Congratulations! To newly selected Premier Designate Tammam Salam of Lebanon.

The Premier Designate has tough challenges ahead; nonetheless unity among political factions in national interest would facilitate transitional government to deliver the requirements on all matter.

Again, Lebanon could lend necessary support to victims in Syria with tighter border control restricting cross border terrorism and flow of weapons that has consumed many lives in the embattled nation.

The refugee situation with thousands fleeing into nearby borders deserves adequate humanitarian assistance.

The families are extremely vulnerable and treating them humanely is important rather than abusing their disadvantaged status.

Lebanon’s Interior Minister Marwan Charbel stated that some political factions in Lebanon are training these citizens as militants to fight alongside terror networks in Syria.

Such activities are reckless and irresponsible considering these citizens were rendered homeless and forced to leave their towns and villages by the foreign backed terrorist groups and they are in fact responsible for death and destruction of innocent lives in Syria.

Those political entities in Lebanon involved in exploiting human plight are not only exacerbating Syrian suffering but also increasing the burden on Lebanese population creating more refugee problems in neighboring Syria.

Instead, Lebanon and other neighbors of Syria working to end conflict is prudent for that would enable Syrians to rebuild the nation ruined by terrorism.

Moreover, once the illegal proxy war is brought to conclusion, Syrians would not risk their lives crossing over to foreign land and experience hostility.

Setting adjacent nation on fire in the belief that would not affect the states in close proximity is a gross miscalculation.

The security of nations sharing border with Syria – Lebanon, Iraq, Turkey, Jordan and Israel as far as Egypt are directly linked with Syrian crisis.

Turkey, Jordan and Israel are contributing to the turmoil in Syria ignoring widespread ramifications to affect them sooner than later.

Although, Turkey and Jordan leaderships remain active in aggravating the Syrian warfare,

Their approach towards victims of senseless violence is not honorable either, since both nations continue to deport desperate Syrians arriving on respective territories and deny them hospitable environment.

Hence, ceasefire in Syria terminating violence and complete withdrawal of terror operatives is the only option for stability across the Middle East with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Israel, Jordan and Turkey situated in the region.

Premier designate Tammam Salam with significant political experience and public service poised to lead Lebanon through some expected and unpredictable circumstances not unique in election year for any nation.

Lebanon political system overwhelming approval of Premier designate Tammam Salam is promising and maintaining the trend throughout would perhaps lead to effective governance.

Best Wishes to Premier designate Tammam Salam, various political leaderships and people of Lebanon – peace and success in all endeavors to republic and national benefit.

Peace to all!

Thank you.
