Syria – Geneva Talks Failure Would Confirm UN, United States And Alliance Dismal Future

January 26, 2014

By Padmini Arhant

The ongoing so-called peace conference in Geneva with UN interlocutor Lakhdar Brahimi on Syria appears to be nothing more than catharsis to once again mislead the world that terror sponsors viz. the United States, Britain, France, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey…are justified in prolonging the proxy war despite death toll exceeding 100,000 and estimated 4.5 million refugees is the result of foreign invasion.

Considering there is no desire for peace among the western powers and allies behind the illegal intervention recruiting terror networks al-Qaeda and al-Nusra front to carry out genocide not to mention cannibalism and use of chemical weapons against people in Syria,

The Geneva meeting having prohibited genuine political opposition in Syria from participation at United States and alliance behest insists on beguiling Syrian and global citizens with pseudo representation known as Syrian National Council (SNC) essentially serving hegemony interests to evade critical decisions such as immediate ceasefire and unconditional withdrawal of mercenaries and death squads ending the three year old conflict.

The western appointed UN mediator Lakhdar Brahimi admission during press interaction that certainty is a rare commodity in UN initiated peace forums is ominous sign for United Nations and UNSC set up to foment and escalate rather than resolve international crises.

UN poised as international body is yet to demonstrate prudence and trustworthiness in global affairs and ingenuity deficiency could be attributed to UNSC key permanent members deliberate misuse of authority like veto powers exacerbating human suffering at every opportunity.

Syrian warfare has consumed scores of innocent lives and ruined millions of citizens with generational impact.

The terror organizers especially United States, Israel, Britain and France proudly claiming to be democracies befitting emulation regard the obsolete and self-destructive imperial aspirations as entitlement.

Similarly their partners Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey willingness to remain servile only to be disposed after being used refuse to learn from the past and present developments leading to disastrous experience hurting the source and facilitators denying them any chance of revival from self-inflicted quagmire.

The western governments authorized terrorism in Syria in semblance with relentless violence in Iraq following United States, Britain and NATO aggression in that country profoundly debilitated UN credibility and major powers economic growth respectively given the exhaustive means proved counterproductive.

Geneva summit focus on terminating terrorism as priority enforcing embargo on arms supply and monetary funding to terrorists on the ground would clarify United States, Russia and other participants’ real intentions and commitment to peace.

As for the unreasonable demands from SNC at United States and coalition order on prisoners release when terrorists atrocities include several abductions of citizens across the spectrum holding them hostage in the burgeoning warfare further indicative of the integrity or the lack thereof in the United States maneuvered UN role to derail positive outcome.

With respect to SNC concern over humanitarian relief specifically in Homs while ignoring the rest of the war ravaged neighborhoods in Syria reveals the western forces exploitation of human plight to suit terror agenda.

Human mind blocked from exploring viable options like peaceful resolutions and instead determined to pursue catastrophe as only preference pose greater challenges for those engaged in self-detrimental cause expediting imminent dissolution of anything and everything associated with irrationality.

Geneva II gathering is a unique moment for all sides to maximize potential to arrive at consensus in bringing the foreign led terrorism to conclusion.

Any failure in this context would confirm establishments dissipation and dismal future for nations complicit in the preventable self-defeating mission.

Best Wishes to Syrian delegation and alike in infusing reason and wisdom transforming the event purposeful to save humanity at large.

Peace to Syria!

Peace to all!

Thank you.

Syria – Geneva II Conference in Switzerland

January 24, 2014

By Padmini Arhant

The peace talks on Syria held earlier in Montreux and now in Geneva, Switzerland are not an occasion for terror sponsors and their representatives to challenge the prospects of positive outcome.

In fact, the conference focus on real issues such as mounting death toll, refugee problems and spill over effects in neighboring states exacerbating human suffering would be impetus for immediate arms embargo on nations providing weapons to al-Qaeda and al-Nusra front terror networks behind massacres in Syria.

The meeting directing attention towards sincere commitment to peace with unconditional withdrawal of mercenaries and terror operatives is imperative to save lives and alleviate humanitarian plight inflicted upon victims in the war torn country.

As for the so-called opposition i.e. Syrian National Coalition echoing United States and regional allies sentiments seeking regime change and transitional government in Syria prove lack of credibility considering Syrian people unanimous rejection of the group and their agenda.

The demand for removal of legitimate government and leadership from power at the Geneva meeting clarifies real intentions to sabotage peace rather than initiate agreement to end conflict without delay.

United States and others including UN bear responsibility in arriving at consensus to terminate terrorism causing bloodshed in Syria.

Syria’s compliance in chemical weapons disarmament to complete satisfaction of UN, United States and Israel…appointed Organization for Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) despite enduring five chemical attacks from U.S. and alliance recruited terrorists set example for the latter to renounce WMD and meet their obligation to mankind.

The chief proponents and facilitators of proxy war in Syria spreading violence across the country show no concern for their actions adversely affecting innocent citizens at national and regional level.

The genocide could no longer continue and participants in the current Geneva summit have opportunity to demonstrate legitimacy in declaring ceasefire and seal the deal with monetary compensation for rebuilding Syria besides honoring Syrian citizens self-determination rights and national sovereignty.

Any outcome other than bringing the Syrian warfare to conclusion would be counterproductive and Geneva event unable to deliver peace treaty could lead to dissolution of UN as an international body notwithstanding serious repercussions for those nations involved in impediments to peaceful resolution.

The brutal attacks not barring cannibalism reflective of the sources funding and arming militants in the merciless operation depict respective nations in bad light due to complacency from society.

The terror organizers unwillingness to relent to peace reviving primitive practices in modern age throughout Syrian turmoil reveals unsavory characteristics inevitably harming the origin in accordance with natural law.

Hence, all sides are urged to prioritize human costs over vested interests since civilians are targeted in the foreign invasion lasting more than three years.

In implementing peace adopting rational means benefit entire region unlike the disastrous pursuits resulting in self-destruction.

Hopefully much anticipated Geneva II accord would be fruitful for Syria and humanity at large.

Best Wishes to Syrian delegation and counterparts in accomplishment of peaceful solution to unnecessary unrest in Syria.

Peace to Syria!

Peace to all!

Thank you.

United States – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day

January 20, 2014

By Padmini Arhant

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. envisioned social equality leading to economic and political progress for the marginalized and disenfranchised demography in the country.

United States commemorating the civil rights leader’s sacrifice every year is more symbolic than realistic considering the status quo on human rights and many issues related to U.S. domestic and foreign policy aimed at denying the inalienable rights that led to freedom movement earlier and in the past century.

The nation having evolved into police state notwithstanding misuse of power justified in authorizing illegal, unconstitutional and undemocratic activities even though none bear resemblance to the dream for recognition of human values that defines character and determines destiny.

Politics prioritizing anti-republic interests is the norm and systematic violation of democratic principles evident in national and international matter.

United States intelligence, military, judiciary, legislative and executive branch of the political system failure to represent people and nation at large due to allegiance to forces reining control over money management, economy and national defense undermines sovereignty.

The nation predominantly run by private enterprise and foreign sources discard constitution and suppress peaceful challenges to legitimize subjugation and deviation from functioning democracy.

As a result, the population immense suffering ignored to push forward strategies detrimental to national future.

United States liberty is possible with mass awakening and action to reclaim power from elements of declining empire defiant in pursuing counterproductive course.

Upon emancipation, the citizens would have opportunity to elect government with sincere commitment to national service unlike the present foreign infiltrated structure designed to favor the few members in the self-proclaimed privileged class.

United States superpower complex mostly used for exerting dominance is best abandoned since those behind the erroneous disposition having caused substantial damages to national credibility evade responsibility and yet continue to indoctrinate ideas proved catastrophic thus far.

The honorable act to memorialize historic events contributing to positive change is to practice and maintain paradigm with any modifications for enhancement rather than deterioration as default.

Dr. King dedication to humanitarian cause yielded necessary political flexibility to outlaw blatant discriminatory tradition.

However, the struggle persists with prejudice and hatred institutionalized for political and economic gains at the expense of human degradation.

National focus in human relations premised on tolerance and acceptance would exemplify development with greater importance on unity.

Ignorance is bliss in subjects of no relevance.  Nonetheless ignorance is abyss in topics of significance.

Human enlightenment could begin with earnest quest for truth and purposeful existence.

Peace to all!

Thank you.

CAR – France Illegal Invasion Along With AU And UN Intervention Exacerbate Crises

January 18, 2014

By Padmini Arhant

The unnecessary communal clashes between Muslims and Christians in Central African Republic has provided false pretexts for former colonial power France to invade the nation enriched in mineral resources with UNSC authorizing African Union and UN troops presence in the war torn country.

Since France illegal intervention in Central African Republic on December 5, 2013 similar to operation in West African Mali and North African Libya in 2012 and 2011 respectively, the situation in foreign powers invaded states has deteriorated contributing to humanitarian crises and political turmoil.

Yet the western proposal to deploy more military personnel continues with EU now considering sending 1000 forces to Central African Republic to foment further violence.

The imperial agenda to militarize African continent claiming to restore law and order proved catastrophic at national and regional level notwithstanding destabilization justified as democratic means creating chaos and confusion wherever and whenever possible.

Central African Republic in semblance with neighboring states has invited problems prompting foreign interference rather than seeking reconciliation within setting aside political and religious differences in entire population interest.

The Seleka fighters having ousted former President Francois Bozize and President Michel Djotodia recent resignation evidently promote colonial aspirations declaring CAR   – failed state in the inability to end externalized internal conflict.

Any nation dealing with bloodshed from sectarianism and ethnic confrontations need to prohibit weapons supply to rebels,  militias and terror networks while adopting non-violence strategy for resolution with legitimate opposition unlike foreign backed  disingenuous representation.

The doctrine to settle disputes among tribes, minority and majority segments with foreign aggression involving military outfits and air raids designed to favor prominent powers defense industry vying to escalate tensions in war ravaged nations through constant flow of arms and ammunitions to all sides in the form of generous military aid.

Central African Republic Parliament preparing to elect transitional leadership exercising diligence in choosing interim government pledged to national unity could be instrumental in averting foreign occupation.

The prolonged combat attributed to rising death toll and massive displacement of people fleeing villages and towns in the ongoing unrest.

The trend to subjugate nations cares less about civilian casualties and human suffering resulting from foreign intrusion espousing dominance for unlimited access to natural endowments.

Central African Republic infighting obviously facilitates foreign expansionism leading to surrender of sovereignty.

Instead members from Muslim, Christian and other denominations recognition of national strength remaining in solidarity and accordingly unanimous agreement to disavow hostility amongst them could be the preliminary step towards saving lives that in return would guarantee peace and stability.

The political system demonstrating sincere commitment to citizens’ safety and improving economic conditions utilizing national wealth could deter domestic and foreign threats to topple governments engaged in positive development.

Corruption being integral part of dysfunctional political performance, earnest measures introducing transparency and accountability without exception is fundamental to initiate and implement reforms across the spectrum.

Again political disturbance often emanating from parallel powers quest for global control could be thwarted identifying elements responsible for disruption and appropriate approach to prevent precedence in the near future.

The people in North Central African country – CAR deserve peaceful existence with national potential to alleviate poverty, hunger and various economic as well as social woes that are self-inflicted allowing foreign imposition of rules undermining independent status.

Best Wishes to Central African Republic in overcoming challenges with unified resolve and acceptance of national diversity as an asset not liability in republic empowerment.

Peace and Prosperity to Central African Republic!

Peace to all!

Thank you.

Cambodia – Garment Workers Strike Receives Government Violent Response

January 17, 2014

By Padmini Arhant

The Cambodian garment and shoe factory workers strike for minimum wage increase met with government violent crackdown resulting in peaceful protesters deaths and charges against political opposition in the country.

The Cambodian Labor Ministry offer to raise minimum wage from $80 to $100 per month while the labor force seeking $160 monthly payment in the $5 billion industry confirms exploitation – the common practice worldwide.

Corporations and government obviously do not share profits among employees especially those at the bottom of income hierarchy.  The global poverty and economic inequality largely attributed to poor employment conditions and below normal earnings with disproportionate allocation to powerful entities in political and business enterprise.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen led government hardline approach against national work force demonstrators on this issue is counterproductive.

The authorities could instead address high inflation along side improving job situation with fair and reasonable remuneration, health care provisions and other benefits for workers behind profitable trade boosting national revenue.

Major multinational companies and designer outlets using Cambodia and many developing nations as manufacturing base also bear responsibility in adopting policies with decent wages for factory workers and members in the service sector.

The government response to curb public rally in addition to political indictment of leaders in National Rescue Party contributes to unrest flaring instability.

Moreover such disposition reveals government lack of commitment to economic growth evident in denying citizens request for affordable living despite enormous returns from apparel and accessories exports abroad.

International consumers effort and direct support to workers in Cambodia and elsewhere with similar experience could deliver positive outcome.

In globalized economy, collective action urging private and public sector to comply with labor and environment laws critical to change status quo alleviating ordinary citizens plight.

Cambodian leaderships peaceful negotiations with protesters, unions and activists including political rivals could perhaps lead to resolutions conforming to better salary and income disbursements essential to narrow the gap between haves and have-nots in society.

Wishing Cambodian citizens success in equitable system establishment facilitating mainstream access to prosperity.

Peace to all!

Thank you.

World Peace And Security – Western Democracy and United States Army under Siege By Imperialism

January 9, 2014

By Padmini Arhant

The ongoing crises in the following nations and latest developments on major issues confirm western democracy and United States army under siege by imperialism.

Afghanistan – United States declaring intentions to stay beyond 2014.

Iran – United States Senators proposal on anti-Iran sanctions despite Geneva nuclear deal between P5+1 and Iran in progress.

Syria – Foreign Sponsors not interested in ceasefire regardless of burgeoning humanitarian problems and rising death toll in the war torn country.

South Sudan – Rebels instigated to continue with clashes rather than ending confrontation.

Central African Republic – France illegal invasion along with UN plus regional intervention under false pretext to restore peace create disorder and exacerbate victims suffering.

Palestine – Israeli authorities defiance demonstrated in more settlement activities,, intensifying blockade on Gaza and imprisonment of Palestinian youth and children.

Bahrain – Tear gas supply from South Korea stifled through global activism.  However weapons delivery from United States, Britain and Saudi Arabia maintained to curb political uprising.

United States – Senate approves Federal Reserve nominee Janet Yellen but delays American citizens unemployment benefits.

Bangladesh – Political Crises Resolution

January 5, 2014

By Padmini Arhant

The political unrest in the South Asian country, Bangladesh amid controversial Parliamentary election having claimed at least 160 lives and many injured is reflective of incumbent and opposition leaderships personal ambitions prioritized over national interest.

Bangladesh post independence in 1971 is yet to experience political stability along with economic and social developments especially among vast majority of struggling population.

Political systems premised on dynasty or hereditary accessions with other choice being candidacy exploiting relevant situation considering neither have addressed serious challenges confronting the nation during respective terms in office proves election a mere formality to legitimize authority.

Bangladesh ongoing turmoil emanating from the standoff between ruling government Awami League Party led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) under opposition leader Khaleda Zia evidently counterproductive.

Premier Sheikh Hasina administration authorized violent crackdown banning peaceful assembly and detention of political opponents in house arrest restricting movement conforms to appeasement of external sources using different nations as pawn to stir events in an attempt to create analogy for intended target viz. Thailand in the region despite the contrast in governance delineating latter from Bangladesh ruling authority.

However, the similarity between Thailand and Bangladesh opposition having served consecutively and failed to deliver on national issues except remaining focused in reclaiming power through party support instigating protests and general strike is also in adherence to foreign agenda causing political disturbance.

Unfortunately as a result of the current government and vying contenders self-centered aspirations in Bangladesh, the people are forced to bear economic losses and human toll increasing with government use of excess force and opposition determination to prolong turmoil in the state.

Instead the leaderships on both sides including other political factions outreach upholding constitution and democratic principles for national reconciliation setting aside differences would ease tensions and save lives from further confrontation.

The political consensus on common goals to revive republic rule with departure from power inheritance claiming entitlement and likewise plutocracy denying rest of the nation fair political representation is the viable option to end stalemate.

Bangladesh electorate predicament on two or multi party disposition to seize power and subsequent misuse of political mandate is an experience shared worldwide.

The breakthrough from such impasse perhaps possible with grassroots coalition forming political party with youth power emerging from disenfranchised and marginalized demography.

Since outside infiltration and their proxy rulers in the country stifle genuine popular front pledged to instrumental transformation in uplifting socio economic conditions and substitute with pseudo emulation to maintain status quo,

The requirement for new political groups beginning at local and national level is to disavow ties or affiliation with ruling class and political establishment to qualify as independent formidable force representing ordinary citizens across the spectrum in society.

National awakening rejecting politics espousing deception and betrayal of public trust due to foreign influence and domestic conventions could produce desirable outcome for the otherwise frustrated and disenchanted voters held hostage in the so-called democratic process.

Bangladesh could once again gain freedom from systemic abuse of power politics relieving nearly 100 million from generational subjugation and indebtedness towards meaningful existence with respect, dignity and prosperity for all.

Wishing striving Bangladesh citizens triumph in political, economic and social tribulation leaving behind traditional suppression of people power.

Peace to all!

Thank you.

Padmini Arhant
