viz. Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly, not barring the radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh are,
Permitted as ‘free speech’ parlance with an exclusive right to trigger violence, hostility, anger and fear mongering.
Even if the extreme provocation leads to untoward incidents like the death of DR. George Tiller of Wichita, Kansas,
The green jobs advocate Van Jones’ resignation and,
Last but not the least, the recent anti-government groups promoted “terrorist attack” by Joe Stack against the IRS building in Austin, Texas.
Despite the track record, when the White House contemplated to exclude the Fox news in the press conference, the entire news media and the leading news organizations deemed such action as objectionable.
Only if the mainstream media like CNN, Fox News and others had placed the former administration under President George W. Bush and the Vice President Dick Cheney in spotlight with tough questions on the Iraq war, akin to the ones posed to His Holiness Dalai Lama, it could have led to a favorable status quo.
Humanity’s response to the Prophets / Messiahs, the Political leaders and the Peace activists thus far has been,
Lord Jesus Christ crucified.
Prophet Mohammad ( May peace be upon him) diminished in status as an alibi by the pretentious followers of Islam like the terrorist network Al Qaeda and others, Iranian Theocracy and the dictatorial powers in the Middle East.
The Holy Buddhist Temples in Afghanistan desecrated by the Taliban forces.
Holy Islamic sites under siege by the Israeli authorities in the disputed Hebron.
Hindu Temples attacked in Kashmir (Indian and Pakistani side) by the Pakistani fundamentalist terror groups.
President Abraham Lincoln assassinated for ending slavery.
President John F. Kennedy assassinated. President Kennedy was a vocal critic of the secret society and the military industrial complex.
Mahatma Gandhi assassinated for the peaceful effort to unite Hindus and Muslims.
DR. Martin Luther King assassinated for civil rights movement.
Egyptian President Anwar Sadat assassinated for signing the Israel-Egypt peace treaty.
Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin assassinated for the peace initiative and signing the Oslo Accords pertaining to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
On an optimistic note, the universal peace mission might have been successfully thwarted by the anti-peace factions for centuries,
Nevertheless, the reversal is imminent in the immediate future.
Thank you.
