Vishwa Kalyan Award 2015

Dear Citizens,

I invite you to virtual award ceremony conforming to Kalki avatar premised on information technology and pervasive accessibility. The concept is unique unlike conventional practice.

The journey via information highway is not only convenient but also favorable to environment  in terms of carbon trail released in air travel.

There is yet another difference in the award strategy.

The tradition with global awards is recipients are granted specific cash prize as individual monetary reward.

Vishwa Kalyan Award (VKA) for easy reference which means Universal Benefit Award with divine blessings provides necessary assistance through campaign and advocacy on global platform seeking donors and benefactors in achieving targeted goals enabling all to be winners – the people they are serving in particular in the collective responsibility.

Having clarified in that regard, the winners are informed that they will receive award with commemorative inscription in their honor delivered to their authorized address.

Since the selected individuals and organizations also require volunteers with relevant expertise and mostly genuine concern expressed in kindness towards beneficiaries of extraordinary mission,

The pledge to assist these humanitarian projects is essentially sharing opportunity to serve humanity.

Accordingly, I kindly request the generous global citizens across the spectrum to come forward and donate any amounts to splendid cause and be a part of solution to problems facing humanity.

You can sponsor a project, donate items like clothing, books and goods that are necessary to run mercy homes for children and needy citizens in society. You could become a parent to a child as the provider by remaining in your domain.

The issues recognized this year are – Health and Environment.

The articles on Health and Health related challenges and similarly environment woes with necessary resolutions were published recently for global attention and awareness on these critical issues.

In this segment – I begin with Health and General Well Being and subsequently ending with environment awards in the week.

The most impressive attribute about these organizations are their focus on women empowerment and outreach to citizens in farthest corners of the world.

Organizing events are not always effortless especially when you are attempting to break conventions and strive for best possible effects in delivery.  I realized the constraints in the course of preparing the virtual award function.  Nonetheless the process facilitated creativity and desire to explore dormant skills within that otherwise wasted defeating life purpose.

Let us begin the event.

With great admiration and gratitude towards every one of these caring members – I, Padmini Arhant representative divine mission, author and presenter PadminiArhant.com thank them for exemplary work in humanitarian struggle.

Environment – Challenges and Solutions

September 5, 2015

By Padmini Arhant

PadminiArhant.com Recognition of Environment issue for Vishwa Kalyaan (VK) Award 2015.

There are far too many challenges with few steps against climate change.

The procrastination on climate treaty with effective policy from major contributors of pollution is a serious threat to humanity.

Any positive development requires collective actions for air and water are the two main elements enabling life on planet.

The blue sky and ocean are no longer clear with smoke clouds from carbon emission and repeat incidents of oil spills, subterranean nuclear testing, missile programs to strengthen nuclear capability inflicting massive damages to life and livelihoods in coastal areas and all around beyond recovery.

The global warming leading to ozone depletion in atmosphere affecting seasons and melting glaciers causing sea level to rise endangering marine lives with species becoming rare and extinct not to mention the ultimate impact on ecological balance.

Natural disasters cannot be assessed as natural and triggered by environment neglect and abuse ranging from off shore and shallow water drilling including hydro fracking for oil to mountain top removal in coal mining and other fossil fuel related excavations and explorations proved destructive.

The pursuits attributed to growing energy demand also tied to profitability like in coal mining industry with political members’ direct involvements as stakeholders raking huge financial gains ignore environment woes and options for renewal energy in particular.

Although there are many environment groups and organizations tirelessly engaged in containing industrial and political combined anti-environment undertakings, the greed motivated strategy continues unabated with little or no concern for apparent environment degradation.

The powerful energy sector – fossil fuel and nuclear industry despite catastrophic events viz. Fukushima prioritize political and economic opportunity at environment and population expense.

There is no doubt that energy is essential to fuel economy and maintain machine age.  However, the investments in natural sources like sun, wind and water that are in abundance somehow not appealing stifling alternative energy supply emergence.

In contrary procurement of fossil fuel especially oil desirable expending taxpayer funds in invasion and occupation of nations rich in oil and mineral resources leaving further economic, environment, political and social problems in the destinations.

The military interventions whether conventional or sponsoring terrorism to destabilize nations and regions with constant use of arsenals and explosives laden cluster munitions dropped in Yemen right now substituting land mines are devastating to victims – mostly children and other civilians in the war zone.

Wars around the world with overt and disguised use of nuclear components augment environment deterioration.

The trend funding political campaigns for vested interests form governments to suit donors’ agenda via legislations and disregard consequences exacerbating economy and environment.

Solutions to energy needs are divestments in alternative energyclean energy like solar, wind and hydropower projects suitable to vast majority of developed and developing nations in terms of affordability and minimum to zero maintenance in operation for end user.

The current dilemma to meet emerging economies energy demand could be addressed in promoting reduction in energy consumption with more awareness on the issue.

Small approach often eases the situation resulting in economic prudence.

The replacement of existing incandescent light bulbs with energy efficient light emitting diodes (LED) lights is incremental pace towards conservation.

The household appliances such as refrigerators, washer and dryer…and electronic devices conforming to low power absorption and high in performance would allow energy saving.  The consumer responsibility in adjusting usage and smart exercise equally important to decrease energy wastage.

Another critical measure is to broaden and modernize public transportation like buses, metros and subways for convenient access.

The campaign urging commuters to avail these facilities providing low fares as incentives would attract large numbers boosting revenue.

Traffic congestion and weak environment standards like absence of mandatory smog control in emerging economies is a health hazard with ripple effects on economy deterring tourism and business venture.

Recycling is an age old practice in developing nations serving as survival means for demography in impoverished and lower economic strata. The mechanism to operate recycling plant and waste management is yet to be fully developed and deployed for maximum benefit.

Water scarcity and distribution is ongoing global crisis. The harvesting and irrigation techniques in agriculture reaching farmers in near and remote areas is key to self-sufficiency and satisfying hunger.

In urban and rural areas –  water storage during monsoon and reutilization of water with investments in purification would minimize water shortage.

The wealthy states in the Middle East diversion from aiding terrorism to constructive projects like desalination would transform arid desert lands for cultivation.

Preserving rain forests and reefs in ocean beds from commercial activities is paramount for life linked with natural food pyramid.

Ordinarily planting trees and expanding greenery oxygenate surroundings in the nature designed conversion of carbon dioxide.

Summarizing on environment matter – setting targets on carbon emission and compliance on environment regulations in addition to departure from fossil fuel with commitment to natural energy – solar, wind and water sourced power is the gateway to free the world from oil dependency.

The nuclear energy evidently not always meant for civilian programs and deviation from the objective towards nuclear weapons status is the reason behind contemporary nuclear proliferation.

Again unless there is complete and comprehensive nuclear disarmament beginning with P5+1 and other nuclear states – the environment and biodiversitys face imminent risks with preference for confrontation over peaceful resolutions escalating global tensions and volatility.

Arriving at consensus on climate accord is incumbent on industrialized and emerging economies to release the burden on developing and island nations experiencing enormous losses due to extreme weather conditions and lack of technology as well as logistic support.

The environment awardees names for 2015 Vishwa Kalyaan (VK) Award i.e. Universal Benefit Award will be published subsequent to official declaration on recipients of Health category award.

Peace to all!

Thank you.

PadminiArhant.com – Recognition & Honor 2015

Part I.  Recipients and Project Synopsis

Dear Citizens,

In the contemporary era power and prominence are patented and claimed as exclusive league entitlements barring others in the hall of fame notwithstanding patent rights set expiry date. The competitiveness attributed to narcissism forbid formidable talents in the international arena.

The current trend is perhaps due to lingering insecurity and obsession with dominance despite termination of all things including inanimate objects imminent in natural law.

However, there are people world over performing altruistic tasks for years and remain active in delivering desirable outcome.

Natural creation has seasons for a reason.  The perennial state of fall (autumn) or winter prohibiting spring and summer not viable for ecological harmony with serious impact on life all around.

The necessity for change more appropriate with anything that is destructive and deny new beginning and opportunity to all.

On August 26th, I made a public statement regarding recognition of issues and significant contributions to humanity especially by unsung individuals and organizations for inspiring and inculcating innovative ideas and peaceful strategies towards positive development.

Accordingly, I present the finalists for their outstanding service exemplifying selfless dedication and sincere commitment to save lives transforming hope into reality.

The award is titled Vishwa Kalyaan or Universal Benefit Award and recipients are chosen based on results in the respective endeavor.

The focus is on unsung contributors pledging lifetime devotion to forgotten and in some cases deserted citizens as well as neglected species on the planet. The honor will be conferred upon suitable entity on August 26th every year.

Unlike conventional awards with specific cash prize, Vishwa Kalyaan or  Universal Benefit Award provides necessary support through campaign and advocacy on global platform seeking donors and benefactors in achieving targeted goals enabling all to be winners – the people they are serving in particular in the collective responsibility.

The selected individuals and organizations also require volunteers with relevant expertise and mostly genuine concern expressed in kindness towards beneficiaries of extraordinary mission.

Since the concept was introduced this year i.e. 2015, the names are revealed right now with environment topic and groups accorded for the coveted accolade in that category to follow this week and made official on the weekend of September 5th, 2015 Lord Krishna’s birth celebration.

In the meantime, the generous global citizens across the spectrum are urged to come forward and donate any amounts to splendid cause and be a part of solution to problems facing humanity.

The issues recognized this year are – Health and Environment.

The article on Health and Health related challenges was published on this site on August 27, 2015.

Health is critical for survival and overall wellness determined by physical, mental and emotional balance in life. Health is linked with environment and healthy atmosphere i.e. fresh air, clean water and hygiene facilitates good living conditions free from preventable disease.

Another essential source for existence is nutritious food. Organic produce without chemicals and meat excluding growth hormones, genetically modified organisms (GMO) or cooking oil with zero trans fat are quintessential in daily diet.

In this segment – I begin with Health and General Well Being and subsequently ending with environment in the week.

With great admiration and gratitude for every one of these caring members – I, Padmini Arhant representative divine mission, author and presenter PadminiArhant.com would like to thank them for exemplary work in humanitarian struggle.

I invite you on virtual tour in this presentation. You do not need passports, visa, travelers check and even better no selective frisking or profiling under the guise of security on this exciting trip.

Virtual travel to the Foothills of Himalayas viz. Nepal and Tibet.

Both nations are yet to experience political freedom and stability with Maoists infiltration in Nepal and China’s invasion and occupation of Tibet since 1959.

Universal Health Care is considered a privilege rather than basic rights in developed and developing nations worldwide with rare exceptions as the model.

The health care availability is a rarity in rural and urban areas in most countries not to mention the inhabitants plight in remote valleys and mountainous parts of the world exacerbated with lack of medical aid and health center.

This is where, Nomads Clinic has set precedence in travelling to the areas in dire need of medical attention. The team with free spirited volunteers consisting doctors, surgeons and medical students’ convergence visiting Nepal and Tibet for personalized health diagnosis is beyond local population expectation.

Youth Helping Hands

Youth Helping Hands Coimbatore

https://youtu.be/ayJbdWRvA6U

Arun was abandoned when he was five days old baby and found by an elderly woman on the street and his life began in an orphanage. The life at mercy homes housing several children under one roof condition them to reconcile terms with fate and no option to take anything for granted prevalent in domestic settings.

Arun had to leave orphanage home after graduating from high school.  He spent a week under open sky and worked at the coffee shop.  Arun’s passion for classical music (vocal and instrument – drum) led him to enroll in music college and now he runs music institute apart from offering free lessons to children from impoverished background with musical talent.

Since Youth Helping Hands inception, Arun has persevered to alleviate orphan children pain and difficulties with distribution of essentials – clothing, school supplies and medicine in addition to teaching and training kids by honing inherent skills preparing them for better future.

Arun celebrates main Hindu festival Diwali presenting new gifts and items to all children in the entire city of Coimbatore made possible with civic magnanimity. There are 65 orphanages with 3500 children who regard the 28 years old Arun and his young family as loving parents.

Youth Helping Hands (YHH) vision is to fill the family void for orphans and pursue elimination of orphan status with children growing up in normal household.

You may please visit www.youthhelpinghands.org for further information.

On the social dilemma of children becoming orphans in dysfunctional family scenario – promoting awareness on parental responsibility, family planning and society empathy not apathy towards children burdened with adults’ erroneous actions pertinent in the increasingly self-centered system.

I conclude with the urgent requisite in addressing the cause and not the symptoms alone on all issues confronting humanity.

The upcoming highlight is environment and awardees list for Vishwa Kalyaan or Universal Benefit Award.

Peace to all!

Thank you.
