India – Illegitimate National Electoral Outcome

India – Illegitimate National Electoral Outcome

Padmini Arhant

Indian election was held and over now with the outcome arguably raising numerous questions on the means in the face of non-correlating ground reality. The voter frustration over election deception is a brewing storm post election given dissatisfaction en masse on Prime Minister Narendra Modi government’s first term performance.

There is no doubt election is transformed into a formality to legitimize illegitimacy.

The elected members of Parliament along with political parties so-called victory draw attention in this regard.

The carefully managed and calibrated election to favor those to silence democracy beckon focus.

BJP’s apparent landslide victory exceeding personal and party expectations despite PM Narendra Modi’s dismal record on social issues and economy in particular not barring national security in the absence of evidence on much touted Balakot air strike is indeed too good to be true.

PM Narendra Modi having unlawfully, unethically and undemocratically eliminated  real candidate the ex-BSF soldier Tej Bahadur Yadav out of the race on false reasons, the so-called invincible Prime Minister Narendra Modi is hailed victor in Varanasi amid massive rejection and disillusionment among Indian electorate including Varanasi voters at large.

BJP guaranteed victory to supposedly opposition heads of political parties like Congress head – Sonia Gandhi, President Rahul Gandhi from Kerala by showing loss in home turf Amethi.

The trend continues with SP leaders Mulayam Singh Yadav ( the one who yearned for PM Narendra Modi’s return during his speech at Parliament closing session), his son SP leader Akilesh Yadav in the SP & BSP coalition in U.P. also spared to muzzle any dissent upon contradictory position in his constituency.

In J&K – the National Congress leader and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah is allowed to win in the embattled state as BJP’s vocal opponent. The inverse would have unraveled BJP’s spin and upset the applecart for the national party default to three seats in defiance of anti-BJP sentiment in J&K.

In West Bengal – rather than crashing and crushing Trinamool Congress (TMC) and TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee, BJP slams the brake in the near head on collision to avoid major raucous and post election turmoil in the otherwise volatile eastern state. The move quietens TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee relegated to be satisfied in retaining Chief Minister post on bare margin.

Down South – In Andhra Pradesh –  BJP axed TDP and Chief Chandrababu Naidu visibly active in interlocutor role pre-election in the hope of bidding farewell to Hindutva ideologue BJP at the centre only to be recipient in reverse format.

BJP knowing well that YSRP blossomed in Andhra, BJP let that bloom as any interjection or disruption would have aroused suspicions on BJP’s selective election maneuver. It so turned out that BJP wish in Andhra Pradesh  to see rival Chandrababu Naidu led TDP out of the scene materialized without BJP doing anything in that respect.

BJP flex muscles and makes inroads in the other half of the territory – Telangana by gaining four seats having faced colossal defeat in the assembly polls in October 2018 to propagate Narendra Modi wave conspicuously  missing back then and now.

Tamil Nadu – BJP generosity towards Congress ally DMK to receive more than they could handle pretty much sealed DMK from crying foul on EVM mismanagement that would have forced DMK to submit to similar counter argument on their extraordinary ballot bonanza.

Kerala – BJP allowing status quo in the southern state is an insurance policy to deter popular demand on vote fraud unequivocally committed in this election following suit from earlier electoral events.

Karnataka – BJP’s dominance admittedly from horse trading in the south western state was registered to convey Hindutva guided BJP determination to overrule election norm.

Delhi – PM Narendra Modi denying recognition of people elected local government represented by AAP was established in the aggressive assault deploying devious tactics to morph EVM enabled clean sweep in the capital state.

Uttar Pradesh – the northern state was primarily the sitting duck with BJP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath handling home ministry or interior ministry misused power witnessed in unprotected transportation of EVM’s from polling stations regardless of those EVMs being empty or full.

Likewise, EVM magic was more potent than Modi mantra in northern states – Bihar, Rajasthan and central state Madhya Pradesh. Though same scenario apply nationwide on EVM facilitated winnings in most parts of the country leaving the remaining intact to offset speculations and obfuscate non-existing Modi mania.

Gujarat cannot be excluded either in EVM scandal. The western state in the backdrop of Modi disenchantment was impetus in BJP manufactured election gimmick.

In nutshell, BJP essentially won over opposition in permitting the relevant members of political factions to maintain their respective Parliamentary and State assembly status confining them to contentment on individual success via unopposed or weak challenges practically delivering electoral advantage to every one of them.

Conversely BJP stifling valid probe on EVM debacle and fraudulent usurpation to power by riding on unpopular Narendra Modi band wagon evident in the biggest political stunt ever declaring the end of democracy with fanfare.

Meanwhile, the election commission and Supreme Court as silent spectators generate the impression on the constitutionally set up institutions metamorphosis to renegades much to democratic system decline.

Anything obtained deceitfully is unsustainable and disintegrates due to delusional claims forging distrust and decadence.

India – Election Results 2019 Upend Democracy

India – Election Results 2019 Upend Democracy

Padmini Arhant

A sad day for India on the demise of world’s largest democracy when fundamentalist ideology premised on communal, divisive and polarizing politics using fear and violence marginalize the foundation of Gandhian ideals and hard fought freedom.

When candidates of a national political party viz. BJP declare Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin a patriot and the party chief Amit Shah standby the provocative statement with pride further denigrating Mahatma Gandhi in using the reference Satyagraha, these candidacies prevailing in the national election is ominous for the nation and the philosophy of ahimsa meaning non-violence, peace and unity.

Notwithstanding the height of presumptuousness in the incumbent Narendra Modi in the earlier term and throughout political campaign proclaiming self as the Supreme pose grave challenges to people represented governance.

The shadow power i.e. corporate financiers, Indian stock market and external forces rallying behind their ally Narendra Modi is expected at the nation’s expense. Though the cause for celebration confined to vested interests having adverse repercussions cannot be ruled out in the near and long term.

Unfortunately, the election has been anything but free and fair considering the violations and  specifically the flow of black money and electoral bonds widely used to buy votes in most parts of the country.

The reports from the campaign ground on minorities and other demography voter registration cancellation depriving them from casting ballots or using their democratic right to participate in the election besides the declining of ex-BSF soldier Tej Bahadur Yadav nomination to contest against candidate Narendra Modi cannot be ignored as well.

The results barring above mentioned electoral irregularities nationwide has settled towards default position due to lack of credible and formidable political choices as a viable alternative despite the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dismal record in office – soaring unemployment, poverty and inflation exacerbating economic woes across the country.

On the regional performance, the outcome reflect anti-incumbency and/or absence of appealing options for the electorate leaning towards the available political factions in the electoral exercise.

India is confronted with nationalism spreading Hindutva doctrine only to be spearheaded in the misuse of political mandate.

India FYI – My contributions to India and Indian Affairs

May 15, 2019

India FYI

My contributions to India and Indian Affairs

Padmini Arhant

I wish to dispel the myth propagated by idle loose talking heads representing political regimes in India that my participation in Indian affairs only limited to election.

Unfortunately I’m expected to grin and bear persistent tirade.

As such I’m obligatory to none as I’m not on anyone’s payroll (public or private) unlike the political class and fakes capitalizing on my profile and identity much to self-detriment.

These members thriving on taxpayers funded salary, perks and privileges deliver misery, poverty, unemployment and crimes in return.

As for my involvement thus far in India’s burgeoning issues,

I have been speaking and intervening as and when required on matter related to ordinary citizens across the spectrum and written several articles specifically on India’s critical security, economic, political, social, nuclear, humanitarian and environment issues not barring entertainment for over a decade now.

Whether it was anti-corruption prior to the emergence of the team headed by Shri Anna Hazare and importance to have effective Lokpal bill without swaying from my affirmation to anti-corruption law.

Or

Voicing my opposition to bifurcation of Southern state Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and Andhra by Sonia Gandhi. I offered meaningful solutions to that particular issue only to be dismissed by Congress ruling cadre riding on unbridled horse at that time and accordingly experienced the fall in electoral outcome in 2014.

Commonwealth Games Resurrection in 2010:

Under Congress regime amidst corruption scandals avalanche implicating every Congress leaderships from the so-called high command Sonia Gandhi to other members in the party,

Then Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and Congress sports administrator Suresh Kalmadi were smothered in corruption dealings and could care less about the Commonwealth Games hosting though they both were implicated for profiteering from this event that was scheduled to be hosted by Delhi in 2010.

In this respect, politicians and entertainment sector viz. film industry and sports – the two chief beneficiaries and representatives in politics were pandering to media mockery of India incapable and incompetent in hosting an international sports event with glimpses of their talk shows flashed in western media making India an international joke at that time.

On my part when I watched the charade, I was determined to turn mockery of India into appreciation as I felt the athletes in India and foreign land having been tasked to intense labor and training to compete in the international event were deeply disappointed considering the Indian government i.e. Congress ruling power almost made up their mind to cancel the event that was confirmed to western media by India’s External Affairs minister S.M.Krishna traveling in New York at that time.

I subjected myself to the task of resurrecting the Commonwealth games and did so with energized athletes coming together in making the event successful amid cheers and applause from the audience.

There is no sense of self-gratitude as far as I’m concerned for I believe and practice modesty and humility. However, when there are forces dedicating their lives to isolate, corner and ambush their target with the sole purpose of defeating and destroying goodness, there is a compulsion to set the record straight for clarity and future precedence.

Similarly, I condemned the genocide of Tamils in Sri Lanka in 2009 and expressed in writing through publication on this website. The horrific crimes against ethnic Tamils were carried out with Sonia Gandhi authorized coordination with then Sri Lankan President and Commander-in-Chief Mahinda Rajapaksa who personally thanked Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi for full cooperation.

Subsequently under Congress regime, the state murder of Delhi rape victim in 2012 and withholding the victim’s name against the victim and her family’s request, I wrote and posted articles on abuse of power in this regard and several other instances by Congress leadership viz. Sonia Gandhi and muted opposition in Indian politics.

The anti-corruption articles from me were not surprisingly unwelcome among Indian political establishment. The opposition BJP then headed by Sushma Swaraj together with Congress in unison censured me in Indian Parliament for daring to speak the truth on corruption in Indian political system.

For the record, the innuendoes and nuances from media on political regimes instructions falsely projecting me as showering compliments on former Chief Minister of Gujarat and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi is nothing more than wishful thinking.

Soon after PM Narendra Modi was sworn to office, I released the audio on mock interview asking very serious questions that touched on controversial and contentious legacy of the former Chief Minister of Gujarat turned Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. Somehow these episodes not captured on the radar of those wasting time in profiling me.

In UPA 2nd term, I published and presented mock interview with Congress High Command Sonia Gandhi in Italian along with English translation. The questionnaire comprised  Sonia Gandhi’s decisions on not only Indian politics but also her personal interference denying a private citizen’s right to exist by not allowing the critically ill patient to receive emergency medical treatment with the entire nation remaining silent spectators to state sponsored tragedy.

My perspectives and opinion on governments alternating to power strictly premised on ground reality and effects on ordinary folks and their suffering. Nothing more and nothing less.

During BJP regime under PM Narendra Modi, I remarked on the reprehensible idea of forceful land acquisition from farmers and natives by PM Narendra Modi and government. I published article intersecting the passage of land acquisition bill by PM Narendra Modi and government in Parliament aimed at aiding corporate allies Adhani, Ambanis and the likes against farmers and middle class citizens owning land.

As mentioned earlier on I had to bear the heat for objecting to former U.S.President Barack Obama administration initiated Walmart monopoly on Indian retail industry.

Also I shed light on agrarian crisis and discussed farmers long standing woes with recommendations to redress farmers plight. I presented my thoughts and ideas to contain the deteriorating conditions in agriculture economy.

On nuclear and environment issues – I firmly stood by locals protesting against Kudankulam nuclear plant revival and Thoothukudi Sterlite Copper plant menace in Tamil Nadu much to elevated political entities like ex-President Abdul Kalam and fraternity criticism for siding with the people and not the political helm on Kudankulam nuclear project.

Humanitarian standpoint – I pledged my support to human rights activists, writers, authors and environmentalists unfairly targeted, arrested with at least two of them even murdered under PM Narendra Modi run BJP regime. I denounced these actions as they occurred in direct human rights violations subverting democracy by PM Narendra Modi and media.

On national security – those who pay attention to my work certainly noticed submission of facts laden post published by me in this context. The audio  with transcripts on Doklam standoff between Indian Armed Forces and People’s Liberation Army of China over China’s road construction plan in Doklam on the trijunction border that includes yet another nation – Bhutan was published at the height of brewing conflict.

Jammu & Kashmir – I have been writing all along since the establishment of this site in 2008 on multifaceted human rights violations against Kashmiris – beginning with Hindus – Kashmiri Pandits and other denominations as well as muslims in the valley having become mere political pawns for both India and Pakistan waging proxy war in their name with no respite.

Again the articles on India’s North East tensions were also published on many occasions on this premier site –

https://padmini arhant.com

Last but not the least, drawing international focus on India’s natural disasters were also covered on the site.

All of these made available in diverse format – written publications, audio and video versions throughout the cycles of Congress and BJP government in power.

There were also postings done on India’s regional politics viz. Tamil Nadu government under former Chief Minister Jayalalitha and counterpart DMK leader Karunanidhi as well as other states like West Bengal under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

I reiterate that I’m not under any constitutional oath as those elected to power in politics are, yet I have been tirelessly working without any monetary payments or benefits whatsoever and devoted significant time of my life on anything and everything about India besides global events and crises.

Those who are supposed to present their report card on their governance for which they are handsomely paid and undeservingly glorified until the last hour are let scot-free while raising infinite questions on my appearance or the lack there of in Indian scene is indeed ad hominem.

Goes without saying – anything provided free costing nothing instead profits to those taking others selfless service for granted would only yearn for more with limitless demands and endless gibes having become the culture.

The elements making allegations against me are mirroring themselves with their showing as paid satirist largely part of youtube sleeper cells category proved worse than terror equivalent in addition to them featuring on television networks for publicity merely preoccupied in mud slinging for personal and political gains.

I rest my case.

Thank you.

India – Elections 2019

VOTE NOTA

Padmini Arhant

India’s overwhelming majority i.e. the average citizens are shackled and enslaved by anti-democratic, communal, dynasty, violent, corrupt, criminal, celebrity politics servile to foreign diktat for narcissistic goals to grab power, fame and fortune.

The unemployed youth in particular are exploited to defend criminal politics on social media with political media investment in propaganda to deflect public attention from real economic issues hurting the population at large.

Indian electorate have no chance of taking dysfunctional political class to task or hold them accountable in the politics controlled judiciary leaving them entirely at ruthless political regimes mercy.

The only opportunity to Indian voters is the polls to reject political establishment in entirety sending a strong message on their disapproval of stagnant status quo depriving ordinary people the right to equal access in all things related to economy, politics and social status.

VOTE NOTA

India’s disillusioned and frustrated voters reject crony, corrupt, criminal, catastrophic cadre redeeming your dignity and respect that has long been seized from you by political regimes alternating to power.

Thank you.

Indian Politics Election 2019 (Hindi)

Final Version

Indian politics and social issues are discussed in this final version. The tolerance or the lack thereof defines character and civilization. The modern age quantum leap in technology, science and social conditions represent human adaptation that somehow not reflected in humanitarian issues beckoning empathy and ethical norm.

The economic growth only benefitting top 1% while remaining population struggling to make ends meet could not be claimed as progress and development. The vast majority subjugated in abject poverty, social injustice and generational prejudice due to political ideology, pervasive corruption and dysfunctional system hinder fair opportunity for all across the spectrum.

India’s less fortunate and marginalized demography hope for a better tomorrow is possible upon awakening to political reality.

India – Political Culture

January 21, 2019

India – Political Culture

Padmini Arhant

Politics as such do not have great reputation in the world. It is not politics fault for the problem is directly related to those in politics pledging allegiance to internal and external counterproductive ideology, philosophy, anti-humanity and anti-nature dealings.

Among many fields and occupations, politics that is supposed to be public service continues to attract disdain among citizens anywhere in the world.

The reason behind this status is corruption in politics, abuse of power against the same people i.e. electorate granting them mandate to govern the state or nation. Unfortunately, this mandate often and repeatedly misinterpreted by those assuming power who misuse the same much to own downfall.

Politics is also controlled by deep state with non-citizens reining absolute authority via proxies and puppets installed as head of the state. The dark forces as incognito power cover their base by betting on all horses facilitating the inevitable win in the formality called election.

Election is a process set up to deceive electorate in casting vote on empty promises with campaigners of various political parties exploiting average citizens for self and vested interests during their term in office. In Indian politics, the voters are presented with star power by issuing tickets to film actors, actresses and sports personalities to deflect public attention from real issues.

In fact, Indian economy is drained via corruption, tax evasion, embezzlement, illegal offshore accounts and black money hoarding by three major entities and they are – members in politics, celebrities and industrialists – Rajnithi, Celebrity, Udyogpathi persistently dominate leaving the overwhelming majority in abject poverty and generational struggle to make ends meet in their lives.

These three elements’ abuse in Indian society is the cause for ever increasing gap between the poor and filthy rich never content with the loot from the middle class and lower income being the actual tax payers in the economy. Indian politics is also severely dependent on caste based electoral gains serving as vote banks to various political factions in the absence of meaningful deliverable economic policy and social manifesto. Not to mention the political dynasty, communal politics playing a major role in seeking power. The politicians and those in favor of hierarchy and social injustice in society are vehemently opposed to eliminating casteism, the stigma on India amid fraudulently claiming progress since the so-called independence.

The vast number in Indian society are marginalized, isolated, discriminated and disenfranchised to suit upper echelons corrupt lifestyle and parasitic existence. Not surprisingly, the reference to rape is loosely made during election campaigns and otherwise considering the dominant members raping the economy besides violating ordinary folks that are routine activities in the country. The rape incidents following their leaders in politics, entertainment and other sectors are rampant not sparing infants in the out of control morbid sexual predatory instincts. The situation is further exacerbated by Indian film industry and their leading influential sources commercializing sex for profitability in arts and entertainment.

Women status among the weaker and vulnerable sections in Indian society is far from improvement as they are treated as second class citizens which is relatively better than those commonly known as Dalits or untouchables, gay, transgender, eunuchs and anyone affected by social prejudice including people with disabilities are all regarded beneath human category.

These sentiments are openly and candidly reflected in political speech without any shame or restraint. As recently as a day ago when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP ruled northern state Uttar Pradesh’s legislative member – the female politician’s diatribe targeting political opponent enunciated rape in graphic details alongside describing their female political rival as worse than eunuch not worthy of respect in society clearly depict contemptuous political culture and those whom they represent in politics. This behavior is interestingly rewarded with ministerial posts by political party promoting indecency, insolence and intolerance in public domain.

The backwardness in political mindset is unequivocally posing impediments in India’s social economic development diminishing the prospects of much required transformation in society. Again, the political contenders vying for highest position in the land having tainted record such as abusing women whether in involvement of gang rape citing Rahul Gandhi or state sponsored murder of rape victim in 2012 by Sonia Gandhi, then Congress high command with opposition and other political members complicity and,

Last but not the least the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi abandonment of his spouse without providing any support to her are indicative of women’s plight in India. The background further emphasize that those who ignore responsibility towards next of kin are not poised to care for others let alone the nation they are elected to serve in the official designation.

Accordingly, women in urban and rural areas in particular are confronted with challenges in the mistreatment of women beginning from the political class down to other segments in the hostile environment.

Indian politics is predominantly premised on goon and gutter politics deploying unscrupulous tactics and nefarious means to gain political mileage and ultimately the mantle of power by unworthy and undeserving figures fostered to maintain status quo. Needless to say, meritocracy is a misnomer in the contentious class and caste oriented system.

The female politicians on their part have fair share of political baggage in corruption, hardline strategy using unemployed youths as buffer to curb political dissent through violent threats and crimes against disillusioned citizens in their respective states and province.

The political contestants with criminal charges emerging as representatives of Indian citizens and India, apparently the largest democracy remain the biggest irony.

India has a long way to go in terms of social acceptance and fair economic opportunity constrained by embedded corruption, nepotism, cronyism, dynastic politics and demonstrably the caste epidemic derailing any positive growth necessary in the real India comprising poor, working class, suppressed labor force, neglected farmers and socially ostracized demography.

Mass consciousness and action eradicating casteism, classism, sexism i.e. any form of divisive polarizing politics and social dogma contributing to treason and breach of public trust is the way forward to build a nation of optimism and reliable future for all.

Thank you.

India – Political Parties Dissolution

India – Political Parties Dissolution

Padmini Arhant

India is at the cusp of political dissolution with major national parties and regional politics having exhausted means of survival considering their fair share of corruption scandals, criminal records though none are held accountable, ethnic violence and abuse of power during each political party term in office.

The political parties’ submission to global syndicate and subservience to colonial dictate reflected in status quo.

Indian political parties without exception have long been undermining sovereignty and republic rights evident in dynasty and communal politics exclusively for individual ambitions and personal interests using political platform.

Congress party founded in the Colonial era by colonizers continued beyond so-called independence of India with political dynasty adapting monarchy rule demonstrated in inheritance of power within one family viz. Nehru, Indira, Rajeev, Sonia, Priyanka Vadra, Rahul in that party. The trend soon became the norm among other political factions in the supposedly world’s largest democracy.

On the other hand, colonizers fostered RSS alongside Muslim League pre-independence to polarize society in the divide and conquer strategy engender divisive tactics to maintain power witnessed in RSS guided BJP and specifically Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sarkar or government.

The political parties’ pseudo position in declaring them secular is fallacious and nothing more than an election gimmick. Casteism is deeply rooted in politics besides targeting religion for political mileage in the otherwise seriously defunct governance by UPA earlier and NDA, BJP at present.

The political class diligently following their global masters’ playbook use proxies and false depictions to deceive population and score fictitious credits to boost image.

In the absence of necessary development among overwhelming majority remaining in abject poverty and significant percentage struggling to make ends meet, the political establishment confidence to regain and/or retain power explains political reality predominantly premised on continuing business as usual with institutionalized corruption eroding structure.

The rich, famous and powerful represented as industrialists, celebrities and political heir basically run the government on global syndicate shadow. These members enter politics to entirely benefit them amassing wealth lasting generations with the concept of contentment ominously missing from their ethos much to self-detriment and national travesty.

Political campaigns are funded from various sources given the free flowing and open investment of black money not barring counterfeit currency and incentives to poor voters buying votes for cash and kind, the tradition hardly deemed a crime.

Notwithstanding political threats, violence and authorized killings are casually carried out against viable independent candidates in the election. The overall political apparatus function and subscribe to mob rule and goon politics in quelling dissent on state of affairs.

The societal hierarchy with discrimination and deviation highlighting social economic disparity is fundamental in suppressing pervasive development. The poor becoming poorest and lower income as well as underprivileged, marginalized and social outcasts disenfranchised enormously favor upper echelons to exploit conditions under the pretext of empathy during elections that vanish soon after the polls resetting to political default.

Neither political parties have accepted responsibility to explosive scandals squandering Indian tax payers’ money with little or no concern for widespread impact on the middle class onwards to the rock bottom in the economic strata. Again, this pattern is symmetrical to global syndicate policy.

These traits are classic in the global clique approved form of governments not only in India but world over.

Indian political establishment leading candidates in the national election i.e. Rahul Gandhi from Congress and incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi and their regional coalitions have no mass appeal despite superficial projections to convince electorate ignoring public awareness on general experience and precipitous decline in government performance during UPA then and BJP alliance with NDA up until now.

The situation prompts citizens – those suffering en masse across the spectrum to come forward bidding farewell to irreversibly damaged Indian politics creating opportunity for effective, responsible, strong and able leaderships to lead and govern the complex nation with diverse aspirations amid chronic deficiency in checks and balances posing hindrance to overdue collective peace, progress and prosperity.

Indian voters must rise to the occasion and decisively express now on the preparedness in transforming India from decadent rule to efficient, ethical and transparent democratic system.

Thank you.

India – Unconditional Release of Human Rights Activists

September 10, 2018

India – Unconditional Release of

Human Rights Activists

Padmini Arhant

The latest development on human rights activists’ extension on house arrest pending Supreme Court hearing on September 12th, 2018 is suo motu in the backdrop of absence of credible evidence against all of them compared to the other two members Hindutva leaders Milind Ekbote and Manohar ‘Sambhaji’ Bhide, associated with BJP government accused of instigating the Bhima-Koregaon violence and accordingly FIR filed against them.

The contrasting treatment highlights the misappropriation of judicial process detaining the former in house arrest while exempting the latter from any inquiry.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi headed BJP government in Delhi directing the Supreme Court is evident as claimed in another controversial national issue on Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, where the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath representing the BJP government in Delhi asserted BJP’s unilateral influence on Indian Supreme Court over all matter.

Upon reviewing the facts on the arrests of five human rights activists and government concerted crackdown on dissent violently pursuing journalists, civil rights activists, writers, poets and intellectuals in society targeted for voicing concerns on the plight of marginalized, disenfranchised and isolated segments as well as women and minorities in India, the government action clearly is a blatant violation of constitution that guarantees all citizens in the Republic of Indiathe inalienable right to express views and opinion on any issues including disagreement on any government policies and programs or the lack thereof affecting citizenry.

Since these five human rights activists have been unlawfully held on unsubstantiated charges, the government and judiciary combined could no longer prolong the case that is arguably politically motivated to set precedence in curbing democratic rights nationwide. The overcast leads to prejudice besides failing to meet the legal requirement on judgment against the accused in the satisfaction of beyond reasonable doubt for conviction.

Under these circumstances, the state infringement on civil rights of the human rights activists denying them constitution granted freedom of expression in public or private sessions is a serious contravention deserving civil debate and legislation to prevent misuse of authority at any level. Those who were engaged in this instance against the human rights activists are to be investigated and held accountable to set the procedure for future reference. The judicial reform in Parliament is equally pertinent to allow the legal course to function flawlessly expediting hearings and decisions across the board beginning with law enforcement action on citizens complaints to court proceedings without state intervention in obstruction of justice.

The five human rights activists – Varavara Rao, Vernon Gonzalves, Arun Ferreira, Sudha Bharadwaj and Gautam Navlakha are to be released unconditionally effective immediately and all allegations against them discharged restoring their dignity and sanctity of Indian democracy that would otherwise be reflected under siege.

Indian Politics Erosion Under Foreign Powers Influence

September 7, 2018

Indian Politics Erosion Under Foreign Powers Influence

Padmini Arhant

The day India is freed from foreign syndicate subjugation of democracy together with all political parties including press and media treason in their collusion with extraneous elements,

Then there is hope and relief for Indian electorate i.e. the average citizens as overwhelming majority in the country to expect normal life.

Unfortunately, the politics of all shades and designs as well as communication media are controlled and directed by foreign diktat strangling democracy with brute force and crony culture prevalent in the system.

The rogue conglomerate abroad operating the Indian media and political structure alternating term in office as Congress and BJP along with coalition regardless of parties is factual event and not a perception.

The newspaper editor like Arun Shourie, a former economist at the World Bank joining the ranks and legacies of colleagues such as P. Chidambaram, Pranab Mukherjee, Man Mohan Singh in Congress having served World Bank were duly appointed as Finance Ministers to return favor to them and they also diligently did to stay in power.

Similarly, the lawyer appointed as Finance Minister at World Bank’s behest despite losing Lok Sabha election in 2014, Arun Jaitley in BJP pushed forward the international bankers digitalization concept in the recent demonetization debacle to eliminate cash economy replaced with credit and debit card widespread use as the transactional medium in India.

Accordingly, Indian Express news editor Arun Shourie chiming foreign employers’ tone, a disposition much to self-embarrassment reminiscent of colonial era is least surprising. The foreign invaders then and now use internal agents akin to Arun Shourie to prolong status quo.

World Bank, the financial institution together with IMF are directly responsible for transforming developing nations and once prosperous economies into banana republic with toxic prescriptions speaks volume on effacing growth and development worldwide.

The flawed so-called economic remedies from World Bank and IMF proved disastrous due to vested interests favoring international financial cartel and affiliates in power. Yet they were imposed on nations to submit to devious strategy to benefit core members in the circle.

They were successfully implemented in nations recruiting members like Arun Shourie to convince the already acquiescing political cadre in India and elsewhere.

In the political front, the scandalous dynastic Congress depleting national treasury amassing wealth and land by Sonia Gandhi family members and leading Congress party members viz. P. Chidambaram, Kapil Sibal and the likes on one side,

The other being, the fundamentalist demagogues evolving into despots in BJP not excluding the fringe political factions nationwide are under international criminal clique’s direct dominance.

Both Congress and BJP upon assuming ruling position in Delhi are then invariably guided and prodded by their international masters to fill key cabinet posts like finance, foreign and defense ministries involving foreign dealings and transactions to largely favor multinational corporations as well as prominent Indian companies such as Ambani, Adani, Tata, and Birla…to name a few with investments in foreign ventures to further drain Indian economy.

The implicit foreign consortium coup against population of every nation on earth cannot be ignored and evident in economic woes confronting global mass represented in the middle class, lower income and the poorest in every society.

Indian electorate is at the crossroads to either continue or decline foreign conglomerate guided political and economic systems not excluding the press and communication outlets spreading propaganda and condescendence laden bizarre innuendoes against anyone challenging the foreign sources obsolete and dysfunctional policies in the effort to retain ascendancy and subordination.

There is also another impediment to alternatives considering the trend in buying the individuals heading any new political parties with incentives such as power, fame and fortune.

The ones who volleyed Indian citizens’ aspirations in the anti-corruption rally were typically lured with Magsaysay awards, Indian Padma Bhushan or Vibhushan titles and so on besides appointment of others in government positions like governor or lieutenant governor and higher civil service posts to prevent effective anti- corruption legislation.

These members also fall in line conforming to the theory and practice – If you can’t beat them then join them. They become one of them with business as usual.

Human weakness to material status is exploited by forces persistently engaged in undermining and marginalizing segments no longer limited to minorities and other demography. In fact, affecting vast numbers in mainstream as well.

Elections in general in most parts of the world are marred with irregularities, vote rigging and ballot disposal. The massive cash influx in campaign financing from various origins is a common factor almost everywhere and deploy diverse means defying electoral rules and regulations.

Indian election campaigns are anything but an exception in this regard. All political parties compete with one another in exceeding violations on election campaign. They adopt any and all tactics ranging from bribery to violent threats and vote manipulation to stamp their illegitimate victory.

The tradition is shared by all political parties and factions in varying proportions and already underway towards 2019 Indian national election.

The northern Indian state Rajasthan’s BJP Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje battling with corruption scandals in contradiction to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s narrative on BJP’s clean government and representation nationwide has committed to distributing 1 crore /million free smartphones to Rajasthan’s disenchanted and disillusioned electorate. The rural voters and urban unemployed youth in particular are vulnerable to these scams during election.

This is resumption in subverting the idea of free and fair election.

No wonder, the sane voices and capable competent members as intellectuals, activists with leadership qualities refusing to toe the line are held in house arrest or face incarceration and defamation from the unscrupulous enterprise in house and offshore running the gamut.

Indian Politics and Society – Could this be a Democracy?

Indian Politics and Society – Could this be a Democracy?

Padmini Arhant

Indian political class is representative of only three segments – the corrupt political establishment which is the incumbent and opposition alike, the industrialists and celebrities amassing illegitimate power, wealth and fame.

The so-called world’s largest democracy is hostage to corrupt, criminal and crony celebrity worship where political parties desperately depend on celebrities from entertainment industry during election campaign to mislead voters with big and small screen fictional heroes and fake heroines to sell fairy tales. They are also the preferred candidates for members in both the lower and upper house of the Indian parliament. Both BJP and Congress governments never fail to confer civil awards to Bollywood actors and actresses regardless of many among them being undeserving and unworthy of such honor. This is nothing more than bribery to retain relations between politics and entertainment industry.

There is a pact to have each other’s back and accordingly they exchange favors to benefit one another. The Bollywood actor and actress engaged in hit and run manslaughter from drunken driving and excess speed respectively resulting in loss of lives of innocent mainstream citizens are exempt from law that is otherwise applicable to average citizen in society. Prime Minister Modi government had gone out of their way and intercepted the criminal charge brought on the actor and actress with the latter being BJP’s lower house MP and the former recruited for 2019 election campaign.

Furthermore, in February 2018 a Bollywood actress passed away from alcoholism, the BJP government in the State of Maharashtra with Central authorities’ approval bid farewell to her with a state honor and national flag wrapped around the coffin falsely suggesting martyrdom. Notwithstanding denigration of the national flag and importantly those genuine martyrs, the true patriots responsible for the flag and national independence.

Ironically, the current BJP government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi fictitious claims on random citizens quoting disrespect to national flag subsequent to the above-mentioned fanfare to Bollywood actress despite the circumstances of her demise and the misuse of national flag is hardly a matter of insolence to the flag or freedom fighters per government definition of patriotism and behavior pattern.

In comparison, the seventeen-year-old high school girl student in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu falls victim to targeted sniper attack in the peaceful protest for environment protection, her family is denied possession of slain body to perform last rites making them plead for nearly two days since fatal shooting.

Likewise, the ordinary female citizen in Delhi is a gang rape victim and Congress President Sonia Gandhi intervenes between the doctor and patient forcing the critically ill patient transportation overseas against physician advise causing patient’s death. To add insult to injury to her traumatized parents and other family members, the state together with political opposition at foreign authorities’ behest withheld her name again in violation of both the patient and her parents’ will.

Contrarily, the politics fueled social issues based on caste and religion aimed at marginalized demography and violence experienced by citizens in different states from deployment of troops or public funded law enforcement routinely produce casualties sparking reaction amongst members in civil society.

Those who dare to raise voices and express concern over these flagrant incidents are framed anti-nationals with arrest warrants issued witnessed in Prime Minister Narendra Modi government’s latest action. Indian governments in power at any time displaying zero tolerance to constructive criticism and fair analysis is a serious blow to the idea of democracy. The heads of state at the national and regional level assume position of authority to the extreme undermining civil rights to question abuse of power in the absence of transparency and accountability.

Yet another political maneuver is using caste, minorities and disenfranchised segments as vote banks for political mileage. Both BJP and Congress along with their coalitions in different states continue to exploit these groups for political advantage ignoring the social and economic repercussions lasting generations among these population. The caste classifications as scheduled caste and scheduled tribe not excluding Dalits are maintained under the pretext of reservations or quota and preference only to polarize society. In return, drawing attention to such manipulation is rebutted as seditious accusing the fact presenter.

The trend has been exhausted and reached saturation with clashes erupting from other castes for not having equal opportunity to compete on meritocracy though the policy is deceptively dubbed inclusive. In fact, the contrast is evident with the Home Minister Raj Nath Singh in his latest press conference confirming caste census for citizens to specify their caste made mandatory and expected to be implemented by PM Modi government rather than moving towards abolishing caste system and placing all citizens and territories for due economic development increasing prospects for financial and social progress.

Indian electorate rejecting celebrity-oriented election rallies and candidacies together with objection to massive campaign funding from all sources without limits enabling political parties to buy votes from economically vulnerable voters are preliminary steps towards freeing the society from affluent dominance. Additionally, demanding political parties to adhere to democratic process holding primary election allowing people to choose Prime Minister candidates instead of imposing incumbent and opponent from either party as the only choice leaving the electorate at the national parties mercy is fundamental to free and fair election.

In terms of privileges and immunity on crimes, the celebrities, politicians and industrialists are entitled to tax evasions, embezzlement and various nefarious unscrupulous dealings not barring illegal arms trade, drug trafficking including elimination of anyone regarded an obstacle through contractual killings are not uncommon.

The politics owned media, press and communication outlets are inundated with propaganda to muzzle objective evaluation of the government policies and programs having negative impact on overwhelming majority in the country.  The freedom of speech is curtailed to a large extent with hardline approach exercised by all political parties to remain in power. The broadband access is also stifled to contain free flow of information even during state or national crisis related to government crackdown on citizens seeking solutions to problems arising from dereliction of public servants duty.

In the course of corruption scandals or major investigations involving government entities and their relatives in sensitive issues like drug and flesh trade as well as other matter, the investigating officials with incriminating evidence leading towards indictment are invariably transferred at the nick of time and alternatively they are compelled to quit job ending the probe there and then to shield members in politics, entertainment and other industry.

The political situation is toxic and deteriorating with Prime Minister Modi and administration exerting extra judicial power considering the blanket order on dissent and activism on human rights violations coded anti-nationalism. The other being embankment defending prevalent silent emergency rule to mute credible and legitimate opposition. The predecessor Congress were no different in their effort to quell opinion and smudge data on mountainous scandals that ousted them from power.

Not surprisingly, the independent organization Transparency International in Europe has categorized India nearly close to Somalia in corruption among the worst corrupt nations in the world.

These actions without a shadow of doubt endanger democracy and set precedence for mass subjugation. The tradition misinterpreting people’s mandate for governance to address relevant and significant issues confronting them and national interests diverted to empowerment of selective class in society would definitively lead to undesirable outcome.

Change must begin at the top to trickle down to bottom. Indian electorate have the right and power to enforce the long overdue evolution through ballot, the non-violent and peaceful means to bring about positive effect.
